Thanks a lot for this video. Consider me (personally) being behind the curve a bit and I struggled with the 2 min. at first, but I got it now. Treat HSGI stuff like you mean it and the reward is great.
I fought with 4 Smoke Green pouches yesterday evening, took me almost an hour to get those darned malice clips in place on the pouches alone! And man I even broke a sweat! And I'm in a fit condition. It looks so insanely easy, almost self-automatic, how those malice clips co-operate with him as he puts the pouch in place. I can't comprehend why the malice did not stuck on the crossing cordura strips of malice itself. Not to forget those darned shockcords in the corners that you need to pass with the malice tip. I was so glad I did not rip anything apart despite the military grade quality! And I've not even managed to mount the pouches onto a rig yet... Oh boy... But I've been assured by all this fuss last night that these TRULY WILL LAST. IF I manage to get them in place... :P
Topher, you should be a teacher. I believe the children are our future. teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense.... you know the story. ;)
Found a little trick, zip ties, maybe it will help others. It was my first time and holy hell, I don't have the dexterity to keep the pouch pulled up, a loop held open, hold on to a set of pliers and not lose my progress from one loop to the other. What I found that helped is I got some sturdy zip ties and used them to help me guide and pull them through the molle straps and prevent them from going backwards. To get them through the loops was a nightmare without having any slack. The more you get it together the less slack there is. But the zip ties pulled through great and once I figured to not worry about tugging on it. Once through the loop, change the zip tie up as necessary to keep it secured while you mess with the other one. I didnt close the zip ties in a loop, zip them up or anything, I just used the fat end as an anchor in the hole in the end. Just have to get the end of the zip tie through to get it started. Send the thin end through so you can pull on it. That way I didnt have to try to have any tools holding things open or pulling, all the while worried about the other side slipping back through wrong direction. Once I pull it through I change the zip tie up so it prevents it from slipping backwards. Done. I would have given up otherwise. Only concern would be the zip tie messing up the hole but that didnt happen for me. Still fine once I had it through and snapped at the end. Not an expert, but got the shit done. No step by step instructions, again first time and Im not doing it again for a while.
The replacement hsgi clips are so much better than the malice clips. My first 2 2x rifle mag, single rifle, and 2 pistol mag carriers have the malice and they were a biotch to put on. When I picked up a 3rd pistol pouch it came with the new hsgi clips and it went on in seconds. I mounted it wrong at first. But once you see how they're suppose to be locked it was under 10 seconds, including weaving time, to fully lock it onto my warbelt.
Just fought with my 3 Tacos and my Warrior DCS PC, took me 20 minutes. Because my fingers started bleeding at the second Molle stage of the first pouch, i took two random zip ties, attached them through the hole of the malice Clip and used them to lead it through the webbing. It´s far easier because the zip ties are longer and more flexible. Attachment is a pain in the ass, but the pouches are awesome and because of the stiff malice Clips they don´t wobble around.
I've been messing with these things for the past hour. I have four tacos and I haven't been able to attach even one to anything. It seems like a very bad design to me.
Just got two of it this weekend, got quite a problem inserting the malice into the center webbing behind the TACO. The bungee seems to always get in the way, is there any way to solve it?
Having to use malice clips to install these makes me not want to buy taco pouches again. I've been trying for an hour. I'm sure it will all be worth it, because the pouches themselves look and work awesome.
These are still very difficult to mount. I couldn't get them to click on the ends. Hsgi please come up with a new system. The pouch to still great though.
Best tutorial on UA-cam so far. 👍🏻
Literally no fucking idea on how he did it that fast. Glad to see I'm not the only one lol

Been trying for an hour. 1st clip went fairly easy as shown. The 2nd one has me ready to kill!
3 years later and same crap design? LOL I'm getting better with practice. 2nd taco on in about 10 mins. Experience is the greatest teacher
This was a full on pain in the ass putting them on till i saw this video. thanks

Seems to be a good tight fit. I’m going to buy some just so I can have the fun installing them.

Can you please do a video of how to properly attach the HSGI low drag suspenders to the HSGI Sure-Grip battle belt.
i had no needle nose pliers, but two popsicle sticks and a zip tie did the job for me (had to improvise)
Wow. That was pretty difficult lol
Love these clips, man.

why do my plastic straps/clips on my taco kydex handcuff pouch have screws through the middle of them with nuts on the backside?
Redefined the word "easy"
I want to see you do that on a VTAC Brokos belt with a inner belt. It's impossible !!
Is that the ATACS pattern that I see? Are you guys using that pattern now (or soon)?

How long will a malice clip last
It does need a pair of pliers, but after 5 minutes I know these pouches won't be falling off.
Having the rounded end malice clips might help...
@h2percussion ;-)
my hsgi came with different clips there shorter and I can not find a way to properly mount it ?
Probably the same ones I got with the little ball end. An even more pain to unsnap. Not sold on this pouch or molle clips. Going to sell it.
@HighSpeedGearInc
thats uncalled for. and mean. im going to go cry.
Took me a better part of an hour to thread and mount 3 double TACOs on to my PC. I literally broke a sweat after a while. Lol
I agree that malice clips all are horrible. Does anyone know of any alternatives ?
Short or long malice clips for tacos??
Ryan K. Short. But apparently they traded their malice clips for the new HSGI clips which are supposedly easier to mount.
woodland dammit.
For anyone who buys these. Ditch the fucking malice clips and buy some Blackhawk Speed Clips. You'll love life even more.
Lol they make a point about saying its easy when its not its super hard
Such a simple process that you need multiple videos showing how to use it. Haha oh the irony!
sadly my pouchs are not elastic making the job allot harder then it need to be.
Great mag pouch.. Terrible installation
There has to be a better and easier way of attaching pouches. I can do it with Malice Clips but they aren't the easiest thing to use.
This guy.. Acts like he's done it a million times....
@unmotomarine0351 Get a job you dirty hippie!!
