I looked up the artist Henry Royer. He was known in France and USA. He did a few different types of area's. That item in the "children's room" looks to be a desk of sorts. With the left side of the wardrobe door. The latch is at the bottom. It was like a little hook/latch My grandmother had a vanity and wardrobe that had them.

@@ndnaf3705 I am blessed to have this little house. We needed a place where elderly family from England could come to stay with us , without the 10 hour flight to our home. Sadly, they are gone now, but it is nice to have a bolt hole. It is just a little workman's house, very modest, but lovely to have..if you like housework and gardening in two places!
The flag on the little ship is dutch 😁 The little box in the bedroom is a juwelry box The standard to put your clothes is called a dressboy. Still available , you can Google it The brush is to wipe the shoulders after they comb their hair when they go outside. My grandmother had these. She puts on her coat, comb her Hair, wiped her shoulders and then she was ready to go outside after looking in the mirror ofcourse ❤️

If you would have shown purses or fashion- we could have roughly dated the lady occupant
Big closet with bed linens = Linen Press
A most interesting exploration. Just so very sad that people left everything behind. I feel like coming and restoring the house to its previous glory!
It's all very sad too me. Amazing find! Thanks for the share.
What a awesome find.. Loved ❤ it. Your videos are all so wonderful and interesting Lesley. Love your voice too. The bed rooms were all beautiful. I think the thing off the the phone was a amplifier. Was really cool a sink in each room and the fireplaces were so cool of marble. I just started to watch your videos and I just love of what I have viewed. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Bonnie H. In Michigan USA🇺🇸 I will.be watching more. 👍👍🌹
The house is so beautiful would love to purchase it though, how are you doing with your family Bonnie I hope you’re safe from the virus?
Such a shame nobody took it over. It's stunning!
Actually explorers r doing a good job with their own risks 🙏
I think this house could have been a boardinghouse as well because of all the sinks in the room.. I live in the USA and I Love all your video's I'm addicted... Thanks for sharing.. God Bless You and William!
Really love the narrative and presentation of your videos. The seriousness and documentation of the presentations are really good, and you maturing as a narrator, keep it up, hard work always pay off,!
I looked up the artist Henry Royer. He was known in France and USA. He did a few different types of area's.
That item in the "children's room" looks to be a desk of sorts.
With the left side of the wardrobe door. The latch is at the bottom. It was like a little hook/latch
My grandmother had a vanity and wardrobe that had them.
Such a lovely and enteresting house, fascinating rooms still made beds, nice video, the dining and the food elevator amazing, thanks for sharing good luck to your next adventure, take care 👏🙏😇😻🇵🇭
I have an old house in France. The conuits and light switches are the same...it breaks my heart that this lovely house is abandoned and not loved.
Lucky!! My dream is to own a home in France! Or really, anywhere outside the US!
The flag on the little ship is dutch 😁
The little box in the bedroom is a juwelry box
The standard to put your clothes is called a dressboy. Still available , you can Google it
The brush is to wipe the shoulders after they comb their hair when they go outside.
My grandmother had these. She puts on her coat, comb her Hair, wiped her shoulders and then she was ready to go outside after looking in the mirror ofcourse ❤️
I'm in awe of that beautiful silver wallpaper in her bedroom. Or just her bedroom in general!
Very exquisite taste! Classic and Epic!! Well done Leslie!
One of the music books you pulled out has the same patterned as a book I have, mine is dated 1834.

Third floor was probably where she did law work. Very interesting explore. The food elevator is called a "dumb waiter" in the US.
Enjoyed this very much! good job! thank you!
Leslie this is a wonderful story and all the vintage furniture was awesome. Good explore. And the sewing machines, priceless!😊

In English, the food elevator is called a "Dumb Waiter" and the weaving on the chairs is called "wicker".
there were cane chairs and wicker chairs, never saw that one before right about the dumb waiter
Hahaha... Dumb waiter!! Sounds funny!! Thanks for explaining
@@ingridugarteche4301 Dumb originally meant silent or unable to speak ...and so the "dumb waiter" can also be called a "silent butler". ;)
@@kindlydude really!? 😆 Thanks for explaining it to me!

Another beautiful home! Thank you!
The part hanging off phone might have been used for an intercom or possibly an amplifier for those with hearing loss.
I think it was for an intercom too. By not lifting the receiver for an outside line, they may have been able to dial extentions within the house. It looks like you could only talk or listen though, so I'm not sure. Pretty ancient in any case. Those phones are OLD.
With this extension somebody else could listen to the conversation without being heard.
