So glad to see Gleyber finding his power. Keep him at 2nd, it's where he performs best. Also, I'm ready for Tim Locastro to return. His speed and base running aggressiveness is an asset we need to win close games.
It's almost July and Judge has a 201 OPS+...Def one of the best seasons of all time if he ended up there. For comparison Bryce Harper's 2015 season was a 198 OPS+ and Trout's highest OPS+ was his 2018 season, also with a 198 OPS+. Legendary company.
Pretty good rankings though some of our lower-leverage relievers should probably be knocked down a rung. I hope Lasagna and Britton can come back and be effective, I'm not at all hopeful that Chapman will be any good upon his return.
I’m not ready to give up on Gallo yet. The hitting coaches need to let him go back to his normal ways like he was doing in Texas. Let the man swing the bat, even if the ball is out of the zone. The man is a beast and needs to be unleashed. I think the second they stop trying to get him to draw more walks, the better player he will be.
I think with expectations taking into consideration, I think Rizzo goes easily in good if not incredible. Like when you look at free agency time a few months back, Yankees fans were REALLY hoping to get Freeman, and when that deal fell apart, and we didn’t get Chapman, and we settled on resigning Rizzo, I think a lot of people weren’t like upset with the decision, but more in the “what could have been” mindset. And look at us now, Rizzo has been playing so insanely well
Greatest Yankee of All Time?.... Take it easy friend. That's an honor for the icons of the 1930,s to the 2000,s. Let's hope Aaron fits that title 7 yrs from today's list. ⚡
Idk about Rizzo being in the great category. I think he does great things for the team as a whole, but individually, the lack of consistency at the plate is a thing with him. The ceiling is higher for Rizzo and Torres that’s why I would put both of them in the good category. Telling them they’re doing great is a bit of an illusion, because if the team wasn’t winning like we are, judging by their stats, they wouldn’t be getting high praise. They are off the hook because of the elite pitching we’ve had all year. I also think IKF contributes far more than number indicate. His speed, and his glove are huge assets. I would put him in the good category as well as DJ in the great category given his versatility and consistency as a table setter. For that reason I’d also put Cole in the great category. We make such a fuss about his occasional bad outings that we’ve forgotten how shutdown he is on the regular. Besides the Boston opener and that Twins game, he’s been the pitcher we’ve hoped for this year. No need to penalize him for 2 bad games.
Everyone bashed Cashman, but everyone forget he built championship teams before. This is one of the best. The 2022 Yankees are the greatest sleeper team of all time. Cortes, Peralta, Holmes, Trevino, Luetge, Taillon, Severino. None of these guys had high expectations. They're all performing at an insane level. Severino will easily win comeback player of the year. Cortes will win the Cy Young, Holmes Reliever of the Year, and Judge MVP.
Hey, Dan. The only player I disagree with on your list is Gleyber. He's borderline good/great so far. Judge definitely deserved a category of his own though. He's been phenomenal so far. Keep up the awesome video content, and let's go Yankees!
Great video, Dan. My disagreements: Gleyber - should be on the good tier Rizzo - should be on the good tier Sears - should be on the neutral tier Also maybe the tier above incredible could be called “Team MVP category” but I’m not sweating that at all haha.
Rizzo is in the great tier even though he's batting like .219. His homers are top 6 and RBIs top 4 in the America League plus plays a gold glove caliber 1st base.
Glad you keep doing these. Perfect time of the year tbh for a good how’s the year going so far read/vibe on the players. Hicks legit needs to be rated as High school water boy tho.
Also, IKF has to go in not good. He’s hitting is matching his career stats, it isn’t on pace to get better. On the defensive side he has an insanely low OAA. I’d prefer squid tbh.
Great video love this, just an idea if you had a guest sometimes you could talk about these players with and have two different dialogues going. Keep it up!
Disagree on M Gonzalez. I think we should keep in mind his role and how little he plays. You can't expect a guy that barely plays to be hitting the cover off of the ball.
@@DylanPlaysonYT which is pretty crazy because 2 years ago this performance from him would have been well below expectations. And now it's well above expectations.
Everything good, except make Judge in the MVP category not 'Greatest Yankee of all-time', we ALL know it's Ruth, Gehrig, Dimaggio, Mantle, Jeter, Rivera. Gleybor, should be in the good category even though he's much better than last year for sure.
I still feel like this team hasn’t even touched their full potential yet. The teams success comes in batches, sometimes it’s the bullpen, sometimes it’s the starters, sometimes it’s the offense and defense. Imagine when all four of those things are on their shit together. Pure obliteration.
Odds are it’ll never really happen, but it’s a good sign that all 4 can play really well. It’s like asking for every player in the lineup to be hot at the same time. It just doesn’t work that way
This team is Loaded :)
I put rizzo in good
Where is Matt Carpenter he deserves to be on this list
He’s to good for this list
It wasn’t updated
Greatest Yankees of all time category
Agree! A sparkplug and a style icon!
It’s a greatest steal. I really like the trade for now. He is on fire after 10+ games with Yankees. Keep up the good work.
Good rizzo
I like what you said about marwin, 2017 astros can't be forgotten
I was at Sundays game it was electrifying in the stadium
Nicely DONE!
Excellent review and truly justified.
You are great! My father and I make it a point to watch together!
thats awesome Dennis thanks!
This is pretty cool. Thanks. No music at the end. Yes, Thanks again. And yes , Let’s Go Yankees. Very exciting year…so far.
Bro hair is fire 🔥
👊👊
Dan- “Ik some of y’all don’t like it wen I curse”
Also dan- “ I definitely fucked up”
“This is for the tried and true” 🥴
😂
I think you made the right call about Rizzo bro because I still think he's capable of having it least two really good years for us God bless bro
There should be an entirely new category for how good Judge has been.
He made one
Did no one in the comments watch the video lol
I miss these break downs.
So glad to see Gleyber finding his power. Keep him at 2nd, it's where he performs best.
Also, I'm ready for Tim Locastro to return. His speed and base running aggressiveness is an asset we need to win close games.
Chapman is a goat , he’ll be a huge part of our WS run
It's almost July and Judge has a 201 OPS+...Def one of the best seasons of all time if he ended up there. For comparison Bryce Harper's 2015 season was a 198 OPS+ and Trout's highest OPS+ was his 2018 season, also with a 198 OPS+. Legendary company.
Torres is great and getting greater. I think he is really back.
Great vid spot on
Thanks!
Gleyber would be just good for me approaching great just because hes clutch
Your mullet looks great, mine is more kinda modern mullet and I like it, but 80s hairstyles hit different.
idk id give IKF a bump up since he leads the team in steals and has been reliable as a baserunner
Should’ve named the judge tier “MVP”
Everyone on our team deserves to be in Good , great, incredible, or neutral ..
Cole must’ve been tipping his pitches in that Minnesota game. Cause Twins only got one hit after he was pulled.
Yankees on fire
Business in the front, party in the back
Would prefer if you started with everyone's tiers from last month, and then moved them as needed based on recent performance.
thats a good thought! Might do that for the next one
should've had a separate tier for judge
well shouldve watched the vid before i said this lmao
@@DylanPlaysonYT lmao, I made the same comment. Great minds think alike, right?
@@markzuckergecko621 yessir lmao
love the tier ranking videos!
I love making them!
Gleyber is a beast
As a fellow mullet wearer-yours is righteous brother
Great
Great stuff! Pretty accurate!
I hope we give judge the money he wants.
Hicks is getting better and does not deserve "awful."
IKF has gotten a lot of big hits
Your list is fairly solid. However I wouldn't hold Wandy Peralta in such lofty status. I do like your hair. It reminds me of the 'Flock of Seguls '.
I believe Stanton will tear it open in coming months. Several more incredible weeks and the playoffs will belong to him. Overdue. Must happen.
WOW!!! I was thinking about this exact video yesterday and you drop it, you're great, keep it doing it🔥
Thanks dude!!
Pretty good rankings though some of our lower-leverage relievers should probably be knocked down a rung. I hope Lasagna and Britton can come back and be effective, I'm not at all hopeful that Chapman will be any good upon his return.
be interesting to get a comparison to the previous months ranking
Stanton - Great
Rizzo - Neutral
Hicks - Rising!
Andujar?
I'd put King in the incredible category
yeah i can get behind that
7:53 lmao
LOL some random popup ad

rizzo should be in good category
If Aaron judge keeps this up he will break Barry Bonds record too
With no *supplements*
dan would be a good character in stranger things
LOL ive only watched season one
Not crazy that Torres is in the great section but I personally think he belongs in the good tier
It is not enough sample size on a player to judge him that he should go in the Not bad player
I think with expectations taking into consideration, I think Rizzo goes easily in good if not incredible. Rizzo had an awful may so hitting wise there he was bad
@@seanwall2846 he just hit a walk off homer
Bro over here looking like Tommy Morrison.
Good one

IKF has been exactly as advertised. What did you expect? too harsh on your judgement of him
People hear gold glove defense and forget that his gold glove is from playing 3B
Where matt
Great video, Dan.
My disagreements:
Gleyber - should be on the good tier
Rizzo - should be on the good tier
Sears - should be on the neutral tier
Also maybe the tier above incredible could be called “Team MVP category” but I’m not sweating that at all haha.
Rizzo is in the great tier even though he's batting like .219. His homers are top 6 and RBIs top 4 in the America League plus plays a gold glove caliber 1st base.
first are your categories. you should have a very good between good and great. rizzo and torres would be vg.
If given the choice between having DJ or Torres on my team.......I take DJ every day of the week.
Rizzo=great
Higgy gets "neutral."
Good list.
Rizzo is close to great and going higher.
Sears is good!
DJ will return to "great."
Rizzo Good
IKF is out slugging Hicks by a lot. lol
IKF should be in good
Trevino is definitely inCredible
I have a premonition: Matt Carpenter is going to have a huge moment in the postseason
We better make it without choking but to me someone who I think will have a good postseason Anthony rizzo
Put wandy, Torres, rizzo at good
Also, where would you put the legend Matt Carpenter since hes not on the list
Incredible no doubt
Mentioned him at the end!
Where is Matt Carpenter????
touched on him at the end!
Gleyber has a solid argument on being top 3 AL second baseman
Glad you keep doing these. Perfect time of the year tbh for a good how’s the year going so far read/vibe on the players. Hicks legit needs to be rated as High school water boy tho.
But when he's one of the only bad players on the whole roster, that's a pretty damn good sign in the overall view of the season.
Thanks man and LOL
Votar juego de estrella
We're about to play 20 straight games so let's see what the tier list looks like after this long run
Donaldson deserves the great category for calling out Jackie Anderson
Holmes goes in greatest of all time. Mo is the only Yankee who can compare with the run he’s on this year and that should tell you enough.
Also, IKF has to go in not good. He’s hitting is matching his career stats, it isn’t on pace to get better. On the defensive side he has an insanely low OAA. I’d prefer squid tbh.
should have kept Andujar :,(
Ron marinaccio blew the close game vs. the rays where if he didnt walk and hbp two guys in a row, then judges home run would’ve tied the game 2-2
Gleyber is good, not great
Fair
gleyber is good

Above "incredible" is obviously, "Superstar." Have you forgotten your vocabulary? Love ya'.
9:15 everyone cheated including pitchers so 73 is the rightful record
Gley has been good . No way Great .
He was factoring in expectations and people thought he wasn’t going to play this good
@@DylanPlaysonYT which is pretty crazy because 2 years ago this performance from him would have been well below expectations. And now it's well above expectations.

I like the idea of monthly updates. How about updates on minors?
Gonna start doing that soon. Just wanted the minors to get a good amount of games in for me to start caring ab their individual performance
You put Donaldson way too high as well homie
