Ever since I was a kid I imagined this album to be recorded around a camp fire in the jungle, it always scared the shit out of me, and I fucking loved it.
To the people wondering where Carlinhos Brown and David Silveria are, this is not the Roots recording sessions. It's a live/in studio performance for a TV show. They go into Kaiowas in the end, that isn't how it is on the album.
Roots: The best album in world!! They have done something, new and originally whith it. We can hear amazonia screamming in this album!!! No one has mixed metal like them!!! Sepultura forever!!!
I've never listen any song from Sepultura.This is the first time i heard them,and THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST FUCKING SONG I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Ilovegamegothic3 This was them playing on some TV show with some guy with an African percussion kit. This is not the album recording video. The album version had Carlhinos Brown and (then) KoRn drummer David Silveria as guests.
I havent heard any of the new Sepultura album, have not been much of a fan since Max and Igor left. Would be cool to see live thouhg, I bet they played mostly old stuff anyways hehe. Its crazy death angel is out touring again! Cavalera Conspiracy is pretty awesome, they take over where sepultura left off :)
That was a great band. They created a lot of good music and then destroyed it because of some misunderstandings. Those four heads had a huge vibes to make awesome music.
The most important thing is that YOU like it, my brother in metal! I'm not a fan of the album, but if you dig it; that's following your heart and ultimatly what metal is all about! Perhaps I'll give it another listen since it's been a long long time and see if I've been missing anything ;) PS: Sepultura and Death Angel came to town and put on a kick ass show last week. I felt 19 years old again XD
@Ilovegamegothic3 it means that this not the real recording session, when they played here the album (Roots) was already released, they just did visit this studio to jam&record this version of ratamahatta since they were touring the netherlands
Probably because Korn stole their style from this album, Johnathan Davis actually was on this Sepultura album. I dont think it sounds anything like korn except for the groove they stole, its all tribal to me. I definitely can see how people dont dig it, but it is truly something different and in my opinion pure genius, I can turn that album up to 11 and sing along to every song even in portuguese :) "CUT THROAT"
