So,the first link is for "Characterization" and the second for Stanislavsky exercise?
Thanks!
@@nayeemhasan6749 Yes. First link is the resource mentioned in this video. Study it before next week!
Ok i will watch ,, my problem is i didnot go deep in circumstances when i acted and sometimes my imagination block ,,, can you please help to solve this
Put in the preparation with with the given circumstances; use the Magic If rather then relying on imagination.
@@OrganicActing ok i do in your playlist is there a lesson of magic if and givencircumstances
really happy that this channel is back on :)
Great video. Thank you for the character building guide :)
Studying for theatre class, this was very helpful
Great stuff!
Pretty nicely explained the art important for a character buildup.
That was very helpful to know!
Just recently found your channel and I love it! Teaching high school acting "live" and "zoom" and/or virtual at the same time is extremely challenging, as all the teachers out there can attest, so using your videos as a jumping off point has saved me untold hours of re-inventing the wheel, so to speak. Thank you!
Thank you so much. It's nice to know these videos can help with teaching and learning. As a teacher myself, I know how challenging it can be to come with lesson content (especially over Zoom!)
Thnx 4 ur precious videos
Awesome!
Its great to see you back in action
Thank you for coming back and watching!
Great video! I read 'An Actor Prepares' years ago and it seemed clear and practical so far as I remember, but having someone explain the concepts to you is better still; because you're speaking from experience it makes more sense to me. What I also like is that you're assuming little or no prior experience and working from the ground up. That makes it really accessible to me. I've downloaded the resource and will check back next week to watch the exercises. Thanks for sharing this information.
You're very welcome. Thank you for watching and replying. 😀
Love love❤
Nice video! thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching. 😊

Excellent what is one simple line the famous Ali G said without realness we is nothing. Love the video
I’m going to do the practical part of my examination in literature and theater. That’s seems helpful.
Good luck!
Its great work please give and teach those exercises too

Hello. I am a High School Drama teacher here in the US. I am sure (like you) we are all undergoing a difficult time right now. Teaching acting remotely without being able to connect with my students has been difficult but I am enjoying the challenge. I was trained in Stanislavski method as a young theatre student many years ago. I've been searching for a clear/concise video to share with my students on Stanislavski methods. We have covered a lot of the work you speak about such as the actors instrument (his body) importance of good vocal technique/breathing techniques, do's and don'ts such as gesturing or theatre of representation (indicating sadness by frowning or anger with a grimace etc.) avoiding cliche's and allowing the physicality of a character to be dictated by internal factors and struggles AVOIDING representing or gesturing emotions. I really enjoyed your video and I would like to share with my students. Perhaps you might consider other videos geared toward teachers teaching Stanislavski remotely? Like the others who have commented below . . . I've read all 3 books but it's nice to have the "Stanislavski for Dummies" of "Stanislavski Cliff notes" version at our fingertips. LOL. Thanks for sharing!
Hello. Thank you for your lovely comment. It means a lot right now.
In terms of content for remote teaching, is there anything in particular you might find of use? For example, do you cover Brecht, Artaud or other practitioners? Or perhaps more on Stan? A lesson plan with resources?
It is an entry level class. I think it's best to stick with Stanislavski right now and not overload. (Especially since we are working REMOTELY ONLY.) And, . . . thanks AGAIN and STAY WELL!
Thanks for teaching us. I am from India.
You are very welcome. A question for you: did you use my subtitles and if so, did they help?
@@OrganicActing no, I can speak and understand english very well. But you're subtitles are helpful.
Thank you!
Hey this helped me a lot.. I wanna talk to you about acting..
It was good suggestions! I need a daily routine as an actor? What to exercise, how to practice? What an actor should do daily? Moreover!
Can you help me on that?
Great idea. I'll add a video soon!
@@OrganicActing Thank you very much!
Is it okay if I share this document link with my friends? We are actors in school, and we regularly go for competitions. I feel like it would be helpful for them as well, which is why I ask. I also know a lot of people who don't want others to share these things, which is why I felt the need to ask...Thanks a bunch!
Could you also do a few videos on Brecht and Grotowski? Thanks!
Of course you can share the document. (if you could direct them to my channel and subscribe that would be a big help 😉)
I have been thinking about a Brecht video as I'm sure there are a lot of people studying him. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
i'm trying to get into a drama/acting school but I'm only 13 turning 14, what advice would you think would help me... I'm aiming to be an actor near the age of 16/17. Hope to hear your response!! Loved your vid.
Are you studying acting at school? It's always a good idea to get some experience either through education or drama clubs. Therefore you have some grounding before applying to Drama school.
Thanks for watching! 😁
@@OrganicActingYes, its school and home learning at the moment but I'm sure i will achieve my goals if i get the right studies. Thanks for the video, it helped alot :)!
I'm from india❤
Is it theoretically possible for the best actors to play EVERY role? Or is there always a certain range within your own temparament (that can hardly be changed, right?) Within which a role can be played credibly?
Good question. Some actors play to 'type' some have more of a range. Some actors have made a great success of playing to type - look at Michael Caine! I would like to think all actors have a broad range if they work at their craft and given opportunities.
@@OrganicActing who would be an example for an actor, who can play a broad range of Characters?
The obvious choices are Daniel Day-Lewis and Gary Oldman. But have you tried Alec Guinness' early work with Ealing Studios? In 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' he plays nine characters!
Please suggest best book to understamd stanislavsky
Definitely 'An Actor Prepares' as a starting point.
Please define unit breaks
A unit break would be: the start of a new act or scene; when a character enters or exits; or when there is a severe change in the drama of the piece.
I’m here because of school
man i hope this aint a con conway
I see what you did there.
