Also, wanted to say that you do a great job of showing each card clearly (you'd be amazed how many channels do not do that), and I also think your opinion of each card is well-thought out. I watched one channel where the host called nearly every single card "badass." It got so tiring to listen to. These cards deserve a more nuanced appreciation, and you've done that here, so congrats.
I found my book of comic cards at my parents earlier this year and started finishing sets I never completed as a kid. My favorite set was 1994 Flair Marvel Annual
The battle cards are sick, especially the wolverine battle, the hulk vs ....? Lol forgot who he was fighting..I loved the version of sabertooth, kingpin, red skull, cyclops, thor, captain America.....so many in the set are so sick...great job Joe
my friend in 8th grade collected these from the local comic shop in lancaster. we also used to walk to a arcade in the same strip mall and whoop peoples asses in SF 2.
This was so good! I can smell the cards just watching... By 1992 I was full in on collecting Hockey cards (???) and don't remember these. My Marvel cards were the ones with the power levels (1990?) and I'd love to find those again...a lot of what I think I know about certain characters came from them. #butts
@@CollectingPlastic That's the ticket! Loved those...I'm pretty sure I made my own cards too, for the characters and stories I would make up and play out. All about those power ratings! Also. Your bird scared the crap out of me... 🤬😅
The power ratings was the best idea, it was my favorite part of the card too. They were always so accurate until it was your favorite character and then you'd think it was underpowered haha She scared me too. Like just out of nowhere with a scream... Shut me right up.
Hi - did you get any of these graded? I just got a box of these and there looks to be an almost grease like coating on the cards after pulling them off each other. Any thoughts? They look great other than that, is it normal?
I did not, but if you look close mine were sticking together a bit and have some "spots". I think it's from the gloss they used at the time breaking down a bit because these cards are about 3 decades old.
The artwork is cool, but definitely of the 90s. These days, the standard of artwork you see is vastly higher. Even Twitch streamers or UA-camrs produce a much higher standard these days.
It's not easy coming up with so many creative poses for these characters. The artists did such a great job.
I love how you started it off "what's up nerds." I'm like damn, this dude is right

Best set Marvel ever made. I stocked up a long time ago lol
Best. Ever.
Fact.

This was one of the best comic cards series of all time really
Still love them, used to buy them when I was a young
Stoked! Thanks
Dude! Opening that pack brings me back! Ahhh i want to buy some unopened packs now
Haha it was a blast to open these. Never in a million years when I was a kid did I ever think I'd get to open a whole box!
Thanks, I've now collated a list of cards to buy with money I didn't plan to spend haha
Wonder Man is a super hero. His eyes just have that glow which I think he can turn his whole body into that color.
Cool intro that tunes gona be stuck in my head all day now 🤪👍
it's chill bill btw

I think you're talking about the marvel universe cards. Series 1, 2 and 3 I collected too.

I’d love to find a case of these somewhere!
If you want to see Speedball in an amazing story, Civil War. His and the team he is part of The New Warriors play a pivotal role in the comics.

Do your cards have a gloss/shine. On the video they look dull. The cards I’ve kept from my childhood still have a gloss/shine to them.
I think this could effect grading and resale value . Greatly appreciate your effort and love for the art/hobby.
Peace 🕉.
I totally agree with the Mojo love. Cool looking villain and cool idea for an Xmen like first or 2nd half the mòvie.
If you haven't seen the 1994 ones... they are the shit! Art done by the hildebrandt brothers.
they are pretty cool too. I just have a more personal connection to this series.
Agree 1994 flair marvel annual was awesome
I paid $5 per pack for 5 packs back in 1994 because I had a $35 check from my birthday. I may have overpaid as you couldn't price check as a kid.
Packs were $5 each here
Yeah, I bought them in 1992 (well, kind enough adults did), and I remember them priced more in the $5 region.
i remember all these
It was nostalgia overload opening these
I'm 36 and remember the first time I saw each of these cards come out of a pack. Shivers.
A weapon x movie would be amazing!
First pack only had 5 cards
there was a colossus stuck behind the adam warlock
19:01 lol
I have the same insert , captain America what’s it worth $$$ ?

90s art is better than today’s art
Totally subjective
It’s funny most of these cards he don’t know u can find the character in the 90 s Spider-Man show
The rappers had different cover art save the rapper and the display box
