@@MJW238 - When I was young I got to know a lot of music thanks to older people and friends (also comics, books and all kinds of things that were new to me then). Being young is the great time to know and learn more about what you like ... and that is achieved with curiosity and help from those who know. Only respect allows you to approach and share with others, regardless of age.
Look, my generation were all young, beautiful, and skinny in the mid-80's, Then one day you wake up and you're 58, 60 years old. Its just life. You'll ALL be there one day, so be kind!! (In our minds, we're all 30, lol)
Melissa Vitrano, When I Dream, I’m always in my 20s, 30s. I was 19 and 20 in 1980, when I heard them for the very first time. Wow, Fred’s voice isn’t as easy as it used to be. But, they’re still the best New Wave band I’ve ever heard!
I love how the audience sings along 😎 That's a great show of endearment for the B-52s. They've given so many people alot of fond memories through the decades 👍
People need to shut up with the mean comments. Look at what they gave the world for corn sake, and continue to give. We all age. You get on stage at 70, then we'll talk. Evolve already people.
exactly... the B52s has contributed greatly to help shape the music of the 80s and the music today.... but still they remain unique and unrivaled... yes people get old and they now move slower and physically with lesser energy... but their spirit will always be at its peak...
First of all, thank you for sharing this! I reeeeally LOVE that they still dress the same no matter how old they get. Same goes for the make up and wigs too!! I’m 45 now and I know they they are all a couple decades older than me… But dang, I’d be tired just wearing those costumes, hair and make up, and from standing through one song! Lol. Having to be “on” in performance-mode wears you out but itself.
I bet one of the greatest experiences a person can have is to be in a band, playing on stage, and having the entire audience singing your lyrics back at you. Also, Tracy Wormworth is a goddess.
People that respond unkindly probably have never experienced a B-52s concert in their hey day! They are great, a little aged but still wonderful. They nailed their spot in culture . I will always love them......blasting in my car speeding down the highway.
I am lost in admiration to these guys. Over 70 and still have the talent and the voices and not forgetting their youthful joy and humour. Thank you B52's for an amazing song, a part of my teen years. Thank you.
I was there for sure dude the B-52's playing their new music spirit. They're hotter than Roxy Music or at least with Zappa David Bowie you know the story.
I never thought the the B-52s would still be around today. Their music was original, innovative, and a lot of fun. I wished I would have known about this concert because I would have been there. Gob bless them all and thank you, B-52s! :-)
i saw them for the first time in the mid 80s and im still completely in love with this band, i wish they would come to Bristol in the UK we absolutely love them such an awesome band!!!!!!!
I had the pleasure to see them perform twice back in 1985 during the first Rock in Rio Festival. Over 200,000 people. Probably their largest audience ever.
Moving to Pinellas County from Colorado next spring. Hope the B-52's are doing shows near there in the future. Saw them outdoors here in Colorado in the summer of 2018 and they dance rocked big-time.
I can still feel the sense of curiosity when I first laid eyes on the bright yellow album cover with those five people on it. My best friend went to Licorice Pizza the day before and brought his new album into the boy's gym so he could play it on the record player in the office. I was 14 years old and the world as I knew it would change in that moment. It was no longer just about disco (which I only came appreciate later in life), R&B, and my mother's music. The B-52's were different, vibrant, full of energy. The B-52's became *my* music...are _still_ my music, 42 years later. Bodies age, but the music retains the spirit and energy from the time it was written and the memories from the time it was first heard. No hate here...I saw them four years ago and will see them again!
Legendarios....!!!!! merecen todos los reconocimientos del mundo que hagan falta para esta banda, que no entiendo porqué, no se ha reconocido como se debe, son geniales.!! ...Un corazón gigante para ellos, saludos desde Chile
i was at a show in 2018 and it was awesome, the switch to low rider was so good, and back to love shack, i saw some recent footage from this year they were looking so slowed down, i get it 6 years at their age is alot, but damn im glad i saw them in 2018, woulda killed to see them in the eighties but i wasn't even born yet.
I remember seeing the B-52s back in the day in Atlanta before their first LP- when they only had a demo 45 of Rock Lobster and 52 Girls. Then I saw them years later at a club in Madrid. Fred was dressed as a doorman. Glad to see they are still rocking.
The most complicated arrangement most unlikely to get right a few decades later in a live performance. They still sound great. The 2 ladies still do this incredible harmonics, sounding like a whole rhythm section with violins and trombones. They still look like they having a blast.
eine der schönen bands, die man erst 10-50 mal hören muß..dann macht es BANG! und man ist fan :D und wieder sitze ich mit einem lächeln am rechner und ärger mich, nicht live dabei zu sein. google translator: one of the beautiful bands that you have to hear only 10-50 times..then it makes BANG! and one is fan: D and again I sit with a smile on the computer and feel annoyed not to be there live.
I can actually hear their voices warming up and getting more flexible towards midway through the song. It’s funny, I’m a performer (probably because of these guys actually!) and my experience of getting up on stage as I get older is about first feeling “oh shit I’m getting old can I even do this?” Then a few songs in I actually forget the old shit in my brain and I get endorphins like I haven’t felt in years and then I am kickin it!
Fred was a nice guy. I ran into him from time to time at "our" favorite record store, Record Rover, when it was on Pico. I'd give him a smile and a nod, and then quickly give him his privacy back. The crew told me he was always a friendly customer.
For those who will never grow old, know that for me to be able to watch this video today during this pandemic is an honor, long life to The B52's
At 68 and this band-song makes my old bones move and rejuvenate my soul. Thank you for sharing this video!
Young people need to be more respectable because us older people love to see the legends from our past still going
If they keep breathing they will be just like us so piss on them
I'm a young man loving to see this
Just tell them 2 watch the original film clip
They kick ass
You got it so right 🤗

My wife and I danced up a storm during this show. Nice dance floor area, great conference concert.

I loved them as a teen in 1980 and I still love them here in 2021 as a 60 year old grandpa...Cheers
Great to see them again! One of my all-time favs!
I can recognize their youthful energy in these minimalist movements, and I'm so glad their voices are still the same...★★★★★
I can also recognize their youthful energy... in their 80s videos.
I just cannot believe it. They go ing to perform even before their last sounding living breath. My forever band.
GRANDES , MAESTROS, 100 POR CIENTO GENIOS MUSICALES, PASARAN LOS AÑOS Y SU LEGADO Y ESE ARTE QUEDARAN CON NOSOTROS...MIL GRACIAS B-52s...

Fred looks more ready than ever to drive an old Chrysler.
he sounds like one, sans muffler.
Moving to Pinellas County from Colorado next spring. Hope the B-52's are doing shows near there in the future. Saw them outdoors here in Colorado in the summer of 2018 and they dance rocked big-time.

Oh, aren't you a cutie!
These bands were the thing when I was a kid and now it’s like a an outing from the geriatric home!
Super sympa ! Ils assurent un max, c'est cool. Merci pour cette vidéo.
Grew up in Augusta .....used to listen to them all the time while in Athens. Great times.
Admirable, la edad que tienen y son una maquina de rock and roll... Y encima cantan muy bien. Respeto para estos artistas!!!
I was in my early 20s when this came out, now in early 50s, thanks for the reality check😭😭😭
50s not 60s lol.
They are great! Every time they come on the radio I crank it up.
Bang, Bang, Bang on the door baby! Rockin it out! Love these guys!
The B-52s...for ever and ever!!....they always make me feel good!...love them!!
Great show....rained cats & dogs 30 minutes before doors opened. Everyone got soaked waiting in line, but still had a fantastic time!
The people in front of and behind me in line had umbrellas 😂 I felt so unprepared but I wasn't about to carry an umbrella in there
That's what it's all about baby. Power through and have fun no matter what!
B 52's showed up. The show must go on! God Bless em and everyone else.
Son leyendas, gracias por compartirlo. Bien

This song was the summer-soundtrack around the world (for quite a long time!)
Still killin' it and looking fab doing it.
I love these guys!
My husband worked with Kate at the Athens Banner Herald newspaper.
Just think, Kate Pierson (the redhead) is 70 years old in 2018 when this concert took place!
I wouldn't kick her out of bed. 😁
I love Kate. One of the best vocalists of all time and the most unique voice. No other singer sounds like her.
beppo2814 No way!
I don't think so !
Funny...she looks 90
I agree with that? People need to show more respect for old rock groups and quit disrespecting
I agree. We may be old but we know and heard all the best bands.
Still one of the best rock-n-roll tunes ever written and preformed. Very Cool 😎 Video. 👍🏿
Just raw talent, awesome thanks 🙏
I'm heavy metal, metal core, but I love those girls 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Love them, its about fun and nostalgia. Never stop!
I think that they are from my country and I still love it!!!!
OMG have not seen them since the early 90's. Loved em then, luv them now.
This song! Brings back good memories!
Love the B52s since I was a working DJ with their Rock Lobster days.
We were at the beach. Everyone had matching towels.....
@@governmentvirus9368 yeah I was a DJ in New York when they hit town!

Wow. Still rocking on. I had two big Chryslers. Big boats and I loved them.
They are all beautiful
Agradeço pela postagem! :)

I have been a fan of the group since buying the Planet Claire album in 1979.
Glad, they are still touring. One day I also want to see them live B-)
Eu estava presente neste show... Em Orlando.👍👏👏👏👏
