- Hi there, let's travel back in time to the beginning of the 1960s and look at the fashions and recipes that were trending. At the beginning of the year back then, as it is now, weight loss is a theme to lure readers in! There are several plastic flower arrangement ideas as these were a very big trend at the time with over half of US flower shops selling plastic flower arrangements. They had become widely available and affordable!
This magazine harbored a deep, dark secret for 63 years. Someone decided to leave their mark so to speak with an ink pen and did a little defacing of some of the pages. I found it funny and I hope you do too.

What happened to Family Circle?
They stopped publishing in 2019. They had a good run though, having started in 1932. Probably low sales. It seems like the staff were able to transition to other publications.
