For anyone weirded out at how expensive the chair is, consider that he probably spends like 8hrs sitting on it every single day. He might use that chair more than he uses his bed. That alone imo makes it a way better value proposition, for its long term health effects, much like investing in a good bed.
Totally agree, good chairs are expensive. Totally worth the investment.
Using that same logic water companies should make bottles of water insanely expensive because we literally need it to live.

I'm a manly man that enjoys candles at his PC as well and I was wondering if Luke was ever going to talk about them in his setup. I also buy them in bulk at the summertime, and my girlfriend never complains.
I don’t get why people struggle with the idea of dropping $2k on a chair?? You’re sat in the thing for 8+ hours a day. You can’t put a value on that!
I didn’t think you were gonna mention the KEF LS 50 speakers, but you did right at end. I use a pair in my living room and have LSX’s on my PC, unbelievable active speakers.

@@EffMTeeFunny thing is, I get well rested on my expensive bed and I no longer spend all day trying to get out of bed due to lack of rest. You pay more and spend less time on it, which is worth the investment. Some do just fine without it tho.
I'm not exactly a chair expert but its just hard to believe you have to go all te way up to 2k for a good chair. Like, what about a single thousand? That already sounds insane to me and i somehow would have to double insane to prevent my back from exploding according to some people. Is that really not enough like, what is this design and how hard is it to achieve its design? Are they spending some of the money on some cause?

I've struggled with backpain for years and ended up sufferring from cervical discopathy. Not sure about doctors in America, but here in eastern europe, every good doctor will tell you, before talking about chairs, that first of all you must not sit for hours straight without getting up every hour or two. And then that you need some movement and exercises. And you need to take care of what you sleep on (both mattress and pillow) and how. Then, when it comes to the chair we spend hours in every day, it simply must be comfortable to you. Not quality, not pricetag, not bells and whistles, adjustable whatever and a 'gaming chair' label. Whatever chair you don't feel pain sitting in after few hours is the right chair for you. You can't know this by watching a review or a commercial, you can't know this by even trying the chair for 10 minutes in a store, cause that's simply too short and not in your 'way you sit' context. You can only know this by buying and sitting in it. But again, it DOES NOT mean that spending hundreds of dollars for an 'ergonomic gaming chair' will work for your back.

I can attest to this to the chair purchase. I work remotely and I sit on the chair for 8 hours if not longer, daily. My back posture actually deteriorated over the years and my neck hump was horrible. Bit the bullet and invested into a Herman Miller after experiencing a colleagues one. Honestly, the best investment I've made in my entire setup. Neck hump is gone and back posture massively improved. You'll regret overlooking this when you hit your senior years and it's too late...take care of your posture now, not later guys.
That chair looks like the ideal. I think a headrest would make it significantly better.

I brought a Herman Miller Embody and my thoughts are + amazing back rest that made me feel younger because it improved my everyday mobility. That sounds insane but I didn't realise how much my bad sitting posture had effected me. + HM service is excellent in terms of delivery and returns and unfortuately I did have to return it. The return was hassle free and I was refunded within a week of collection. So, the deal breaker and why I sent it back. - the seat can be extended/shortened to accomodate varying thigh lengths. This meant that the seat was made up of two different materials. The far front quarter (the adjustable part) was a firmer material. The back three thirds was softer and super comfortable. However, this created a ridge where the two materials met horizontally and was really uncomfortable after a short amount of sitting time as it dug into my thighs. I researched that other customers had the same problem. Some people got used to it and other people used a cushion. At this price point I was not prepared to compromise hence the return. If it did not have this problem it would be worth every penny. As it is I would recommend buying from a reputable dealer with a solid returns policy if you were considering buying one.

I got a Herman Miller for 100 dollars on Facebook marketplace. Best way to get them is looking for office liquidations. Never underestimate how much better a nice chair can make you feel, especially if you spend a lot of time in it.

Bought an Embody for myself a few months ago because i'm in my chair 10+ hours a day with work & gaming. One of the best purchases i've made for my health.
Every time Luke mentions giving away some of the collectables that he gets, I just grin and think, "That's me!" haha Just another reason Luke is my favorite CC other than just being a great dude.
I've been using an Aeron chair for the past decade, never had any issues with it and every other chair just feels a little wrong after spending so much time in this one - strong believer in Herman Miller as a brand though as a result

Being comfortable is important if you are sitting at a desk for 6,7,8+ hours a day streaming, editing, filming for YT etc...
Getting one for free is just a huge bonus.

You literally have the exact desk setup I wish I had. 48" oled as main and ultrawide as a secondary. Love it bro... just wish I could afford ANYTHING in that room. OK, maybe I could afford a miniature but you know what I mean!

Normally I cba any sponsor stuff. But I do wanna add that as someone whose main hobby is playing games and my main job is sitting in front of my pc anyway, an Embody chair has been the most worthwhile purchase in my life. The price could be steep but I would recommend everyone buying a good ergonomic chair, if not a Herman Miller one. I''m sure some other brand can offer lesser but way cheaper alternatives.

Everyone defending 2K for a chair in the replies is insanity. 45 with a bad back here and 180 on a chair was enough to help with pain related to multiple herniated discs.

I first purchased an Embody back in 2018, but recently switched over to the Anthros. This was a fantastic decision for me, as I don't have broad shoulders, and desperately needed more lower back support (when compared to the Embody). Glad to see others enjoying some ergonomic upgrades!
You can try a Herman Miller chair and send it back within their window and get your money back. I did that because I loved the armrests, but unfortunately I could not get the backrest comfortable for me. Test out chairs before you commit to them. Everyone’s body is different.

I really appreciate you showing your studio. I always enjoy your studio tours. Herman Miller chairs are very good, but I don't understand why they are missing a headrest. Could you suggest some low-power studio lights and list your equipment? Also, could you draw a topology showing how everything is connected?

The Order 1886 could be a great open world Victorian mystery monster hunting game with cool weapons made by Nikola Tesla. Hunting Ghosts, Werewolves, Vampires, etc. I wish they would go that direction.

Regarding posture, best way to remove damage to your spine is to have a standing desk if you work at a desk most of the day. Switching between standing up and sitting is much better and helps your blood flow as well.
I don't know why but the Todd Howard candle cracks me up, also my wife would laugh at your paltry candle collection and call you a rank amateur, unfortunately I have the receipts to prove it.
