Very envious for these promo cd... Some day I might invest in getting them as I just love the artwork (especially of the first two). There are at least 3 different versions of these ones, the one with jewel case, and various versions of the cdr ones
Its a great album I went to the tour it was amazing. I wish on the album though that they should have separated Satellite 15 from The Final Frontier track.
I don't own any of these so I might be wrong. I thought the first one was the only official promo CD and came in a 7" size sleeve. It can be hard as a collector to resist these. I understand guys buying bootlegs but as collectors we should avoid buying the fake counterfeits. If no one buys them they won't make them and we can't get ripped off. Saying that, I bought a fake SH Tapes in the late '80s but knew it was fake because it was on yellow vinyl and recently bought a fake Japanese style DoD CD LP, both were cheap as chips but got them for the novelty aspect. No more fakes for me, hopefully. I commented on your Running Free vid. It's either stuck in a queue or will never arrive. Either way, Google's comment system is poo. Hope this comment arrives as I don't want to type it out again lol.
@@slobsky7237 haha yeah, the comments engine on UA-cam is a bit crap! They definitely released multiple promo singles from the album. I generally defer to Discogs in terms of what is official and what isn't - the community in there is good at policing the entries. You can disappear down a very deep rabbit hole in terms of identifying genuine vs fake items - that's the reason why I have never attempted to buy the Soundhouse Tapes, just too stressful especially when purchasing remotely!
@@CollectingIronMaiden Good thinking Batman. My local shop bought a fake SHTs 20 years ago, I daren't ask him how much he paid lol. We all use Discogs which is a fantastic site when the info is correct but it's a minefield at times. How does the policing work there? a vote system?
@@CollectingIronMaiden Cool, one day something is genuine the next day it's fake and vice versa. Who has the final say in what is a fake or not? It's probably where I messed up. Them CD-Rs were uploaded as fake when I first looked or I automatically assumed them to be fake lol. I've only got 3 promos in my collection but the price always puts me off.
@slobsky7237 yes they are $$$ for what you get. The only reason that I went for these ones is the lack of proper releases. They are the only promos in my collection.

@@jasongnrfan7374 I completely agree, the intro is very long and should have been a separate track.

@slobsky7237 an avalanche of comments arrive when a fake / fake looking entry is added. Not scientific but a indicator to be wary!
