Chinese steamed buns are a staple that can always be purchased at Japanese convenience stores. It's cheap, hot and tasty, so I used to buy it on my way home from school when I was in high school like them , so it's nostalgia... I think it was delicious, this episode was in April and it was cold.

Speaking of cosplay, Tanaka is 178 cm tall (around 5"10) if i'm not mistaken, isn't Ron about that height too? so it would be a good cosplay. Also, some people already mentioned it, but Takeda sensei (green tracksuit with glasses) has the same VA as Levi in AoT and yes, Takeda is a teacher, a japanese literature teacher if i recall correctly.

I think the tribe that you are talking about are the Raramurí (Tarahumara). They're from Chihuahua and are known for their long distance running and stamina. Their diet is mostly vegetarian. Many of them live in caves in the mountains far from the cities and running is a necessity for them (including the women).
just a heads up, i really thing you're gonna be loving ALL of the teams that are gonna be introduced in the show. haikyuu is a tv show where there's NO villain, all characters are liked/loved. can't wait for the next episodes!
