Ah sorry to hear you didn't like it. I think I recommended you check it out when you did your top Indicators of 2020. Personally I enjoyed the film and the wealth of extras.
I’d love to know what you loved about it. For me it was the characters, I didn’t like them and that was a huge hill for me to overcome. It’s beautifully shot though.
@@manvfilm the main guy is totally self-destructive but you find out why at the end. His guilt about how he was able to write the novel and he doesn't deserve everything he is given. Eva is his punishment. Also it is very beautifully shot around Venice.
I can see that, and maybe the film worked on me. Maybe I just don’t like tales of self destructive people.

It would be. Sometimes I get bummed out when I don’t like a film. This was one of those occasions.
You can’t love them all Graham.
I enjoy most of Losey’s early films. The Damned on indicator Hammer Box Set 4 was pretty entertaining. I can’t remember seeing ‘Eve’, I don’t think I’ll seek it out after leaving you cold.
Yeah I was a little disappointed with this one. Just hated the characters.
