HEy man commented on your last vid, I Finally picked up my 2000 red sabre. she needs some cosmetic tlc but i'll get her to what i need to be. Really loving these tips. THanks for the mention about the kill switch short. It tripped on my on the freeway and gut the engine off at 40 Mph. Any tips on how i can get the rust off some of the bolts?
Congratulations on the bike man! Getting rust off bolts isn't too hard, it's getting it to stay off that can be the trick. The best way I've found is to soak them overnight in vinegar. Then after they're dry, I soak them in penetrating oil. But eventually it comes back if they get wet. If you can get to a home Depot, they'll have most of the bolts you need. Bring the old bolts in and search through their drawers. You'll be surprised. And they're usually reasonable. Be safe! Keep me updated on the new bike
