Cheers mate for finally bringing a real world usage along with benchmarks video. It’s not that complicated if u want to get a m2 MacBook Air. Like he said. If u r rendering videos all day and similar cpu intensive “pro”work then u shouldn’t be even looking at this machine. For everyone else literally, it’s a perfect machine. Ordered mine with 16gb ram and 1Tb of memory in space grey, after seeing how the midnight colour is becoming a fingerprint magnet. Now someone might say why spend so much extra and go for the m1 MacBook Pro 14 instead. My answer to all of them is, I am coming from a 2015 MacBook Pro 13 and i am a full time trader and would be using this machine for that purpose and the usual consumption of multimedia stuff, browsing etc. and why should I not go for the latest apple chip and technology in the m2 air than the m1 pro. These are significant temperature differences between the M1 and M2 but it only crops up in intensive use. I setup a Zenbook for a customer this week and it got damned hot just setting it up which surprised me. I do think it shows though the results of putting more performance in the same chassis and of course no fan (I am not a fan of fans). A 4º difference I would rate as quite significant. Apple obviously haven't increased the cooling solution. It may be that making it thinner made cooling more difficult. I still like the wedge shape for typing on the M1. One of the best features of the MBA M1.

Great video.
Entering the Give it away now! M1 air for my Dad who has my old 13" 2014 macbook pro and complains about the thernals and fan noise even when he only watches an HD video on youtube.
Just got your video in my recommendations. Was deciding on getting the new Mac for med school in 3 months. Winning the Mac would be amazing since I won’t have to pay and I can use it for med school I’m starting in 3 months 🎉
Great vid. The real life applications along with benchmark tests made sense rather than pushing it like other vids.
I’m wondering if M1 air or M2 air will handle long hours of Chrome usage. I dont do renders or vid edits. Just web apps.
Cheers again for this video and m glad I made the right choice. All these thermal throttling videos on UA-cam r just taking it to an extreme without real world usage and scenarios which imho is just rubbish.
Nice review
Thanks for putting my mind at ease with my M2 MBA order :)
Just got my M1 Air (refurbished) gold....its so cool:)
You’re doing thorough reviews. Thanks for your hard work!
Awesome video! I’d definitely use it for an M2 MacBook Air!
Great info as always. Would love to use the M1 Air for music production.
Hi loving these videos. Im a digital nomad and getting the MBA would work wonders for my back lol.
You should do a thermal mod for the M2 like you did for the M1 Macbook Air.
I usually tend to play games for a good while on my m2 air, should I be worried about it being really hot for typically an hour at a time? I don’t mind it being slower, I’d just like to know whether it would damage the laptop or not.
Nice video! I love this type of informative videos, I need get one macbook air.
This is good enough for casual video editing and more serious productivity workload.
Will this macbook survive in the temperate areas where temprature are 40+ when u r on the go
Please try Oleophobic coating on the midnight m2 macbook pro to see if the fingerprint magnet problem is resolved, your test will be much appreciated.
I did some growing up years near Melbourne Vic. Everywhere north was too hot.
Thanks for the video, I would use the prize to show the difference between the M2 and some other systems!
Im a content Creator and been really waiting for the m2 to come.. ive been wanting to buy the m1, but heard about m2 coming. it so hard for me to travel and wait to go home just to edit a Video. Awesome video man! this video help me decide to go with the M2.
Would have been nice to see on how to open the M2 the best way 👍
Besides, just apply a Thermal Pad & all should be future-proof & perfect!
This would be pretty easy to accomplish & with great benefits to avoid overheating in general...
Would watching videos, whilst using Microsoft office and having several internet tabs open cause the M2 air to heat up a lot?
exactly, we're usually coding, wow, you're covering everything, dude, this is a life saver, can't thank you enough, have a great day!
Will you do the thermal pad mod for the M2 MacBook Air this year?
