the thumb photo was of the eponymous, but far from beggarly, 'banquet' shot in a sumptuously panelled room at Sarum Chase in Hampstead, London, an Arts & Crafts house described by Pevsner as 'pure Hollywood Tudor. The music wasn’t recorded there - it was recorded at Olympic studio, London; Sunset Sound, Los Angeles between 17 March - 25 July 1968 and released on dec 6th, 1968
