i mean they had him at SS to begin his career, if bro can’t play a good SS or 2B, might as well see if he can handle 3b, cuz jaz is a natural 2b. If he was more flexible to sacrifice for team then they most likely would of resigned him cuz his bat was legit during postseason.
@@CH-lx5pbyea facts. Yankees had 6 years to give Gleyber reps at 3B and waited until his FA year during his worst season to give him reps at 3B lmfao. Don’t blame Gleyber at all for wanting to play where he’s comfortable (and it worked out well as if was a huge bat during the stretch). Horrible mismanagement by the organization just like when they left him to die at SS until the final month of the 2021 season.
If Dominguez can do lead-off with an OBP above .300 and play CF, well, that would be very nice indeed. I could see 3B being a platoon situation, but it is going to anyone who shows batting above corpse-level.
Tend to agree with u on most things but I couldn’t disagree more with the Gleyber to 3B thing. You obviously can assume 3B Would be better for him based on his physical profile. But taking a genuinely bad fielder out of his comfortable position, mid season, where his biggest issue at SS was his throws across the diamond is kinda dumb to me. If they wanted Gleyber at 3B They should have been giving him reps in spring years ago. Doesn’t matter anymore he’s not on the team, and now they gave jazz another position to be able to play so it worked out well imo Also I think vivas will have a better spring than waldo, peraza and DJ and he might end up at 2B if they don’t make any moves lmfso
12:57 try growing up in the 98 era where you could name the lead off hitter but they weren’t anybody. didn’t matter. team still rolled. not the thing to focus on.
love gleyber. he’s not a winner tho. on the yanks you do whatever is best for the team. and his lackadaisical aspect just doesn’t fit on a championship team. we wish him well.
I am not a fan of Cash and Boone. I appreciate Boone as a Yankees player. If your annoyed about who is going to leadoff, imagine being a player and you don't know were you going to bat in the lineup day to day or what position your in. I believe if the players did know the offensive would be alot better as well as the defense.
@cejannuzi Hey, I understand the lineup changes for players by mid season that aren't good batting against opposing pitchers. Thus, to make a long story short most of our production came from the middle the rest of the offensive players moved around. Hopefully, the can get some consistency in the batting order to get comfortable. I am old school (late 80's) the analytics haven't gotten us a WS. The years we won WS's we were GM'd by Bob Watson and Gene Michael; no analytics. The only team I know it worked for is the team that started it which is/was the Oakland A's. I am all for not being a copycat team like most teams do in sports to win the trophy it's good to have your own identity as a team. Overall, I understand your comment
I love the lineup other than DJ. I’m not thrilled with Volpe. He’s just not that good. At some point we gotta come to grips. There’s just something missing. He plays small 🤷🏻♂️
Waiting till the trade deadline can cause u to lose games u didn’t have to lose
Don't tell US.. tell cashfraud😂
You can’t ask a guy to move to a position he never played in a free agency year at the end of the season that’s a bad job by cashman

@ yeah in spring training not in a playoff run

Question- are they holding Stroman incase something happens like Cole last year? (or if that happens to some other team)
yanks are going back to the series.
based on how jasson plays would a move for tucker make sense?

couldn’t agree less, nothing has been consistent besides the mid managing of games and rosters.
A lot of teams just don't do it this way though. Analytics says where people should be in the lineup based on the matchups vs. the expected pitchers.

I can’t believe DJ is still on this team. And the Martian can’t play left. I hope the Yanks don’t ruin this kid.

We need another arm i bet before Allstars break someone gets hurt again
Well, I think that might be why Cashman wants to keep Stroman. He knows Cole, Rodon and Fried are not workhorses.
