3years ago I went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner in California USA, they were playing Li ziqi' s videos instead of playing American Football game on their TV screen
Liziqi, first filmed her first videos with her iPhone, then bought a camera. She learned her cooking techniques from her grandfather, she was also a disk jockey in the city, then learned her grandfather was ailing. She decided to go live with her grandmother when her grandfather died. She’s an extraordinary cook, gardener, wood crafts person seamstress, even had silk worms to make silk, knitter, embroiderer, ink and paper maker. The list is endless. There’s almost nothing she can’t make! I’ve been viewing her videos for the last four years. Enjoy each one she uploads. Thank you for realizing what an amazing young woman she is. 💜

Hi Shasa and all, just share a few about Li Ziqi. She was a poor girl born in a farmer family in rural China. Her mother died when she was just a kid. Her stepmother did not like her. She needed to do almost everything like cooking, cleaning, sewing when at home. Her family could not afford to send her to college. So she went to city to earn her living. She was doing jobs like a waitress or what. A couple of years later her father passed away. Her stepmother left home with her stepbrother, leaving her granny behind. She missed her grandmother so returned home to take care of her. She figured out to make videos showing some of skills she learnt years ago to support her and granny's living. In the first episodes, she did mention that the skills shown was genuine (someone questioned if the bamboo furniture set were really made by herself). She learnt these skills was for living as none else would cook or take care of her other than her granny. That's why she so adored her. Li is a bit introverted but humble. She has a huge fan club but seldom shows up. For most of time she stays quietly in her village house with granny.. She now has a small camera crew to help her, but back in few years ago she did all filming and editing by herself. She once showed how she edited the clips on her Xiaomi phone.
@@kedudu1903 Pretty sure she made a video about that telling us why her food might be like you say. what attracted me to liziqi is the nostalgia. It reminded me a lot of my childhood. not the environment specifically and the specific things she does, but the handmaking of so many things and the seemingly slower pace or rather more mindfull pace to go through your day. I remember foraging for nuts and flowers and plants to use in cooking or decorations for the house. I also more specifically remember making these dried flowers and cards. I remember making all kinds of stuff yourself. my family from both sides are "i can do it myself" type of persons with a lot of a "I'll be figuring it out" attitude, they never were rich, but were rich in skills and could do many things themselves. Just like liziqi. And I just naturally followed in their footsteps, I tend to gravitate to handmaking my own things. I really enjoy the mindfulness. I have often thought about making a channel on youtube about the things I do and then I found liziqi and she already does it so beautifully. It really represents how I feel. allthough it does mostly show the perfect side, behind the scenes of handmaking your own stuff is a lot of trial and error ;) . but it's fulfilling.
I feel so connected to your father. I have been keeping a small workshop since elementary school. Back then it's 2 cartons under the bed storing all my radio parts and tools. For next 30 years I built telescope, RC planes, scale models, sailing boats, furnitures until my daughter came to this world in 2020. My wife literally sealed off my workshop since there are too many power tools. My wife has a whole set of equipment to make specimen tree leaves. She can no longer hike to collect leaves with all the baby things. Now we are just like the other randomly boring parents in Shanghai. I'd hope my daughter will watch internet trending with us one day, after some 20 years. The way you interact with your dad and mom really warms my heart. Best wishes to you and your loving family.
@@SaphsContainerGarden I wish Li Ziqi would translate her videos. I can't understand her at all. I love Dianxi for English caption and I find her much more personable than liziqi.

Shep if you watch her older videos where she got black thumb, it clearly is her hands whether the camera zoom in or out. it is her doing all these works, her nails are not always pretty as well, and she just has a petite appearance, but if you look closely, her shoulders and arms are muscular(I have a friend who’s skinny but muscular due to her being in a track team and all of the training she is on) and she uses VPN to upload the video on UA-cam, that is the most logical reason I could think of, because I also used VPN when I traveled to China.
@@inay2862 It’s illegal to use UA-cam in China, yet, she is being offered a top position in the Communist Youth League. Why is a known criminal being promoted? It’s because the CCP wants her videos seen by the world. I’ve been a farmer my whole life, my family farms, my neighbors farm. These videos are so hilarious to us because of how obvious it is that much of this is fake. She receives tremendous help and there’s likely dozens of people directly behind the scenes. These videos are fictional, they depict an idealized farming lifestyle that is impossible to achieve with just the manpower of a girl and her small family

Amy, it’s nice to see your parents with you on the videos. They always support what you do .It’s really a blessing to have such a great parent . Your dad is a legend with a good sense humour.
your dad can have his own channel for his workshop..
Also a fan!!! She is incredible!!! So nice that you shared her with your parents.
the deep-fried noodle thing called, 散子, san zi. very traditional snack thing.
Without question, this Liziqi blogger is a god-send! Her videos are so inspiring and conjure up feelings of goodness and of warmth, of the simple days. So nostalgic!
Are you drunk?
@@erroreliminator2.076 I suppose that if I were inebriated I'd have a better response for you. I'm sorry about that.
You can buy some of her products in Sydney Chinese market , she had a big marketing team as well, also LiZiQi is one of the famous brands listed in Tao BAO as well.
Love to see your videos , not just because of the great food you are introducing but because It’s always joyful to see a closely bonded family who often show respect to other cultures. You and your parents are adorable and your videos always make me happy. At last, Greatly appreciated for your affection to our Chinese culture.
I like your video about how Liziqi celebrates CNY with her grandmother by making all the things by herself from scratch alone. Amazing.
She doesn't do it alone and she has a whole video production team. The chinese gov also pays her.
What a beautiful family☺️ thanks for sharing
Wow, I didn't realize Blondie's Dad was such an expert craftsman. He should definitely have his own channel and call it "Liziqi's Stepdad in Oz".
My wife is from Sichuan province. Those women can do anything and make it look easy. Great video Amy.
feel so peaceful and relaxing when watching Liziqi's video and your dad is always so funny XD
Your parents and you are so wholesome 😭💕 I gasped at your dad's sword collection 🤩
Me watching: Yes I can do this, I can do that!
After watching: lying on sofa.
Your parents are lovely... enjoyed, like always!
We are grateful for all the amazing videos.
On behalf of the British people, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you poem from your loyal fans in England:
Thank you for all you do for the communities;
You make life better for people around you;
Your continual acts of kindness brighten each day;
What you do for people will glow in their memories.
I have been watching Liziqi's amazing videos for quite a while. They are stunningly beautiful and calming. Your mum and dad seem like lovely people.
You should show them that video where Liziqi makes bamboo furniture for her grandma's room. or that one video where she raised silkworms and made a silk duvet + a new outfit to keep her grandma warm! That girl really can do everything...
What a loving family as always! This video is so funny, and I laughed a lot, especially when you pulled your own carrots, lol. Please add the video to your Bilibili channel!
One of the silver linings to COVID is that Amy's stuck in Australia and can continue making videos with her parents. I'll really miss watching videos of your parents once you return to China 🥲
what attracted me to liziqi is the nostalgia.
In the good old days when you don’t have fridge ,you dry everything to preserve when you have extras for rainy days .
Liziqi always makes me so comfortable and inspired. I feel like I can accomplish so much when I see how hard she works.
After Kumquat is "生枣“ (Chinese raw date/jujube), not "Hawtorn".
This is my first time seeing someone making shrimp chips from scratch. I'm honestly impressed!
Her videos are so calming yk
And you see many different things she does perfectly on her own
I love seeing her planting
Blondie's daddy: "Bill look at the puppy"
Bill: "I just want the jerky"
You and your family are so respectful. You can tell that they treat others like equals ❤️
Have you seen Dianxi Xiaoge? She's awesome too. And I love her big doggie, Dawang. He's so cute!.
She's from my home province Yunnan :)
She is great as well! Love that she now has English subtitles so you know what the ingredients are! So many channels emulating LiZiqi now.
@@SaphsContainerGarden I wish Li Ziqi would translate her videos. I can't understand her at all. I love Dianxi for English caption and I find her much more personable than liziqi.
@@samanthalee6890 I haven't watched a ton of her videos but maybe it's because there isn't really anyone else to interact with in her videos so you don't get to see her personality. And maybe she doesn't know any English.
I adore your family; your parents and your sister are all so positive and supportive. Please send my best wishes to them! And all the best to your upcoming new adventure in China!
9:10 were Chinese dates I believe. Hawthorn 山楂 did show up later tho
True, that's not hawthorn yet, it's called 冬枣, winter dates, the texture is crunch and crisp.
OMG the swords!!! This is so awesome!!! Great collection 😁
Your dad makes swords!? Feature him more in videos, or have him start his own channel. Those are some dang good swords!
Your dad is so cute, he gets so excited, love his energy!
I do watching liziqui too. She is amazing...
This channel is my saviour in my worst days
I showed liziqi to my mom during our lockdown and she got obsessed for a while and suddenly stopped watching her because she got annoyed at her being "too perfect" 😂
I know that feels... 😂😂😂
The most obvious propaganda in the world, and you fell for it. Just a hint here, UA-cam is banned in China, yet the CCP tacitly endorses Liziqi. Look at her clothes, her arms, her hands; she is not a manual laborer. God people are easy to fool.
@@imallergictobullets my mom used to be a manuel laborer and when she was young she looked pretty much like this.
A am a fan of liziqi, you are right to show her to your parents she is incredible talented and so skilled, i never miss her videos.I recognize the swords of the witcher! I love creativ people, and the sharing of your dad to liziqi is very cool. When i am discouraged by the work in my life, i think about the liziqi life and all my tiredness go away.
Oh wow Haha, didn't know your dad makes swords Amy, that's dope as hell.
What a cool dad!
great reaction video! your parents are awesome too! coming from someone who just had your video randomly recommended from out of absolute nowhere
Liziqi one of the most popular UA-camr in China. She is very talented
Hope in future she become popular all over the world.
......
I had a really good time watching you and your cute family react to this masterpiece video!
just a small mistake, the first one is dates rather howthorns
They are actually jujube, fruits of Ziziphus jujuba. Dates and jujube are both called 枣 in Chinese but dates in English are actually fruits of Phoenix dactylifera 椰枣.
@@GreatKeny thx for replying, but actually it’s not howthorn XD ~
@@haojiang605 They are not hawthorns. They are not dates either.
@@GreatKeny I mean we need to tell her about these
I watch Liziqi every night before bed. Soooooo relaxing! Her CNY video was amazing! I also love when she makes household items 😊
Can't believe your dad knows about The Witcher series haha. Although since your family has a Polish background I guess it makes sense!
I love your dad spirit 🥰🥰 when he is so excited showing us his workshop and swords that's just a moment I feel how I want to be about my hobby n interests.. Or how anyone should be that proud about theirs 🌹🌹🌹
wow Amy you have to show your dad Grandpa Amu's channel,he will enjoy it I'm sure
wow your dad should have a channel. Love his creations! and the puppy is so cute
I like grandma’s rocking chair.
This is the wholesomest thing ever, haha
I think the massive popularity of Liziqi's channel is that people pine for a simpler, quieter pace of life.
She builds her own oven.
Love your video. My favorite Blondie. Your parents are so adorable.
I think you have a COOOOOOOOOL dad!
