取体验下世外桃源的生活可以，久了估计没有经济来源，又要回城里打工。不是每个人都能做个成功的网红。
李子柒的视频没有那种“文化输出”的功利心，就是和奶奶过着自己自给自足的生活，单纯而美好，加上她的审美很不错，把传统文化元素很美的呈现出来，所以才达到了一种文化输出的效果。

She is showing a different perspective of China, but she uses the way of variety shows, not rigorous documentaries.
Who said anything about being ashamed? Her videos are inspirational -- whats there to be ashamed about?
Also, I don't know if she is trying to (or claiming to) speak for China! This might be a pretty individual take, a sort of idyllic or utopian vision of a beautiful life in the countryside. It might not be typical of historical or modern China at all! It's related somehow! It's a modern life influenced by Chinese history I would say. I watch it all the time!

Her videos help people to understand that Chinese as a whole is very peaceful, we have deep bonds to our family and to the land we are from. We prefer to stay close to home. We are hardly aggressive, we instead built the Great Wall to fend off aggressors, we encourage mutual respect and reconciliations not wars. We want the world to know that unlike some other nations, we don’t build our wealth from robbing from other people, we put in hard work ourselves. Maggie Jiang Culture showcase is not about how many people living exactly the same thing an art illustrates. Art is about the spirit the soul and the style of beauty. As a scientist myself lived and living in the highly competitive world in China and in US, I got touched by her artistic videos and I also see how my culture background of striving for more harmony with nature and society is in my blood. That’s the power of art, which is a way of showcasing, preserving and inspiring cultural traditions. It’s a blessing.

I have just learned about her recently. I did not realize that she produces the video by herself, until I saw the video of her interview. I find that her videos really display the essence of Chinese culture on the art of living, or the philosophy of living a life.

My mother is indigenous American - and what I have learned from her culture is very similar but the food which I find very amazing - my mother's ppl come from the mountains where I live now - so similarity drew me to her - passing down our heritage is a privilege - and yes our kids don't want to learn - but the grandchildren are interested

I totally agree with your arguments about why people (me included) like Liziqi. There are very few big content creators here on UA-cam that offer the chance to discover places and traditions we normally don't have access to or the possibility to enjoy. All these amazing footages bring such an authentic feeling and that's why I enjoy watching her videos.

Im from sweden and my wife is from Philippines and the places we wanted to go visit was korea and japan but after seeing li ziqis videos we really want to go to china and explore china. I think she is like an "ambassador" for china creating a lot of positive attitude and vibe.

記得有在UA-cam 看過一個她用竹子做傢具的視頻，她視頻很少說話 但結尾時會有字幕寫些類似感想或為什麼要做這個傢具的原因，視頻上的字是中文但下面就有她的粉絲自己在評論下翻譯英文😄。真正喜歡她視頻的人自會向自己的朋友推或轉發在臉書等社群，所以她外國的粉絲應該比國內還多。

I had just subscribed to her channel, and most of her video is what makes me like about Chinese culture and value.
I am a big fan of Li Ziqi, always watch her videos to distress and motivate me. As a second generation Chinese born overseas and growing up in a country side , I can relate to many things that she does as my grandparents used to make food just like her, for instance making soy sauce, salt, rice flour, tofu , meatballs, salted eggs...etc from scratch.
I also like the fact that she introduces many traditional arts of China to the world and her filial love for her grandmother is so touching , something that is rare among the young these days.

Mr Raz, I agree with you what you shared about Miss Li. A friend shared with me about her videos and when I first watched it I was bowled over. Even as my Dad (who is 85) was recuperating from a fall and was immobile for a bit, was thrilled to watch her videos.
You accurately pointed out that those of us who live in cities do not get to do what Miss Li experience. There are many plants/ dishes I have not encountered. So to me, Miss Li, in her down to earth ways captured my attention. It kind of make me dream of fields of vegetable farms and fruit trees in the wild or her home orchard. It is really a blessing to see the God given abundance of Yunnan. The hard work she put in building this window to her home in China is commendable. Makes me want to visit her! (Any plans to draw up tour packages?)

Totally agree with you. There is no doubt that industrialization has homogenized many diverse, unique cultures around the world. Although it is necessary for us modern people, we also have the desire to link back to the Mother Nature and maybe a less intense lifestyle. As a result, of course Liziqi and other youtubers focusing on traditional, natural life perspectives would attract us, because they revive their unique, original, diverse, remote yet comforting cultures from our modern life. I’m a Jewish guy all the way from NYC and I love her videos. Basically for many, her appeal is very simple and just about one word: ESCAPISM. People, especially those with desk job want to be able to watch a beautiful video that allows them to escape reality and the boredom of the day to day.

I visited China 2013 and what struck me was this wonderful mix of old fashioned and simple life - hand made clothes, shoes and bags, home made food and small gardens and the modern life - they already had more mobile phones than toilets. I love the country and the people despite the obvious flaws (like little sea animals in plastic bags). What Li Ziqi does is exactly that - the old and the new existing side-by side, her exciting set of skills - feeling at home with a full set of traditional craftsmanship and art, together with her obvious talent for film making and fine arts. Together with her wonderful loving soul - what’s not to love?

I like watch Liziqi Video, it makes me a bit nostalgic and home missing when watching the idyllic lifestyle which is good very enjoyable, that is why I really could not understand why there are many haters in China, is it because utilitarianism, they measure everything by money behind of it ?
At this time most of people want to escape from the life in cities because the life in cities are so stressful and busy now. Liziqi acted as a actress in the UA-cam films which show livings in the nature in peace.
