I always had the image of interior design to be shallow, or another pointless commodity for the middle-ckass to waste their money into. Knowing that a job like yours exists completely changes my perspective. I hope it exists in Europe.

You can really tell how passionate Maria is about design (mainly interior design) and I really hope that in the future she can pursue a career in design! I know ASMR will always be around, but she's given us so much. She deserves whatever she wants in life at this point.

Anyone notice the lighting in this video. Notice how professional its looks just like the photos. That's no accident nor is it from some new flashy camera. This is a professional lighting technique that has been used in many famous magazines and Hollywood movies.
As a tacky maximalist, a lot of this advice does nothing for me aesthetically, but that can't stop me from vibing 😌💕by the end of the video I'll be a beige-loving minimalist for sure
Beige is such an awful colour. Why do minimalists love it so much. Like I like the concept of less is more but the aesthetic is so unbelievably uninspiring. If I wanted to sit in a visually cold and unappealing space I would go to the mall or a bus station 😬
@@piecesofstarlight I've always thought that it's not about the beige, it's about what you put with the beige. It's a neutral color so it's not meant to stand on its own, it's supposed to be "invisible" so you can put other colors around it and they stand out more. Like tofu, it's bland because it's flavored by the other things in the dish!
A room full of neutral colors and nothing else though? Nah, boring.
I would love a video on face massages to relieve the stress and tension we hold in our faces. I do them before I sleep and they are so relaxing! You could talk about pressure points with oil and lotion sounds!! ❤️

The magazine flipping is wonderful and so tingly, and I’d love to hear your design tips for venues and such, and I love your prom dress fitting video so I know you’d be incredible at discussing flattering fits and details on wedding dresses!

What the hell! Did Maria do a whole Master's degree on Interior design overnight or have I missed something? I have seen the other videos she made on the same topic but I'm always shook to see how much research she does and how articulate she is on the subject. The level of work she puts in making this content is incredible.
Not gonna lie, the pointing is a huge trigger for me. Not necessarily TRACING, per se, but just using your finger to point at something while you explain and talk about it. I freaking love that. I remember years ago Maria said that if you aren’t experiencing tingles anymore, take a few weeks off from listening to ASMR. I did that and I swear listening to this video gave me SO MANY TINGLES. Yay!

This wonderful woman calmed me through two open heart surgery's. During my last recovery in the hospital i couldn't only sleep for 5 to 15 minutes at a time by day 2 i was begging for someone to bring me headphones. And good friend came through dropped them off hours later, And once every one left and i was in my room alone and scared in in tremendous pain i came right to her channel And moment i heard Maria's voice i teared up, smiling, i felt so comfortable and safe?!?.
Slept nearly 4hrs that night!

There’s a channel I watch called The Minimal Mom and she talks about how having less things feels relaxing because all of the things call out to us! They end up being more “inventory” that we have to manage and clean and keep up with and that subconsciously makes us more stressed. So sometimes, less really is better for you!
I always love the page flipping with finger tracing and soft spoken overlay, especially when there's counting. But then again, who doesn't love folding, the lint roller and role plays too? What a nice job you do, Maria. :-) And I don't think you were overly critical at all. We all have our individual preferences for how we like spaces to look and how we like to live in those spaces. To be honest, I'm just excited to VISIT another person's house in 2021! The friendliness of the host, the cleanliness of their space and their desire to make a houseguest comfortable makes up for all the old furniture and off-trend design in the world.

Love all the home decor videos particularly the kitchen/floor & window treatment ones from last year. This is going to be another classic.
I want to listen to this all day, every day 😍😌 I will say that the “art” chairs and wicker definitely never truly go out of style. My grandmother has her home full of furniture like those and has since my mom was little (probably 40 years) and her house NEVER looks dated! Especially with white/cream! The only thing is that I think it’s difficult to keep it YOUNG vs OLD 🤣
