    I use warm water in my water cup this helps melting the "crumbles".

      Hi beckymadrid5894, I appreciate your honesty. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with these. I don't think these were a total loss, but at the same time, they aren't the easiest materials to work with. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment =)

      I would think "oils" while using these. Harder brushes and a thick aplication for a painterly finish, not "watercolor". I would even use a canvas

      Hmm, that's a good idea. I had experimented once with applying traditional oil pastels onto the back of an Ikea CLIP frame, which had a lot of texture. I went through a lot of pastel but the surface and textures from the pastels were a lot of fun to play around with and see as an element in the piece. I'll try your idea with the Mungyo pastels.
