Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!
Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."
The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."
Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."
Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."

Man these are the best Lynch interviews I’ve ever seen. The caliber of questions and Lynch/Kevin being open and giving detailed responses. Love it!
Much appreciated, Got Lumpz 4U Paintball. We hope to get Lynch back for another interview soon. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I concur!!! 100%
Way better than the vlad one fasho
Brotha Lynch Hung 1 Of My Favorite Artists “92-2024”Long Time!
For sure, @danielsisneros5923. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Brotha lynch Hung and a Lord Infamous collaboration would of been 🔥🔥🔥
For sure, Mr.lokee. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
That would be CLASSICK. Lord is my favorite from 3-6, R.I.P.
@Unique Access Ent. 100 Your channel is 🔥
@VECT. Real talk Lord infamous was my favorite too. R.I.P Lord
That's an insane thought! RIP to the great Infamous
I went to a BLH and Mr Doctor show in Marysville CA in like 95 or 96 or something. That concert was so hood lol. Ended up working with him some odd years later in Redding with Tech & Andre Nickatina and what he said was right about his audience. Being on Strange definitely reached New fans for him and got his music to a wider audience. In my experience meeting Lynch he's always been real cool and down to earth. This is the first interview I seen of him that was really well done. Nice job!
Bruh, a Lynch and 3 6 mafia track would've been dope. Lynch should hook up a with Rob Zombie for a real horror movie. I can definitely see him doin'a "devil's rejects" type of film.
Rob zombie is a piece of shit .. he doesn't deserve a collab with a legend like BLH
Xcallibur from EBK4 is a lyrical masterpiece and clearly wasn't really even done yet
That's wild when you think about tit, Aaron V. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I agree top notch off that project
bruh😤😤
That's my favorite lynch song. Hard to imagine how much better it could considering how great it is already.
@@savagek29 bruh that lynch was beyond different...🔥🔥🔥
as hyped as i am for season 2 ,its also a risk , ...huge shoes to fill .
I truly miss the old days of the classic 91-Siccness message boards from 1999 to 2008.
Great times, for sure, Dean : RUTHLESS RECORDS. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Fuck siccness.
RIP to Infamous. Three 6 and Lynch both completely changed my life especially from 98 to 01, and to this day. The feeling I get from popping Loaded in, or an old Project Pat record. There's nothing like it. Life changing music. Thank you so much for this amazing interview!
Brotha lynch- Season of tha Siccness
Three 6 Mafia - Mystic Styles, were my favorite in 94-95 Great Memories
how lol? like we regularly bumped all this shit cuz we was in the streets, the music went with the baccdrop. Life changing? We do that by acting like and being a man.
Yes
Back in 1995 I was 13 years old I'm half Mexican half White my cousin is Mexican and my sister's boyfriend was Mexican and we used to bump season of The sickness when it came out what I'm saying is you had a Mexican fan base we used to bump your s*** on McHenry back in the days in Modesto when cruising was allowed nothing but lowriders
Great memories, Teddy Ontiveroz. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
A lot of us bumped it on Mchenry back in the day. Parked in the Car Audio businesses like Car Audio Depot or Sound Choice or Audio pros. I remember turn around spot was Bowen and on the other end we would flip around by Taco bell at Kerinen. :) I live in Turlock now but grew up in Modesto.
@@2siccaudio yeah I remember that I overheard they're trying to bring cruising back on the weekends one thing I remember too is like when cruising was over there would be lowriders at every fast food restaurant even for an example all the way to hatch road nothing but lowriders lined up trying to eat
Blocc movement was and is still a dope ass album. Cbo and lynch had great chemistry and out out bangers.
You can’t say they had great chemistry if they didn’t actually work together
@@Zonedout420 yea that’s true but the music was well put together is what I really meant to say but a great album nonetheless.
@@itsascaryworld9788 big Lynch and C-Bo fan but I wouldn’t call it great decent is more like it but that’s just my opinion
Copy and paste album...they've never worked in the studio together ever
It was dope indeed, CJB. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Lynch I don't know what the fucc you was thinking. Manne we need that Brotha Lynch & D.J Paul Collab.
That would be incredible, Triple Sicc. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
He is not lying I DJd for him and he’s does come out to welcome to my world first…
It's definitely a great song, DeeJay Dos Muchoz. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
One of his best verses imo.
You deserve waaaay more credit than you give yourself @BrothaLynchHung but I understand because I myself has done the same. But your musicc is classic you're a legend off top. 💯 Much love.
#BrothaLynchHung
I wish I were a multimillionaire, I’d give Lynch all the money in in the world, record what you want and direct what you want
That would be incredible, @AnthonyJK1982. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I pray for the day, a True GBC album with the heavy hitters collaborating Lynch, CBO, XRaided, Marvaless, T Nutty, Lunasicc aka Corleone and just rep Sac ☢️
But on the intro of bloccmovent they say cbos locced up he got violoated on parole, n then homie says we got a gang of shit recorded got a bag full of d88 lets get this shit craccin so me n my homies as fans knew they werent together in studio but its a classic n i believe bloccmovent , xorcist , unforgiven were classics n idk if its cus we knew they parts were recorded in prison made them must buys as madesicc fan but the MUSIC ON THE WERE A 100 DOPE FROM TRACC TO TRACC ESSPECIALLY XORCIST N UNFORGIVEN OH NAFIORIOUS N SPEAK OF THE DEVIL
The best lynch interview you have been asking questions the fans wanna hear 👏👏👏
Glad to hear it, Daniel Lopez. We hope Lynch is down to come back soon. #SorenBaker has a lot more he wants to ask him. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
He seriously needs to make a new album and bring some season of da Sicc and loaded vibes back with new types of beats. Those two albums made an insanely huge impact in rap as they are 1 of a kind and unique as hell. Him and esham colab would be dope.
He had an announcement on twitter a year or two back not long after X got out that he's working on seasons 2
I remember goin' to the mom & pop shop to cop "Now Eat" on VHS. I misplaced the case but I still got the VHS tape. The freestyle session scene @ the house party is priceless...
Definitely, @poppawheelie3487. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
"Spices make the skin burn"
That was one of my dream Hook ups Lynch & 3-6 mafia 👿 would have been the sickest imagine Lynch & Lord infamous omg
Indeed, Brotha Blade. It would have been incredible. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Should have asked Lynch about the rumors that he was supposed to sign with Master P. I think Lynch addressed that before or about the rumor that Dr. Dre was trying to buy Blackmarket name for his record label before he started Aftermath. I think Lynch was the one that said that.
Love to c him doing a song with eminem fr and bone thugs
There are not a lot of BLH interviews out there, and its pretty dope how you know a lot about his music.
Appreciate it, Tax Free. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I’m glad he acknowledged how the strange albums sounded like strange music rather than lynch. I remember thinking that when they were coming out. He’s been my favorite since 96 or 97. Me personally couldn’t even hardly listen to those albums. I’m not a tech or strange fan at all.
Interesting, @sugeknight134. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Don't Stop on blocc movement #19 on the cd if you know you know that song was on everybody Playlist when that dropped
For sure, Ehunt. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
This interview allows us to get to know Lynch on a more personal note. I also appreciate it because it gives us insight on some rap history. Even Answers some questions we didn't think to ask. Salute for this one!
So underrated, but sounds like it was sort of by design. Lynch stayed tru to his roots and kept in underground rather than goin hollywood to chase the scrilla. He stays in my top 5 regardless of genres 💯
We hear you, Brake Davis. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Brotha Lynch is also the only artist to have Travis on an album
Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, Zonedout420.
This White boy been bumping LYNCH sense 92 Tucson AZ
Am I trippin, or does Lynch seem like a sweetheart. Nothin wrong with that, but the lyrics just don't match the guy in this video.🤔
We hear you, @alanbrown5907. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾Damnn Cedric!!!
Thats why I’m glad #Lynch doing his own thing now!!!! In control. Shout out Lynch! Much love ❤️ and much respect!!!!
“Made Sicc” grrr grrr!!!
Definitely appreciate Travis for signing Lynch. And taking care of him. After black market did what they did to him it felt like a breath of fresh air, to have a label that had his best interest in mind. Not being a fake snake 🐍. It felt like a big blow after hearing what Black market did with those beautiful baby’s that Lynch birthed in that era. Shout out to #techn9ne
Season of the sickness 2 let’s get ittt!!!!
It’s going to be dope.
My mans predicted COVID on the Virus album
Im surprised to hear him say that, because some of my favorite lynch tracks are on blocc movement.
It definitely has some great tracks, @ansari8225. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
You are the best lynch. top 5 for sure

One thing about SM is when they sign elite Vets, the vets gain new and old fans of SM
Virus was hard fr
Agreed, Dmoney Ali. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Damn and that virus album went hard asf
In his songs he sounds gangsta but in real life he sounds hella square I bet his wife is white no offense!!!
Dammmmnn The Legendary Traxster is Twista & Do or Die’s go to producer. Can you imagine Lynch on a Traxster beat with Twista!! 🤯
That would be magical, @willgoughnour8870. Did you hear Tech N9ne's "My World" that Traxster produced & that features Lynch? #SorenBaker actually sold that beat to Tech N9ne. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I didn’t know til I watched the interview. I always wanted those two to hit a track together. Than hearing that Selecto Hits was based out of Memphis and the possibility that Lynch could’ve hopped on a 3-6 track..
These were things that not just myself but much of Lynch’s fanbase have always wanted and talked about. To think just how close he actually was blow my mind.
Great interview!
I liked the virus album tho stillllll. Fire album....am on the high speed. With a head and a weave and bout 3 gs.lookin thru the rearview gedda clearview then am gone...jeeeeeez sick tune
I was stoked when block movement dropped!!!! Sac Towns finest!!!
Anybody still got there Strange music X BLH jersey?
Mind-blowing learning all this shit 🤯
For sure, @bigvinstyle. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
So what's lynchs actual discography? Lynch, Bo and X collab album would be sick!
Can we please get a brotha lynch and eminem
That would be wild, Alfred Holmes. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
What about brotha lynch eminem tek ni9e and cbo collaborating
Tech wanted Em on Welcome to my world but Proof had just died & Em wasn't recording. He said that was the intent tho but instead went with dalima with lynch
That virus was dope as fuck
Brotha lynch was horrocore but like he didn't really say stuff about the devil and stuff
You completely bypassed the Master P era
Been a fan of Lynch since 98. My favorite era of him is from N****/24 Deep the Plague with Doomsday, but i do like his newer stuff as well.
He's got so much great material, @D00MTR33. His new LP is coming soon, too. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
The Watcher on Blocc Movement was insanity 🤯🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
This how you do an Interview salute dog all your interviews dope man
This guy interviewing succs…. Why is he all confused? Seems like he’s doubting everything Lynch is saying
lynch and 36 back then would of been so dope!
Yeah they could have made a much harder album if they actually recorded it together
I'm curious if you can find out this answer: How many copies of The Gas Station Mixtape are in circulation? The original gas station, not part 2
Not alot have my original in the safe with many other out of print low press gangsta rap classics mostly all from the 90s.
I have two myself. One is signed. I feel like only a few thousand must have been sold during it's limited time of availability. It's been a question I haven't been able to seem to find the answer to.
Good question, Nick Valenzuela. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.

He's incredible, @VictorCamberos-xf1ve. We're excited that he's got new music coming soon. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
And thank you Soren… I’ve been revisiting these interviews after watching the Dave Weiner interview a few weeks ago.
I remember being such a HARD CORE Lynch Hung & Siccmade Family fan. I bought EVERY CD they released from COS’s “Siccmade Rituals” double album that’s highly slept on to ZAGG’s few solo joints to LOKI’s few solo joints. The Lynch & Tall Cann UTHANIZIM project.
As a fan, I HATED THE BEATS from all 3 Strange Albums Lynch did. I completely agree with his take on the beats. Strange Music HAS THE WORST PRODUCTION AND MUSIC IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. They are nothing that could fit Lynch’s Delivery & Flow.
Also, unfortunately X-Raided just released an Strange Music album. The beats are just plain terrible.
I fortunately got to see Brotha Lynch Hung on the outskirts of St. Louis at this old tiny intimate club called Mad Magician in 2013 or 2014.
It was great because I was 6 feet away from him the entire time. Met some cool old school Lynch fans that I knew had to exist in St. Louis!!! There were probably 75 people there by the end of the show. I got to chop it up and give thanks to Lynch for all the music he gave us fans for all these years! I also remember all of us were pretty drunk by the end of the night! Haha. Good times. I also ran into a few of my old friends from the 91Siccness Message Boards at the concert too.
I also think C-Lim was there and opened up the show with a few tracks.
I unfortunately left my cell phone and cigarettes in my ride and security would not let me walk 25 feet from the front door to my car to get them. If I left, I was told I wouldn’t be allowed back in. Dumbest $hit ever. I’m glad that club closed years ago.
But I did get to see Three 6 Mafia aka Da Mafia 6ix, Lynch Hung, & Bizzy Bone and All Bone Thugs up close and personal due to how tiny this place was. I don’t know how they made their money back from booking these giant acts in such a tiny club/bar. I swear the stage was about 2 feet off the ground and only 25 feet wide. Every show felt like I was standing in my living room watching these amazing people perform.
My beef with lynch is the difference in sound between his label backed albums and his independent (madesicc and siccmade) albums. His major label albums are far superior to his independent albums. 24 deep through loaded, then the Strange trilogy are his best albums. I won’t even listen to the other ones, including Lynch by Inch. And before y’all come for my head, I have lynch in my top 5 LYRICIST ALL TIME.
Legend
For sure, @Deezy26925. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.

You can definitely feel the “awkwardness” listening to “Blocc Movement”. I remember in 2001 buying that CD the Tuesday it dropped at Blockbuster Music.
It’s definitely a banger and has many classic tracks from Lynch.
I never was a huge C-Bo fan but the production on that album sonically was far superior than anything Lynch released before.
Such a good interview. I love this side of Lynch. He's so candid. Now eat!!!!
Much appreciated, @DirkDiggler1620. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.

Indeed, Dion Khnum. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
Lynch made it a point to say that Madesicc was his label and he left Siccmade to do that…..I thought Siccmade was his label or was that name owned by BM?……For some reason I thought he left BM and started Siccmade….I guess not.
While most teens my age that were into hip-hop with east and west preferences were reppin pack n big or master p I had dubbed cassette tapes and then CDs into copies of season of the sickness as my witeboy passport into the world of sick MC's plus I felt like I had a full proof foundation and a fucking beautifully inorder from top spitter and best all around lyricist let's just say the household name brand ones that you know to date are not on my list you're only going to find most likely underground or unheard of spinners in that sense as far as popularity and same goes that doesn't mean shit. What's your catalog look like? Meaning your preferences of music because if I had all that data actually store somewhere it would be profoundly huge to wear almost endless from all sides of the music Spectrum except for the obvious country and shit like that. Three is ready enough I actually have some country too but very very slim but I was a white boy that showed up at the party with brother Lynch and I'm extremely extremely grateful for that experience because I always let that party like and that white boy knows his shit. Because in the 90's nobody was fucking close to being in the same universe no one was fucking with him. Ask tech he'll agree Lynch is a rappers rapper. All the famous mainstream artists listen to Lynch before the do a show. He's a staple in the house of gangster rap. And yeees I'm going there. I.c.p wouldn't have the clout they have if it wasn't for trend setters game changers and pure gift of raw uncutt sickness. Kevin Mann if you read this I want you to know that's absolutely impossible impossible for you Kevin Mann brother Lynch Hung to give me a VIP pass next time change comes through St Louis mo. Home to Stevie stone. Did everybody knows you just don't have that type of power man it's cool we understand it's no big deal but people do want to know why can't brother Lynch send out one VIP pass to one fan he doesn't even have that kind of pool I'm just saying people are talking s*** about you bro cuz they say you can't do it but I tell him to leave you alone man you're a well collective artist and he ain't got time for a little b******* like this so I got your back bro but you still can't do it 👻👿💯💥💨
Great in depth interview, and cool to have Brotha Lynch speaking so candidly and expansive!! When he mentioned wishing the beats from his Strange Trilogy were more suited to him it got me thinking about who could really craft a cohesive album soundscape for him and the name that keeps popping in my head is Erotic D, a full length with Traxter behind the boards would be crazy too.
Brotha Lynch Hung is my favorite rapper along with Snoop Dogg, Redman and Scarface I still listen to there music on the regular
I think Brotha’ Lynch and Gangsta’ Nip would’ve been a nice collaboration - just me!
If there’s any lord infamous and Koopsta verses or unreleased songs in the vault Paul should get with Lynch and let him do something with it.
That would be super hard.
Brotha, I loved the trilogy!! I thought the beats were fire!! Can't wait to hear your next album!! Maybe another album, with C-Bo?? Tech-9, or collaboration with Em??
Tupac did a three album deal w Death Row. All Eyez On Me count as two albums and then Makaveli.

@@UniqueAccessEnt always, I love what you're doing. U get the underground rappers that Meant The most to the streets. Mainstream artists from back then till now I don't take away anything they ever did but let's keep it real, flowers go to the underground rappers cuz they saw success without major pushes.
That would be like u vs a NASCAR driver, he got his NASCAR and u got a muscle car from the dealership.. yes you'll get lapped like a mfa but u held your own without any sponsors and very little pit crew if any vs huge Brand, huge sponsors and etc. If course they're gonna win.. but could those same rapper see same amount of success without major backing? Not all would.. I say about 5% would still see success, if that. All credit goes to the underground rappers and u be getting the best ones rs.. try getting other legends too like marvelous, Killa Tay, pizzo ( he jus dropped a album too) luni coelone, mac mall, b legit, Young droop, triple beam, loki ( Lynch artist) and for a out of stater ima run with coo coo cal out of Milwaukee, wi.. ( in my projects) but I got the underground album before that album came out with in my projects.. songs like " grim reaper"
" Penny for your thoughts"
" Ride til we die feat twista" that whole album bangs front to back rs.
Jus to name a few rappers that definitely earned more shine.
Theirs plenty of more but that's jus the first ones that come to mind off top..
Yea that’s underrated for sure one of the best with Loaded
