The umps are absolutely right in the Piazza call. The catcher has to remain INSIDE the catcher's box until the ball is RELEASED or else it's a balk, and interference. Piazza was WAY OUTSIDE long before the ball was thrown. The batter is awarded first and all runners advance one base.
@@dphil9782 What they didn't show (but I've seen it on other videos), as the umpires were walking off the field after the game ended (Blue Jays lost), the HP umpire got hit with a drink thrown from a fan. Classic!
I don't understand what pitchers don't understand about the fact that in a lot of cases pitching behind someone or hitting them with the ball can be grounds for ejection.
wow...i dont know how i would deal with these umps lol if you dont agree with them they will just throw you out or if you show bad sportsmanship you're out thats so dumb
Or maybe you can accept the fact that they're human and they make mistakes? When was the last time your favourite sports team had a 100% perfect game? Never. It's never happened in the history of sports. But you don't see referees or umpires or officials bashing teams for bad plays. If I, as a soccer ref, said to a coach "Why are you putting her on the field? She's a terrible player." I would get fired. But the coach can say to me "Why did you make that call? You're a terrible ref." And I just have to "deal with it?" People like that are the reasons why so many young kids that try reffing for the first time don't come back. Cause assholes think "they're young and inexperienced. Let's use that as leverage and make them feel terrible and give me more calls." Don't tell me it doesn't happen, because I've been standing on the sideline mentoring a new ref and had to kick a coach out for doing that. We. Are. Human. Deal. With. It.
I would like to mention that when Peralta was ejected for a substance, Joe Madden (Rays manager) decided at the bottom of the 9th, down 5-4, asked the umpire to check the pitchers glove. He was booed right after.
that was ball 5 on Lawrie. only called because of the show up on ball 4 unprofessional umpiring. Lawrie's shouldn't have slammed helmet like that but he totally justified to be mad. ump cost Toronto the game.
Anyone else notice the worse the strike 3 call is the faster they'll eject the batter?lol if it's actually a strike umps laugh it off but a called strike 3 in the dirt its like "are you serious"? "You're outta here"!
+Mikasa Ackerman All the reports say pine tar. It's not uncommon for teams to know former pitchers "tricks" and call them out on it if they are getting handled by the pitcher. Kind of a dick move considering they obviously knew he was doing it when he played for them too, and the only reason they don't like it now is because he's beating them.
People know that an inch off the plate is an acceptable call as well? Some of these are cutting hairs. 95 miles an hour and humans are supposed to be able to judge the difference between the plate and 2 inches off? Not easy.
They should have some "RULE" for rouge umpires.... If "MLB" thinks that umpires cannot hold vendettas etc, then they are delusional. There has to be some sort of rule that allows the "EJECTED COACH" to ask for the umpire to be changed for one on the field and a optional hearing afterwards if said ejected coach asks for one, thus if a umpire was in the "WRONG" he gets a strike, 3 strikes and said umpire should have to take a re-training course etc and even face disciplinary actions. However if a umpire was in the "RIGHT" player/team should face consequences also. etc Umpires are (HUMAN) just like the teams and players. Until man can design A.I to umpire or take out the human element, then rules must be in place to protect (BOTH SIDES) players/umpires (BOTH)
Michael Galle video reviews and commentators/baseball analysts are way way better in my opinion than unionized human umpires/referees pro sports no longer needs human logically error in any of the major pro sporting events or in pro sports organizations

1:11 I love how they both do it perfect.
Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire...
Motioning to both players
And the Dodgers celebrating in their dugout
The world is a better place when Ron Washington is managing a major league baseball team.
2:00-2:02 his reaction is hilarious
6:57 when Lawrie threw his helmet at the umpire that was savage
i just wish it would've hit the umpire in the face no less than what he deserves for a terrible call
@@dphil9782 What they didn't show (but I've seen it on other videos), as the umpires were walking off the field after the game ended (Blue Jays lost), the HP umpire got hit with a drink thrown from a fan. Classic!
I don't watch much in the way of sports but I could watch ejections/unsportsmanlike conduct of any sport forever
torrealba's ejection was hilarious 😂😂😂
Greg Gibson sure loves tossing people
No, I can assure you Greg Gibson does not like tossing people. They just like forcing Gibson to eject.
You know Greg Gibson, he does love to motion to the players...
That intro was great though
Nobody has as heated an argument as an umpire and coach in Major League Baseball.
I hate how you can't see when the players get ejected because of the replay
Me too.
Greg Gibson is a farmer in Kentucky. He has been seeing too many bulls pissing on him during the off season!!!!
5:21 why is the rays guy hitting himself in the balls? its hillarious
Lol
It's fun to bounce the ball off your cup. Like, "I'm invincible".
Michael Buist I know right he just takes the ball and starts smacking himself
Hey man I do that too. sometimes your cup makes you itch and the only way to scratch it is by hitting it 🙄
Michael Buist I
Valentines disguise is priceless
I don't understand what pitchers don't understand about the fact that in a lot of cases pitching behind someone or hitting them with the ball can be grounds for ejection.
8:05 it's Pat Mahomes Sr!!
6:25-7:29: I saw this game, OMG, Brett Lawrie was such a lose cannon. What a hot head!
WHY DID YOU TAKE THE GLOVE👍🏻
wow...i dont know how i would deal with these umps lol if you dont agree with them they will just throw you out or if you show bad sportsmanship you're out thats so dumb
+y0Relapse agreed. they all have this "i'm always right" mentality, but they're not. I think jim joyce proved that much, at least
Or maybe you can accept the fact that they're human and they make mistakes? When was the last time your favourite sports team had a 100% perfect game? Never. If it doesn't fit you must acquit lol
8:21-8:27 the guy sounds like Donald Trump!
Build a wall around third base the Dodgers and the Yankees will pay for it all 😂
Valentine is classic! 😂
I like the video but the video is very short i want to see it longer on the video next time do it longer on thè video please
1:20 helmet down EJECTION! 😂🤣😅
6:50 2nd helmet EJECTION LAD hit referee
Those are some quick hooks! What is going on here?
at 6:50, they might have actually said he swung because he did sort of do a swinging motion right after the pitch
It wasn't, he dropped the bat. Look at around 7:10
Closer to 7:20
MLBPlays17 ya know, you are right.
other thing is, rule book says attempt at the ball
Alyn Warrington □★¤《☆{□●~◆★■{☆☆{09[★>■★☆}☆☆★¤■☆◇◇ hello hello hello blah blah Rock I hate you umpires can do whatever they want
I would like to mention that when Peralta was ejected for a substance, Joe Madden (Rays manager) decided at the bottom of the 9th, down 5-4, asked the umpire to check the pitchers glove. He was booed right after.

6/9/99- TOR@NYM- Valentine
I like your video
Good vid bro
What's the point of the managers coming bout and yelling at the ump? They're just gonna be thrown out
True. They never accomplish anything
+John Zimmerman they don't know that they just do it in the heat of it
Caiti Hemmings to show their players they have their back.
Tf happens in the Milwaukee Toronto disagreement?
@ 9:37 this is a catcher's balk. The catcher came out of his position to catch the pitch before the pitcher released the ball.
100%
Peralta was so chilled and he didn’t care. But he did get ejected for no reason just because there is something wrong with his glove.
2:00 Dancing like a chicken.
what's the intro music from?
Pumped up kicks by foster the people. I don't do anymore intros though
+MLBPlays17 thanks!
Hello my best friend
1:12 copy cat!!! Lol
that was ball 5 on Lawrie. only called because of the show up on ball 4 unprofessional umpiring. Lawrie's shouldn't have slammed helmet like that but he totally justified to be mad. ump cost Toronto the game.
What was in his glove?
Pine tar and he was suspended 8 games
That Lowrie ejection was straight up bullshit
Prove it bitch
At 1:30, the fans behind Gardner are so bad, they are GBG
Anyone else notice the worse the strike 3 call is the faster they'll eject the batter?lol if it's actually a strike umps laugh it off but a called strike 3 in the dirt its like "are you serious"? "You're outta here"!

I like how 23 always needs to be in view of the camera. LoL nice boys! 666
That happens to me too
That was a ball
Lawrie did get screwed on those pitches
People know that an inch off the plate is an acceptable call as well? Some of these are cutting hairs. 95 miles an hour and humans are supposed to be able to judge the difference between the plate and 2 inches off? Not easy.
Anybody else see the guy at 5:20 on the right
Of all the money these players make playing a kids game and throw a fit like a baby should be thrown out of the game for life.
Mad or not
MLB umps have WAY too much power
Even though your opinion is SHIT, I respect it
5:21 he was hitting his cup
hello friends you
All the other kids
2:01 WTF
Greg Gibson has got to b the worst umpire ever. A disgrace to the game of baseball
6:49 -- A clear show of deliberate provocation by that jagoff umpire on Brett Lawrie.
: D
Brett Gardener takes roids. Just sayin.

6:54 And Lawrie threw him out.
Brett gardner is a crybaby
Without Umpires, MLB games would be like watching poo piles decompose ... sooo boring !!
Michael Galle video reviews and commentators/baseball analysts are way way better in my opinion than unionized human umpires/referees pro sports no longer needs human logically error in any of the major pro sporting events or in pro sports organizations
what is the song in beginning of the video?
Nice intro
That was a ball
