You'll often see many characters and teams have a backstory, being highlighted and also being presented as someone that can potentially win. That's just how Haikyuu is, it shows that everyone has a chance and, above all, none of them want to lose.
The problem is, the first sports anime they watched is Kuroko no Basket, which treats the other teams as "enemies." Haikyuu and other great sports anime don't really do that. So they have that mindset that you're supposed to dislike the opponent. But Haikyuu makes every opponent likeable in some way. It's mentioned numerous times in the manga, every team is the protagonist to themselves.
@@robertcampbell8070 Not really, Kuroko No Basket's whole theme was ideology's clashing. Every one of the GoM had their own way of playing and once Kuroko was able to get them to understand why some of them were miserable playing the way they were they all became best friends like they were in middle school again. In Haikyuu, no one is best friends from separate teams so we don't see that type of theme between friends battling it out.
@@kaodnewq8396 Sure, individual players, but I don't think the teams as a whole are presented that way, and typically they are still presented as "enemies" until after the game.
Wanting karasuno to win is good and all, but don't take away from the other teams almost trying to suppress feeling emotions for them or cheering for them. The beauty is that it isn't as simple as a hero and a villian fighting, it's much more than a white and black painting, there is so much to love from both sides. Aoba johsai is my favorite team so im a little biased lmao, but i want you guys to enjoy and feel the tension of wanting both teams to win, knowing both teams are doing their best.
I'll keep on commenting until the end in hopes that you guys will see it. Bonus clips at the end of season 2 and season 3. They are each like 6 minutes long. Really good and emotional. Please do check them out🧡🔥🙏
@@n.a3642 Ah! Just go on UA-cam itself. You can just type haikyu season 2 extra ending. It'll come. Same for season 3. Do tell me if you liked it. Turn on the cc tho. For captions.
at 8:40 why do you sound so offended? the OST isn't exclusively for any team, it's meant to highlight moments, so it's not just Karasuno's song, keep that in mind please (the only song that actually has an "owner" is the instrumental they play for Oikawa's serves). Also, as everyone in the comments is saying, it's 100% fine to cheer for the other team, the beauty in Haikyuu's storytelling is that noone is meant to be viewed as an enemy, they are just rivals that help you gain experience, you are not meant to hate the opposing team, in fact there's a lot of people in the fandom who's favorite team is not Karasuno, because all the characters have totally unique personalities and are likeable, of course you can still want Karasuno to win and cheer the other team's plays at the same time. And lastly, season 2 and 3 have aftermatch credit scenes, so please be sure to check those out, they were included in the recap movies, so you have to search for the clips on UA-cam, there was alsoa extra cut of the guys fixing the broom stick that Asahi broke and a Date Kogyo after match clip when they played against Aoba Johsai, but I guess it's too late to react to those, also the OVA Land vs Air (it has 2 parts) that takes place between s3 ans S4, so keep that one in mind too, thank you.
Can we just give credit to Yahaba? Mad Dog was first person Oikawa despite being so great couldn't keep Mad Dog under control and make him team player. Oikawa's talent to set to anyone doesn't include Mad Dog. Yahaba was the one who changed him not Oikawa. Without Yahaba Mad Dog would just run wherever he wants even if Oikawa was there. Props for Yahaba.
totally agree, and also, I'm not up to date to the manga so I don't know about how the teams will function next year, but I know Yahaba is a setter, so my thoughts are that maybe this was also done to put a base for Yahaba-Kyoutani (Mad Dog) interactions once they become third years, or at least I hope so
what’s best about haikyuu is that no team were created just to get beat up by the protagonist’s team, every team worked so hard to earn their win and some of us can even feel related to the opponent team.
DUDE CHILL! All teams are likeable, not just Karasuno but also the rest of the team are giving their all. So don't be mad just because they gave some character development to a certain character. You're like Mad dog more than Mad dog himself
8:40 you sound really offended over the ost playing for them? by now you should realize this ain't no kuroko basketball and this is more realistic with a healthy competitive relationships. There's no a single team or in Haikyuu that you see as a villian, just a bunch of normal high schoolers trying the best to win the volleyball matches.
what do you mean kuroko no basketball, sure kuroko no basketball had some villainous personalities but did you even watch Serin vs Kaijo (semi final). It felt like Kise was the main character. Kuroko also does a good job highlighting the opponent team.
@@helsi4300 Nah, Kuroko is like turning his teammates who have gone to the dark side back to normal... And their characters are too OP to be realistic. No matter what you say Haikyuu has given equal importance to all its characters. The mc need not win in Haikyuu but still it wouldn't matter. We can't have another team who is emotionless, that would be unrealistic and much less plessant to watch. They also have backstories, ambitions and struggles. Haikyuu is not like KnB which highschooler can pull up a move like NBA player every time they got the ball, this anime using like real comparison with real life, at pro level volleyball, every player can do everything and still maintain the team balance The only not normal thing in their move is kageyama's pin point toss to hinata

Since youre comparing it to kuroko no basuke, let me tell you one thing thats so obvious. I noticed it while im also watching hypekyuu first time. I guess its not a spoiler. In kuroko, they have summer inter high (lost) and winter cup (now at finals) In haikyuu, they have summer inter high (lost) and spring tournament (you know they wont lose, cmon!) Thats my basis while im watching until the end of s3, i kept believing 😂
Yep they are. Theyre the last boss. But im predicting this fight back in the day, refusing all reasons for them to lose 😂 that tournament comparison is what i held onto while watching. Hoping they get there where shiratorizawas at.
I dunno whether should I be pissed that you are getting offended when they highlight the other team. This is not Kuroko trash where everyone's just straight up toxic, dramatic as heck and act like a literal villain. This is real life, where both side are all just teenagers who trained to their hardest to faced off each other.
You should watch more realistic sport anime , like Slam Dunk or Eyeshield 21. Especial Slam Dunk , that is what the basketball should be, Kuroko is just a show using basketball to battle...... This is not One Piece, there is no villain in Haikyuu or Slam Dunk , come on man! I am very disappointed.
Kyoutani has like, Tsukki level development in just a few episodes and I really appreciate him. So. Much. It’s characters like him that make me love and feel connected to the Haikyuu universe aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I don't know if its okey or not for you guys to react othet than anime... But can you guys react to Top Spikes by Yuji Nishida... I want to see your reation on the real Japan Ace in volleyball... You guys can delete it after 2 or 3 days... I really want you to watch it... Thank you♥️♥️

もうちょっと相手チームも愛してほしいな。
烏野に勝ってほしいのはわかるけど、もっとリスペクトしてほしい。
わかる、ハイキューの相手チームは敵だけど悪役ではない。
Please react to Assassination Classroom!!!
And I also highly recommend to you guys to react to Charlotte
Can you react to Charlotte it's only 13 episodes
Since youre comparing it to kuroko no basuke, let me tell you one thing thats so obvious. I noticed it while im also watching hypekyuu first time. I guess its not a spoiler.
In kuroko, they have summer inter high (lost) and winter cup (now at finals)
In haikyuu, they have summer inter high (lost) and spring tournament (you know they wont lose, cmon!)
Thats my basis while im watching until the end of s3, i kept believing 😂
Nah I would say season 3 wasn't pretty unpredictable. I had no idea who would win, Shiratorizawa was extremely strong.
Yep they are. Theyre the last boss. But im predicting this fight back in the day, refusing all reasons for them to lose 😂 that tournament comparison is what i held onto while watching. Hoping they get there where shiratorizawas at.
you haven't seem s4 yet?
react to sword art online ep.12 and 13 plzz 🙏🙏
WHY DO THEY NOT REACT THE ANIMAL OPENINGS AND UPLOAD THE CHANNEL?
Mathias GONZALEZ MELGAREJO the openings have copyright.
Fix your english pls
@@condoriano4716 it's from the translator
Don't be mean guys not everyone will root for every team and that's okay (i say as im crying for the 28272th time over seijoh not going to national)
i finally catch up with you
Hey guys why don't u react to god of highschool crunchyroll original teaser?
I dunno whether should I be pissed that you are getting offended when they highlight the other team. This is not Kuroko trash where everyone's just straight up toxic, dramatic as heck and act like a literal villain. This is real life, where both side are all just teenagers who trained to their hardest to faced off each other.
Your lifespan getting shorter hahaha
Porfavor reaccionen al 24 hoy día también :(
The comment is too one side😂😂😂
Basically, this anime isn't have antagonis
You should watch more realistic sport anime , like Slam Dunk or Eyeshield 21.
Especial Slam Dunk , that is what the basketball should be, Kuroko is just a show using basketball to battle......
This is not One Piece, there is no villain in Haikyuu or Slam Dunk , come on man! I am very disappointed.

Any plan to check out Diamond no Ace? It's a really good baseball anime. Please check out Diamond no Ace! 😄
first!
Kyoutani has like, Tsukki level development in just a few episodes and I really appreciate him. So. Much.
It’s characters like him that make me love and feel connected to the Haikyuu universe aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
