- Live shot of A Rested Body is A Rested Mind from The Wiz performed by Ann Duquesnay in 1984. This song is not often heard and has been cut from most modern revivals of the show. But for the fans who love it please enjoy! Please Like and Share!

I wish I could have seen this in person! It looks like an excellent production. ❤️👋🏾❤️❤️❤️💯👍🏾
A forgotten favorite
The voluminous wigotry of it all.
😂😂😂
My favorite song… and Ms Ann sings it SPLENDIDLY! Her intonation instantly calls up imagery of warm summer evenings… totally effervescent. She is beautiful as Glinda!
I want to see this full production soooooo bad ... Like I want to be sitting in the best seats in teh house the way I'm Obsessed with these clips 💘💘💘
WOW! I want to go back in time to see this
Loved this song when it was in the play. A very sexy entrance to introduce Glinda.
I LOVE IT ❤
this is incredible thank you
More wiz please?
Does anyone know if Ms. Duquesnay is still performing?. I remember her from Bring in the Noise Bring in the Funk and Jelly's Last Jam. She has an amazing, powerful voice. I keep hoping to see her in another show someday.
Yes she is. I know for sure last year she performed an event but I don’t know what the lady is up to currently
Ms Duquesnay has taken a hiatus-
Her singing this song is mesmerizing... tiktoker G.A.TURKS
Damn, what a voice! This is one of the songs that unfortunately ALWAYS seems to get cut from more contemporary productions. That being said, would someone please explain the watermelon motif to me? Is it meant to be a more satirical style, or a re-claiming of the imagery?
A re-claiming of the imagery by the director Geoffrey Holder.
I love this song ! If you have the performance from the Original Broadway Run ( 1975 - 1979 ) , please share it! I know its rare but I'll love to see it since I adore this production so much.
They always cut this as well as “who do you think yoi are”
Tony I would like to see them return to future productions
Would love to Stephanie Mills
singing home - my favourite song from The Wiz
need to see no bad news from this!!
Soon…please be patient…
Do you have the full play???
She's so busy screaming that you can't understand what she's saying in the beginning!
