Just watched both videos in full. Admittedly initially, my understanding of pitch looping was weak and I had no idea how far it could go. The freezing and looping and even serial instances is pretty fucking crazy. Great videos and now I totally have an appreciation for how powerful pitchloop is.

After watching parts 1 and 2, I can see another composition being created this weekend using PitchLoop89. Great to listen to this inspiring video from a cofounder of Ableton Live.

Towards the beginning of the talk, Robert is talking about the process of discovery through experimentation, which is of importance in any sound design process to an extent. The act of accepting an accidental discovery as useful is one thing ( I will know what I want when I find it), the hangover from the 70s / early 80s is the need to get back to something we found and the storage of a preset in order to go back and use it. We would need to save the whole experimental set up (carrier /processor/midi feed channels) to get a certain product. Alternatively, record into an adjacent channel and sample from there.
Loved the Cuckoo clock drone btw❤

I love running my Roland CR78 through FX like these.... created some great 'Metamatic' rhythm beds running it through an MXR150.
