One thing about Arsene Wenger was his class and style of play. He brought a different level to the Prem than the other managers. He made Arsenal attractive and inspiring. If you like “ball” you like Wenger.
It's easy to disregard that decade of Wenger's without silverware, but at the same time he maintained Arsenal's position as a Top 4 club. That alone is a difficult task, consistency over time is the most difficult achievement of all, which is why SAF is rated so highly. Just look at Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal over recent years and how they've yoyoed up and down the table. This is also a fact I think counts against Pep slightly. The competition at the top of the table hasn't been as consistent. SAF always had a main challenger, but the other top clubs were usually always dangerous as well. During Pep's time, he's generally only really had one challenger (first Liverpool, then Arsenal... maybe now both) while half of the other big clubs have been floundering.
One thing they didn't mention about Wenger which I think is worthy of a mention is that after the FA cup against united in 05, Arsenal underwent a HUGE change and became more or less a completely different team at 06-07. We can see now with United and Chelsea how hard it is to build a winning team. So Arsenal underwent huge changes and had to rebuild, at the same time they moved to Emirates and was in debt, and if that wasn't enough, Chelsea was coming big with lots of money...few years later City came in with huge money. Arsenal were in a position were they literally couldn't complete with 3 money giants, while being in debt and had to rebuild the entire team. It might sound extreme "10 year without a title", but given all the circumstances I would say it would almost be impossible for Wenger to win a PL.

Sir Alex Pep Wenger Klopp Mourinho If we discredit Wenger for years he didnt win anything, we have to consider Mourinho's failings as well. Also, Klopp will jump past Wenger if he can show he can rebuild Liverpool to win the PL or UCL.
Ferguson still the best....its not the longevity only but the fact he broke up and rebuilt several teams and still won. Pep has done this as well but not as many times.
Love how people like to just blatantly lie about uniteds success under SAF being money based when most of his key players were academy products and then when he won trophies he invested the money into replacements for aging players
1. Give over! Moyes? Even saying he was at small clubs, the man managed united and tanked. So not even worthy of the mention. 2. Pep has only won when he spent so much money it was a cheat code. He is top quality but has never proved it because with those teams? Hell anyone could have won trophies. 3. Jose? See above. I'm not going to argue that he was the best, but this was so disrespectful to Wenger. Longevity is underrated. Also as they said, within context, pound for pound AW is arguably on par or over SAF. He did it on a shoestring budget. Even if we rated the best managers purely on titles won - league, FA, CL,.. you'd have: SAF, AW, Pep, Mourinho and then Klopp. But, rating a manager is more than that: you're managing more than just a team. On that basis also: AW is probably only second to SAF

The only thing I would change. Is swapping Klopp and Wenger. @@JAM-hg4mp Being a Man Utd fan I hate Liverpool with a passion, so it would be easy to put Klopp at 5th out of bias. Pep is greatest coach & Wenger is the greatest manager. To be greatest manager one should have massive contributions outside the field. Wenger changer football culture & built Arsenal. Most of them excelled in a club & stadium already built.
Fergie completely rebuilt United into a global force. Before him we last won a league title in 66/67, we were relegated in 73/74 and promoted the next season. At the start of his United career we were 11th, 2nd,11th and 13th. He was nearly sacked. He then made them the dominant force for a decade. Won a treble and never had a drought anything like Wenger. Wenger was playing Europa in his 22nd season, whats your point, there is far more competition nowadays, there is a "big 6" which wasn't a thing back in Wengers early days, and even Newcastle who are an oil club now as well. In fact, Klopp's arrival was the beginning of the end for Wenger, Klopp's first full season 16/17 was when Wenger ended up finishing outside of the top 4 and same thing happened the following season. Klopp got to 3 UCL finals within 5 years, Wenger had 1 UCL final in his entire career. Wenger's highest point tally was 90, Klopp had 3 seasons that were better than that. Wenger was great but chill with the Klopp disrespect.
Think you’re being harsh placing Klopp last, 3 x 90+ pts finishes, 6 major trophies, 4 European finals in 7 years!! With a minimal budget. You failed to mention the toxicity that Wenger and Jose brought to their clubs. When half your fan base wants you sacked, that surely undermines one’s credibility as the greatest pl manager of all time. However if you’re basing the list solely off premier league titles won, then the order is correct.
Pep is a fantastic tactician; when he has a ready made team to work with and deep pockets to reach into when needed. He hasn't faced the same level of competition that Mourinho, Wenger and SAF faced during their eras. Klopp just edges it over him for me, despite Peps incredible achievements, purely and simply for the fact that Klopp had to struggle and fight to bring Liverpool out of the depths himself and restore the great culture that they had lost over the years preceding his arrival. Pep has never had to do that in his career. Realistically, SAF is the only true choice for best manager in EPL history. The culture he instilled in the club, the rivalry with Wenger, the way he forced the league and other teams to adapt to his way of football time and time again, the trophies and accolades, the amount of world class players he brought to the team. All of it. The Godfather of EPL management, second only in history to Cruyff.

Left with the team in bad shape and personaly recommended Moyes! KLOPP - Pushed CITY all the way in several seasons and after watching a vid of atrocious VAR decisions against them, would have won more titles, especially in those 2 seasons that lost it by 1pt. A team that the World spoke about. Building a team to be champions again soon. MAUREENIHO - Achieved some big stats seasons, but had some anti-football teams too. 3rd season burnout of him/players. Even Wenger himself claims keeping Arsenal top 4 after moving to Emirates is a greater achievement in his career than the invincibles. Hope that puts the struggles at the club in perspective
Fergie
Pep
Mourinho
Wenger

Honourable Mention Ranieri for the best achievement for an individual season.
1. Alex Ferguson
2. Pep Guardiola
3. Jose Mourinho
4. Arsene Wenger
5. Jurgen Flopp
Funny isn't it how they are picking the best managers, and the top three happen to be the clubs they support! 🤔😂
9:05 They got ‘5’ points more than the invincible side 🤦🏾♂️
The same side that went 49 games unbeaten (not just the 38 game league season), something no one has even come close to achieving
SAF, Pep, Wenger, Klop and Jose. In that order.
Wenger and Klopp over Jose 😂😂😂😂. Do you actually watch football or you just here for comment?
@@dawitkbreab2924 Wenger changed football and got arsenal top 4 for like 20 consecutive years. Klop took a terrible Liverpool team to a premier league and champions league consecutively. Jose had a few good years at a Chelsea team that outspent the rest of the league. He got shown up by pep in Spain, did terrible at United, atrocious at spurs and just as bad his second time at Chelsea
100% agree green eagle, how convenient they choose their own managers. Let’s be honest with the exception of Ferguson, who was undeniably and annoyingly amazing😂 and brought scum U from nothing to turning the tide against a phenomenal Liverpool era! Wenger and kloop hands down. What kloop has done to rival Man City with all their ridiculous wealth and bribery to the right people in FFP is astonishing. They say only 1 prem title in any other time we would have 4 the points tally he has accumulated is scary and to do it with a fraction of the money of 3 of these managers, and don’t forget all bar a courtois masterclass another champs league most 1 sided game I’ve ever seen in my life btw. And a crumble from Aston Villa late on, your talking an unprecedented historical quadruple absolutely unbelievable! Has to go down as the best £4£ manager ever, not even a debate #LEGEND
Disrespecting the invincibles is criminal
Think Klopp just ahead of Wenger, only cos of the final vs Spurs. But yeah Wenger great era, so yeah for me- Fergie, Pep, Jose, Klopp, Wenger. But I mean after Fergie and yes Pep now he's done the treble, and yes those three titles in a row now. Cos of that not a heap between those last three. But Klopp does have the Champions League as an LFC fan, that's probably up there with my best moment. As a football fan when Origi stuck it in with his left foot

If we discredit Wenger for years he didnt win anything, we have to consider Mourinho's failings as well.
Also, Klopp will jump past Wenger if he can show he can rebuild Liverpool to win the PL or UCL.

2. Sir Alex
3. Guardiola
4. Wenger
5. Jose
6. Klopp
I would say Carlo but he didnt have enough of a run. Only 2 years with Chelsea and than 2 years in Everton.

Huge gap
2. Pep
Huge gap
3. Wenger
4. Mourinho
5. Klopp
There is no gap between Ferguson and Pep don't be silly, in fact Pep is better.
Cherry picked morinhos best years and ignored his worst, and only highlighted wengers worst moments.
Embarrasing
Ferguson still the best....its not the longevity only but the fact he broke up and rebuilt several teams and still won. Pep has done this as well but not as many times.
Pep has to be number 1. He defeated Sir Alex TWICE in the champions league final.
In terms of all football
1. Ferguson
2. Guardiola
3. Mourinho
4. Klopp
5. Wenger

Wenger

Love how people like to just blatantly lie about uniteds success under SAF being money based when most of his key players were academy products and then when he won trophies he invested the money into replacements for aging players
the moment Rory says line in the sand with Mourinho i know i am am going to skip forward. How many times can one listen to the same exact words!!!
Wenger went 9 years without a trophy, not a decade. It’s only a small thing, but if you’re gonna use that as an argument, at least be correct.
1 Ferguson
2 Pep
3 Wenger
4 Klopp
5 Mourinho
1. Give over! Moyes? Even saying he was at small clubs, the man managed united and tanked. So not even worthy of the mention.
2. Pep has only won when he spent so much money it was a cheat code. He is top quality but has never proved it because with those teams? Hell anyone could have won trophies.
3. Jose? See above. Plus he tarmished his legacy with what he did at spurs, united and even chelsea second time.
Top five:
1. Fergie.
2. Wenger
3. Klopp
4. Jose
5. Pep.
Still running this narrative about pep in 2023 smh
@@torkechb04They keep deceiving themselves.
Wenger disrespect is pretty boring now. Yes i wouldn’t say he’s the best manager ever but we act like what Wenger did was normal
I'm not going to argue that he was the best, but this was so disrespectful to Wenger. The Chelsea fan waxes lyrical about Mourinho's best 3 years and ignores the worst, and then the group proceeds to talk about Wenger's worst years and ignores the best. All thats said about Wenger is "yeah the Invincibles were good, but everyone else is better".
This list imo is objectively correct right now. But by the end of his career Pep will be the best manager the league has ever seen
If he wins 14 prem titles
@@charliehopkins7862 I will caveat and say I probably do agree with this. But my one issue is will he stay in the league long enough? Probably not. He's definitely capable of it though.
Ferguson was 1 point, and on another year goal difference away from winning 7 in a row.
11:38 I think that's down to performance enhancers 😂

1. Fergie 2. Pep 3. Wenger 4. Mourinho 5. Klopp
So are we not taking into consideration the fact Wenger & Klopp managed clubs with a lot less financial backing
Wenger 2nd behind Ferguson
Top 5 is easy.
SAF - Pep - Mourinho - Wenger - Klopp. Next
What about Arsenal manager Graham
Wenger was a coach for 34 years and didn't win one European trophy.
Almost as if this is on Premier League success mate
Mourinho didn't win a UCL with an English club either, in fact he failed to reach the final.
SAF, Pep, Arsene, Jose, Klopp for me
Fittest side on the list, what an achievement.
Ancelotti has accomplished more than any of these managers BTW.
Yeah 5 league titles and 5 ucls is bigger than 11 leagues 3 ucls and 13 leagues and 2 ucls sure 😂👍 5 league titles with ac Milan juve Chelsea psg real madrid Bayern is horrible 😂 imagine managing those clubs for 21 seasons and having just 5 league titles

End of discussion.
Despite what Wenger won. He achieved top 4 for 20+ years and went unbeaten in a season. Change my mind.

The legend Tony Pulis should be here
Longevity is underrated.
On that basis also: AW is probably only second to SAF
completely agree, bias aside. wenger revolutionised english football. the first foreign manger to win a league title. the invincibles, the amount of fa cups, longevity he had in the league. 3 premier leagues against the best manager the world has ever seen. has to be second to sir alex
At last something Utd fans can pull out even in another 20 yrs from now! 'we've had the best manager ever!'..... very sad that this is the last thing they can cling on to!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
How is Wenger over Pep on titles won?
Best manager is Pep, not Ferguson.
Neither Ferguson or Wenger would win against Pep, he's a master at winning league titles@@JuppyJuupp
@@JAM-hg4mp he completely revolutionised the premier league. Without Wenger pep most likely wouldn’t of even came to the prem
So Mourinho only managed Chelsea? You guys spoke more about his time in another league than what happened at Spurs and United😂
Buvey quickly becoming the best UA-cam football pundit
The only thing I would change. Is swapping Klopp and Wenger.
I think Wenger going ten years without a trophy, combined with the way how Wengers managerial career ended... a large amount of Arsenal supporters wanting Wenger out... Some even going as far as to protesting, somewhat tarnishes his legacy for me.
Bullshit. Revolutionised the league, fact. You're enjoying what you're seeing now cos of him.
I think as a manager Klopp isn't any worse than Wenger, but Wenger has more titles so he has to be above.
@@JAM-hg4mp Being a Man Utd fan I hate Liverpool with a passion, so it would be easy to put Klopp at 5th out of bias. However, being objective, my reasons for putting Klopp 4th is more due to how sour the ending was for Wenger.
Another thing no one mentions is that Wenger has been at Arsenal for what? 22 years and has only won 3 league titles and 0 UCLs. How long have you had Klopp for? 7 years? In that time frame he's won the UCL and won you lot your first league in 30+ years.
@-_-DatDude Tbh, if it was all football I would go Klopp over Wenger. Easy to forget he's made 4 CL finals and twice beat Bayern to Bundesliga, not to mention eventually ending Liverpool's drought.
@@-_-DatDude 7 years and 1 title and 1 UCL isn't a whole lot better than Wenger's 22 if ratios are to go by
Who would’ve guessed they put their managers ahead of the others that had no one to argue for them
If it’s overall throughout their careers it’s mourinho 100%better than wenger but if it’s just prem it has to be wenger let’s not forget that mourinho got sacked by 3 prem clubs out of the big 6 a feat never achieved before ,he finished 10th with a title winning team ,spent loads with united ,Chelsea only wenger and klopp here achieved without spending much
Overall careers mourinho ain't top 2
That's pep or SAF
And don't even talk about the money spent cuz mourinho spent a lot at Chelsea and spent a lot in man United
@@BiggestBirdonMars I never said he ‘s top 2 I said he is better than wenger if it’s overall career for me the top 2 is sir Alex and cryuff then comes ancelloti and then pep very close
His lowest finish in the premier League era was 3rd. Wenger is not even close to Fergie
It's Fergie pep 3rd Wenger Jose
But for me it's Fergie Jose pep Wenger
Who else is sick to death of hearing about Super fucking 6???

Who gets 6th spot? Carlo? Conte? Pellegrini? Moyes?
Why Moyes, Ranieri before him.
Moyes flopped at United.

Where’s big Sam?
saying about decade without silverware.... lets look at the amount of money spent by united + chelsea and then city from the time arsenal built the new stadium and then you can reargue it...
Klopp playing Europa in his 7th season lmao, Wenger would never would 1/10th of the funds
@@JAM-hg4mp 22nd season compared to 7th….
Klopp actually won a champions league, Wenger didn't
Was it rated by PL's won? If so how could Pep compete with Fergie when he has only been there for 1/3 of Fergie's time?
How can it be by Premier Leagues won? It wouldn't be a fair comparison due to time like you said.

Minimal budget hahahaha world most expensive cb and gk at the time
Pep is a fantastic tactician; when he has a ready made team to work with and deep pockets to reach into when needed.
Yes that great Man U culture that has endured after he left. Also all the coaches that fergie inspired. His dominance of Europe with 2 CL during his 27 years, Fergieball should be studied. English refs feared him...Fergie time
@@LionKingMCFCNonsense, Ole is exactly Fergie tactically without the player management skills.

Mourinho was great when he arrived, but, his failures were so bad it was ridiculous, he let his ego take over.
PEP - GOAT! People talk about a big spender, teams need to spend big to win, (Real/Barca) but others have spent huge too and still can't get close to him.
Team changers like Allyson, VVD, Rice cost big!
FERGIE - Got to factor in MU was the only one with big money during his dominant times, when others got $$$'s too, their Dominance ended.
His drama's were utterly toxic!
WENGER - Didn't ever retain the title but we were on a never ending end of 'horrid' REF decisions always in MU's favour. He even called one 'dishonest' on the sideline, which was picked up by the microphone. He was banned.fined but 'interestingly' never sued for slander.
His reign was in 2 contrasting parts. Brilliant 1st, plucking gems like he was stood under a short apple tree, but 2nd part, was as if he had glasses made from those Circus mirrors that alter your shape, becoming the 'Shallow Al' of a manager when recruiting
Stayed on far too long that tainted his legacy.
No top team has lost so big to rivals, getting hit for 8, 6's, 5's. Refused to get a capable CDM for 10yrs.
Klopp is great but for now has to be 5th due only one league title, he's not any worse than Wenger and Mourinho though I agree.
