I was taught to hunt wild mushrooms 2 years ago and to find them you have to learn about trees, as there is a symbiosis between mushrooms and trees. So then my life changed. Trees became part of what I see , it is the simplicity of our world that holds the deepest mystique
There are ASMRtists I listen to to relax, or for a storyline, or for tingles. But if I absolutely need to fall asleep no one beats this channel. I do not think I've ever made it more than ten minutes into a video, which is a shame because they all seem super interesting.
I deal with a life-long sleep disorder. There are days I can’t seem to wake up and others where NOTHING will help me sleep, including the medicine I take nightly. My husband generously says if I need to sleep I should and the days I don’t sleep I might keep quiet while I’m awake and he’s sleeping. It’s a fair request! Last night I listened to the entire Stonehenge story and tuned into an other story after the first story ended and I was still awake. No, I didn’t sleep, but I sure learned a lot! I’ve tried a number of other programs over the years and the French Whisperer has that magic formula that works for me when I need it to.! I use a nice set of headphones that give me exactly the benefits I need from them. Then the Whisperer’s voice and his impeccable research and flawless storytelling is just the winning combination that works for me! I am the lucky one!

I’ve been walking in what I’ve named the Enchanted Forest every day for the past 3 weeks. Peace, beauty, birdsong, butterflies, enormous drunk bumble-bees, starflowers, an abundance of beautiful scented blossoms bursting forth, carpets of bluebells sprouting up every day .... as soon as I step into it’s magical atmosphere the outside world ceases to exist. It’s like melting into another world and happily losing hours and myself in it. Nature truly is the greatest gift and I feel blessed to be able to visit such graceful wonder and sit in stillness, especially in this awful climate. They are not quite as tall as the Coastal Redwood, but they are the largest trees in the world by volume, and certain trees are estimated to be almost 3500 years old.
