Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!
Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."
The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."
Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."
Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."

Gotta respect the fact that Brotha Lynch Hung was able to amass a sizable fan base on his own terms with no support from radio or video outlets. REAL UNDERGROUND SH*T!
Yes he opened the door for ppl like Tech 9yne, Calhoun, etc
Worldwide too! This man’s music is played all over the world.
Psychopathic records artists since the early 90's has done the same thing...
@@Zero-0-Cypher Same thing? Na bro first off. Psychopathic records is trash. 2nd off BLH been on this shit since the EARLY 80s cuz. 3rd ain't NOBODY doing the "same thing" as him. Except for maybe his inner circle.
He still doesn’t get the money he deserves
His flow on Season of the Siccness is some of the greatest flow in hip hop history.
Agreed, Mac Fleetwood. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
💯
Straight bumper to bumper 12 gauge pumpin and was that little X loccster!
One of the best underground Horrocore/Gangsta rappers EVER. LEGEND LYNCH
You said it, Prof3ssor ***. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Facts. He was way ahead of his times.
One of the best _rappers_ ever, period!
If It wasn't for his subject matter, he'd be known by everyone as one of the all-time GOATs.
"Refuse to lose " is a unheard classic on the legal dope compilation album
The HARDEST lynch song possibly the hardest song ever period! The flow is mine blowing beat is a master piece
I first heard that 24 Deep back in 92 and been a fan every since. But that Season of the Siccness sealed the deal!!!!!!
Facts that’s a classic right there
Two incredible projects, D SHEP ATX ORIGINAL. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Agreed, Hollow Vegeta. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Definitely, Godscience7. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
Most gangsta rap artists back in the 90s after dropping a crazy good debut would drop the ball on the 2nd album, look at Tha Doggfather and Dr.Dre presents The Aftermath!
But Lynch with 24 Deep then Seasons was insane yo.
So many artists can't do that if their life depended on it!
Saw him in Tempe, AZ over 10 yrs ago. Shook his hand and told him his music was part of my childhood soundtrack. I still bump him in my forties lol. Legend
Me too Fam he’s way chill
A good person
Same, Az, my mid teenage years first heard him mid 90's, met him while working with local Phoenix underground artists in 2006,still bumpin.
Great interview. Glad to see Lynch doing well. Absolute legend!
Brotha lynch hung my favorite rapper alive
We hear you, D.N.A DatNiccAleXXX. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.

Thx
That's a great one, cwm662. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
Same here. And no joke. On repeat ALL DAY!!! The way he flipped that More Bounce and then how he came in on the mic, “ Imma let it be known…💥💥💥💥”

Nice to have Lynch on here! Such an underrated dope artist!
We're glad you enjoyed it, Rick Eklund. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Long live BLH thank you so much for this 1 🎉🎉🎉🎉
What Lynch and Phonk Beta did is unmatched, I wasn't surprised to learn about his interests in film later on, that Sacramento sound was cinematic. I think Lynch's work should be mentioned any time someone talks about how raw or dark Mobb Deep's The Infamous is. Those twisted pitch bent basslines were so far ahead of their time, dude is truly an artist.
It is unmatched indeed, Thirteen Twelve. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
He's My Fav Rapper Brotha Lynch Hung
Hell yeah, great to hear you break down the 24 Deep record. Once I heard that record I was instantly a Brotha Lynch fan. Used to cruise to that whole tape in my ride back in the day! So excited to see the rest of this interview.
Thx bro
@@brothalynchhung24 oh man, thanx for replying! Love ur music, looking forward to ur new stuff on BMG. Hope u have some X-Raided features comin, yall are the sickest spitters!! Grrrr!

We hear you, Philip Yomtov. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
All three of those are great, The Big Monsta Andy. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
This man was so ahead of his time rapping about purple kush in 1995 on season of siccness. IN 1995!
For sure, BMarsh BOXING. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
Well of course California has the best weed, so that's not really too big of a surprise.
They were up on the marijuana like New York was up on the fashion.
@@C-Lyfe85 that's not the point! The point is NOBODY was rapping about purple kush til the mid 2000s. Lynch was talking about it in 1995. That's the Point!! Not if Cali has the best weed. That's obvious. We know this already!
@@bmarsh333
That is the point!!!
What's with you people & these excessive exclamation marks?
California had a head start, when it came to marijuana.
They have access to the the best weed, in the country.
Just like at one point, New York had access to the best designer clothes, in the country.
They had a leg up on the rest of the country.
Is nothing to argue about, it's nothing to be upset about.
Don't go mental on me.
I met Lynch at his show in Pine Bluff Arkansas . Doing the Dead Man Dance . I got his song Fire in my music rotation also
Nice, Dion Khnum. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.

It's a great one for sure, ThaM3xican03. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Hands down one of your best interviews..Love it.
First off great interview! Love to see Brotha Lynch open up about some of the behind the scene stuff, it's been a while since his ghetto celebrities interview. A lot of the quiet creative types in this world never get a chance to tell their story. It's good to see him still kicking it! One of the best to ever do it underground AND mainstream. I always thought Lynch brings the best outta people whenever he's on a track with them.
"fuck peace, hoes, and flat tops"
So many quotables from every album and the smoothest use of "mutha-fucka" too. 😁
Lynch! Sacramento Living Legend! Soren Baker great interview 👍🏿 👏🏿 👌🏿 🙌🏿
We're glad you enjoyed the interview, Rapp Derty. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Well coming from Oak Park Sacramento. We appreciate how you didn't mention our Hood. And that lose ho gaine a ho song. But you mentioned every other Hood. We took it as a sign of respect.

Came from Paterson New Jersey moved out in Kansas City Missouri in 85 and a lot of the cats out there was talking about a lot of West Coast News said the dude named brother Lynch Hung so I checked them out been a fan ever since
Born an raised in KCMO an the fact that the city is the heart of America cuz we right in the middle an we get a mixture of music from East/West/South. We had a connection more so with the West Coast. Be dope to get music from CBO, Brotha Lynch, & X-Raided together.

Man you have the best interviews
Awesome, thank you
Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, Faded Group.
Soren Baker does a really good job interviewing people… he actually knows the music very well of the people he interviews… unlike Vlad who knows very little about the artist’s music he interviews and often times makes mistakes and just seems to ask people controversial questions trying to get people to incriminate themselves. Soren doesn’t do that… he just talks music and it’s cool that he knows his stuff!
We're glad you're enjoying the interviews, BigGamesJames. It's great having #SorenBaker on the team. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Great interview man.
