sounds like a slip-on is your upgrade of choice in that case? Thats what I have to do as well, can only use upgraded exhausts on track, even though most people still swap out for a full exhaust, I like to obey the law however. Last I thing I need is a ticket, I live in a small town so it would indeed be loud and annoying.
Really great sound, very easy installation. Hardest thing was aligning it the way I wanted it. There's an exhaust cutter you can rent from autozone. It only took me 30 seconds to cut through the pipe with it. Definitely recommend using that. Made it less than an hour from start to finish.
Recently bought this product and I CANNOT stress how much fun and joy it brings me. What a way to elevate your ride! Best purchase I have made in a very long time. Thanks STG
Bought the M4 and installed while watching the video. Thanks for all the clear instruction and pointers! I really like the sound of the M4 on my R3 with the baffle in place.
ive watched a video on a 600 class bike build for the patreon builds and he did several dyno test on the bike. the dyno actually showed it had like .4 MORE hsp with the DB killer installed.
Had an opportunity to hear this exhaust in person today. Sounds much better in person than on laptop speakers. Needless to say my Graves slip on will be going away next week.
Just got my M4 for my 21 R3 from STG. The video doesn’t even do this exhaust sound justice. It’s awesome. STG is awesome and it shipped quick. Thanks guys!
Definitely gave me the confidence to install it myself. I literally just spoke with a mechanic and he said he will charge me in labor, $275. (3 hours of labor). Hell no!! I’m just going to save money and time and just knock this out myself. Thank you!!!
Just got excited by only watching this and still, not even owning an R3. I will next summer, and this exhaust sounds incredible. Great video, great instructions, great job!! Subbed and will be watching many many more videos from you. Thank you.
Took me an hour to install it myself following these instruction. Definitely not legal in Montreal but I'm feeling safer that car drivers can hear me coming now. The stock exaust is like a silent fart, you can't even hear the bike even if it's in your blind spot. Best sounding exaust on a R3 in my opinion!
Hey, I also live in Montreal and wondered if this gets to much attention with the cops. Only reason why I’m still having this debate of buying the m4 or just a usual slip on.
Just got the M4 for my 2016 R3 and my god in person it sounds amazing! Time for tuning but also, had to throw on the STG stickers on the bike. Thanks a ton
Just installed and wanted to mention if you have the stock rear sets on you're going to want to remove the bolts to access the 12mm fastener holding the stock exhaust. Very difficult even with a swivel head to grab hold of the fastner without removing the rear set.
this was awesome instructions. I am a new rider and this is the first 250cc to 300cc that actually like the sound plus the look. can't wait until I get an r3. thanx
Just a warning to anyone in Australia. If you have a 2022 and above Yamaha R3, your exhaust will be different from the one shown in this video. Hi, do I have to make any other modification about the gas consumption? or the only thing I need to worry about after taking the cat off is the emissions? Thanks for your answer.
No you do not have to add a fuel controller or flash the ECU. You can do this later if you would like to get that last little bit of performance out of the bike. We have not done any of this to our R3 and it runs great IMO. You will be removing the cat which is modifying the emissions system. - Van
What made you guys switch from the Akrapovic GP slip-on to the M4? I just bought an R3 and am trying to decide which to go with. I'm looking at the Akra GP and the M4. I like the look and sound of the M4 but am worried about modifying the headers and potentially requiring a remap down the line. I like the low price and clean look of the Akra GP but am worried the sound won't change enough from stock. Thoughts? Also, thanks for making these videos. Its great to have a compilation of user-friendly videos to help walk people through the upgrade and maintenance process on their bike. Really appreciate it!
+Sportbike Track Gear Thanks! Does this significantly effect the fueling? I don't really want to do a remap and it looks like one might be required down the road with the M4 exhaust, so I am going to stay away if thats the case. If it won't matter then I might go with the M4.
OK, once again awesome video. I have a question. So, I recently bought Yoshimura Y series [R3} slip-on. The sound has improved a bit, but the catalytic system is still there. What is my option to how I can remove the cat and replace it with a mid-pipe. I understand that it would require but where can I get the mid-pipe to connect the missing area to the slip-on? Thanks!
I'm planning to get a r3 within 2 weeks, I'm considering this exhaust since this is the best one I seen so far, just in case I put this exhaust, is it really necessary to do a remapping? if so how long I can just leave it like that, with the matter of how many months or year? or milage? I'm new to motorcycle world! thanks in advance!!
Thanks Brian I already received my M4 and I already installed it and it sounds amazing big difference. Do I now need to do some kind of tune to it due to the exhaust or I could leave it the way it is? And also do I need to do any maintenance for the carbon fiber to stay good looking for a long time?
+joserubenvega Adding a tuner is not a bad idea. For the R3 you could install a Bazzaz Z-Fi to handle this. www.sportbiketrackgear.com/bazzaz-yamaha-yzf-r3-2015-z-fi-fuel-control-unit/ As far as the canister goes do not use harsh cleaners and it should be repacked at some point. You can typically get about 3 years depending on how much you ride. For this you can send it off to M4 in the off season. - Van
Great video ! really enjoyed it and will be watching again to install my own very shortly! just a few questions though. 1) Does applying this exhaust effectively ruin the stock exhaust? or can it be remounted if desired for reselling as an example? 2) As well, after this exhaust is installed, is they're any retuning or fuel remapping required or is the bike ready to run right away because it is only a slip on? thanks !!
Really wish I would've seen this video before I put my Akrapovic Carbon Slip-On exhaust back in the summer! Good lord that sounds incredible with the db killer out! May just have to get this and see if I can sell the Akra. Great video as always guys!
This is our best selling slip on for the R3 because it looks cool, the price is right and it eliminates the CAT. Cutting the pipe is super easy to do man, all you need is a hack saw. - Van
+Arturo Duran I went back to the db killer straight away. Have been riding it around town quite a bit with this system on and like it a lot. Looks great, sounds cool and the price is right! - Van
Technically the answer is yes. That said I have still not installed one on my own R3. Bike runs great, zero issues. If you want to really extract all of the power and performance then it is a good idea to use a controller or a flash tune. You can do that down the road if you decide to do so. Thanks for watching! - Van
Sounds absolutely better without the killer in it, btw would an M4 cat delete be a good setup for my 05 R6 for the best flow or would a different one be better?
Bought mine a couple months ago, installed it on my 2021 r3 was wondering do you need a tune for the bike since I cut off the catalytic converter? Like is it needed or is it just better to have a tune?
Sportbike Track Gear oh nice! I'll be looking out for it then. I do have a R3 it's a 2017 it's Matte Black with red stripes. Yeah, the slip on sounds awesome, can't wait to hear how an whole system sounds like.
+Sportbike Track Gear Great Video but why buy it when can edit the video of you removing the stock exhaust on to a video of you installing a different system.
No you do not have to install the block off plates or tune the bike. We rode ours a ton with this system on the bike before we installed a Power Commander. - Van
Thank you for watching! Nope, we did not need to re-map or anything of the sort. The bike is still without a re-map or fuel controller and it runs great!
Nope, the bikes is used basically only on the street and it runs well without a new MAP. In the future we will probably throw a control unit on there but no worries for now :)
I do not believe there are any aftermarket muffler boxes available. If you want to be street legal all you can do is a slip on that replaces the OEM muffler and leaves the muffler box in place. - Van
Hey Brian, I had a question hopefully you can answer it well actually two. So far which is your personal favorite exhaust for the your R3? I'm looking into getting the M4 street slayer it has a very nice sound but obviously your able to hear them in person which I'm sure sounds even better, I think it has a very racy sound. And my other question is Can anything happen to the bike on the long run for not having a catalytic converter? Would the bike mess up or would there be any negative side affects. Sorry is just this is my first bike and I don't really know much Thanks in advance
+Sportbike Track Gear Thanks for getting back to me so quick Brian. I placed an order just now for the M4 street slayer for my R3 can't wait to get it now thanks a lot. Keep up the videos coming on the R3 ;)
Hi, STG. I'm from the Philippines and the law states that any slip on should not exceed 115 dBs. What's the average sound frequency of this slip on at max rpm and at 8k rpm in decibels?
i love this bike so much........ ill be the rider of one of these babies for my first bike.the Akrapovic Slip on Exhaust seems like the best/affordable option.
Hey bro how would I get a stuck db killer screw out? Rode the bike for 10 minutes with it in and then tried to remove it while hot but it's been stuck badly ever since :(
You may need to remove the muffler and tap on the quiet insert from the muffler inlet to drive it out. Once you get it moving you should be good to go. - Van
Great video. One of the best channels of youtube! Hi i want to ask some qustion. Does adding this slip on will have any effects on the engine in the long run? Often reving the bike and riding the bike in high speeds on the track. Will these cause any problems to the bike and the exhaust?
Hello! Bikes were made to operate under race circumstances so you can still absolutely count on great performance after riding for a good amount of time on the track. The slip-on won't do any damage to your bike, for peak performance you will want to make sure to pick up a power commander!
+Sportbike Track Gear Thank you for the info !! I have a 2015 r1 but wanted a smaller bike for daily commute and some potential to do little bit on track too. Your video helped me alot. Watching your review on the r3 made my decision to purchase one. :) love your videos.
Question sir, does changing this kind of full system would affect the power performance of the R3 ? cuz someone told me that whenever i change into fullsystem, i should run a dyno tune on it. Honestly here in my place we dont have yet any dyno expert. Thanks for your response.
Hello STG, did you ever map the YZF R3 after or before installing the exhaust system? I might get one of these but need to know what else to change before I can actually use the exhaust without further problems.
No I have not mapped the bike and it runs fine. My Son Max just rode the bike for his first track day last weekend, zero issues. To get the max benefit a tune will be needed at some point if you want all the power. - Van
Hey van, so I received my M4 exhaust and I installed it. Went very well thank to your vid. One question, will I be able to pass inspection with this? ;P
+Sportbike Track Gear I recently installed the m4 slip on on my R3 and was wondering if the high revs into a decelleration/throttle off backfire/popping is normal or do i have a exhaust leak. I don't feel any air pulses when i do a search only heat coming from the headers where the flange is. Much appreciated for a relpy thanks Van - Daniel
+Dstuntin101 That would be normal. Installing the smog block off plate will help reduce it, I have that on my R3 and it made a difference for sure. Does not sound like you have a leak. - Van
I just got this same one off your website yesterday and had it on for a full day now and it's pretty cool I've noticed around 9k rpm when I shift it shoots out a 6 inch blue flame haha did yours do the same?
+Rene Cisneros Not sure if it did or does, end of the day that is pretty normal and would indicate perhaps you need to do the Smog Block Off plate or a fuel controller if you want to prevent it. - Van
You can install this and run it as is with no issues at all. We ran our bike for quite sometime with this system and never mapped or installed a fuel controller on it. Zero issues. - Van
I know this question comes a bit late, but how was the sound when riding without the silencer? was it a bit uncomfortable (loud) at higher RPMs? did the idle get to you? when getting after it, would the exhaust pop little fireballs? (please say yes to them fireballs!) Let us know!
I honestly put the baffle in and have been rocking that ever since! Really never get sick of hearing the bike, it is just nice to have some sound when riding!
Hey Van, I noticed with my R3 M4 slip on install has increased handlebar vibrations, not severe but noticeable, what would you do to solve this issue. eg Bar end weights (what size would it be and would it change if i have a R6 throttle tube?
Hey Brian, I'm keen to do this to my R3 except I have an Akrapovic slip on. Do you know what diameter and length pipe I'd need to connect the muffler to the header pipe after removing the cat? Cheers, Nate.
If you want to do this with the Akra it will be a bit of a project but you can get it done. I do not know the diameter but you can easily measure that after you make the cut. Personally I would just go with the M4 slip on. This will get you a better end result and save you a ton of time. - Van
The butt dyno felt there was an increase in power for sure. All of the full systems or cat deletes we installed on this bike delivered a noticeable difference in performance when you rode the bike as compared to stock. This system is our best seller for the R3. - Van
Van in the video your said they have a quieter one available. I like the look but I’m not sure if it’s legal. What I the quitter one called. Thanks 🙏🏾 for a response!
This is our number one selling slip on for the Yamaha R3, that said I am sure most all of them are used on the street. End of the day we tell riders that is a choice they need to make for themselves as they are responsible for their own actions. If you want a street legal slip on that is quieter take a look at the Akrapovic slip on for the R3. The one in this link is street legal and much quieter than the M4 street slayer. www.sportbiketrackgear.com/akrapovic-yamaha-yzf-r3-15-17-stainless-steel-slip-on-exhaust/ - Van
I was thinking about the Akrapovic full GP system. But now seeing this that has changed. half the money and sounds awesome. Also looking in to a new rear shock any suggestions?
+5Foot10Yamaha Ohlins all the way! That is what I picked and I have loved every second with it. I actually run this system with the optional Akra headers now. Works great! Thanks for watching.
No you do not have to tune the bike to install this. In order to get the maximum performance benefits from the system you would need to install a fuel controller or flash the ECU at some point. I would recommend riding it first to see how you like the change. - Van
hey van, so I have the r3 I'm gonna buy this slip on and the power commander as well. But which one should I get ? it's for a 2016 model. also what air filter would you recommend? thanks. give me the best there is please. (for this bike)
I would go with the Bazzaz, prefer their's to Power Commander. For the filter BMC does a nice job. www.sportbiketrackgear.com/bmc-air-filter-yamaha-yzf-r3-15-17/ www.sportbiketrackgear.com/bazzaz-yamaha-yzf-r3-15-17-z-fi-fuel-control-unit/ If you have any further question or need assistance I can be reached at service@sportbiketrackgear.com - Van
Hi! I know this was posted 7yrs ago but I just want to ask if you guys have a full system for this M4 15-20? Also can I put this exhaust on my MT 03 2022?
+Rene d'Aramis Only if you purchase a slip-on like this, that requires removal of the CAT. Most slip-ons we sell however, will just attach right to the end of this pipe.
+Bobby Nichols For optimal performance you would want to add some type of fuel management system, but it is not necessary and will not damage your equipment without one! Thanks for the great question!
sir i got yzf-r25 and im jst wondering if this m4 exhaust can fit in to my bike? is ther any changes in prosidure or its jst the same in the r3? i want this m4 to my bike.. pls help!
Block off plates will do a bit to smooth out the bike. A remap is not required and leaving the bike as it is will not damage the engine but if you are looking for optimal performance you would want to get a fuel controller like PCV, Bazzazz, or just go ahead and do the re-map. Thanks for watching!
Yes this will work for the 2023 as well. M4 Exhaust Yamaha YZF-R3 15-24 Street Slayer Carbon Slip On Exhaust www.sportbiketrackgear.com/m4-exhaust-yamaha-yzf-r3-15-17-street-slayer-carbon-slip-on-exhaust/
Well that depends on your local laws and where you intend to use it. Rule of thumb is if you are removing the cat then it is no longer street legal. With that said it is still legal for closed course use (race track etc...) Some riders prefer to stay emissions compliant while others roll dirty. This is a personal choice each individual needs to make. - Van
Can you replace just the carbon end pice I dropped my bike and messed up up but can just pull off the carbon I dont wanna spend 500$ when i can just put a new piece of carbon on I don't get it if you know anything please let me know
I just shot a text to the owner at M4 and he said they sell them separate. If you would like to order one you will need to do that directly through M4. - Van

Sportbike Track Gear oh nice! I'll be looking out for it then. I do have a R3 it's a 2017 it's Matte Black with red stripes. Yeah, the slip on sounds awesome, can't wait to hear how an whole system sounds like.
Must be a pain in the ass to keep putting on the stock exhaust so it can be taken off again for all the exhaust-install videos
+Mainfold Now I cut it so I will need to buy a stock someone took off their bike... - Van
+Sportbike Track Gear Looking forward to more videos on the R3, so entertaining to watch!
+Sportbike Track Gear Great Video but why buy it when can edit the video of you removing the stock exhaust on to a video of you installing a different system.
Yeah, know anyone who has one?
Just ordered mine and should be here in a few days. Shipping to California, gonna use w/o the DB killer at first and hopefully I don't get a ticket =D
Did you experience many backfires? Block off plate and tune required?
No you do not have to install the block off plates or tune the bike. We rode ours a ton with this system on the bike before we installed a Power Commander. - Van
Is this the same process for the Mt 03? I know they are similar bikes just wanted to confirm I bought a m4 and want to install
Yes this would be the same process on that bike. - Van
I would like to put this exhaust on my 2016 R3. I don't trust myself to successfully do the work though.
howd it go?
Sounds awesome. Did you need to re-map the engine after removing the cat?
Thank you for watching! Nope, we did not need to re-map or anything of the sort. The bike is still without a re-map or fuel controller and it runs great!
+Sportbike Track Gear Thanks for the reply. No concerns over the performance of the engine without a full map then?
Nope, the bikes is used basically only on the street and it runs well without a new MAP. In the future we will probably throw a control unit on there but no worries for now :)
I already got the R-77 from you guys but the dyno numbers, without tuning, and sound are a 'lil much better on this one. Might need another!
+YamahaR3Racer010 Just sell the Yosh. - Van
Or own both!
Hey just saw this video in 2022 and I have a question.... can we buy a aftermarket muffle box... just to be street safe
And my other question is
Can anything happen to the bike on the long run for not having a catalytic converter? Would the bike mess up or would there be any negative side affects. Sorry is just this is my first bike and I don't really know much
Thanks in advance
+joserubenvega All things considered this is my favorite. It eliminates the cat, looks great, sounds great and the price is right! - Van
Just heard back from M4. This system produces 101 dB at 6200 rpm. Hope this helps. - Van
i love this bike so much........ ill be the rider of one of these babies for my first bike.the Akrapovic Slip on Exhaust seems like the best/affordable option.
- Van
Love it just bought one after watching this video for the Yamaha mt03
This is a great system for the R/MT 03. - Van
Very loud on my Mt03 love it thanks guys for making me purchase this exhaust
Another oustanding video! Good on Ya, Brian!
+1 for dB Killer installed.
:) love your videos.
adithep singhakumar Seriously love to hear that. Thanks so much man.
Question sir, does changing this kind of full system would affect the power performance of the R3 ? cuz someone told me that whenever i change into fullsystem, i should run a dyno tune on it. Honestly here in my place we dont have yet any dyno expert.
Thanks for your response.
So this is a slip on? what about a M4 full exhaust vs Yoshimura full exhaust? Which is louder & has more air flow??
+STANCED The M4 is going to be louder with more airflow. Thanks for watching!
What would you say is louder the M4 street slayer or the Yoshimura exhaust? just curious getting ready to buy and install a new exhaust from my R3
+Shawn Johnson I would say the M4 is the louder of the two! Thanks for watching!
- Van
Thanks! Then I will buy this exhaust as it seems like the loudest one out there at the moment for the YZF R3 - Thanks STG!
Hey van, so I received my M4 exhaust and I installed it. Went very well thank to your vid. One question, will I be able to pass inspection with this? ;P
+Kaha K Well that depends on where you live. - Van
Yoshi full system sounds better. Headers are nicer, and the M4 stays in cut midpipe and stock headers.
- Van
are you supposed to dyno map it or get a power commander if you were to use this exhause?
You can install this and run it as is with no issues at all. We ran our bike for quite sometime with this system and never mapped or installed a fuel controller on it. Zero issues. - Van
I know this question comes a bit late, but how was the sound when riding without the silencer? was it a bit uncomfortable (loud) at higher RPMs? did the idle get to you? when getting after it, would the exhaust pop little fireballs? (please say yes to them fireballs!)
Let us know!
I honestly put the baffle in and have been rocking that ever since! Really never get sick of hearing the bike, it is just nice to have some sound when riding!
Hey Van, I noticed with my R3 M4 slip on install has increased handlebar vibrations, not severe but noticeable, what would you do to solve this issue. eg Bar end weights (what size would it be and would it change if i have a R6 throttle tube?
so this exhaust not come with the header? and yes I love the sound & underbelly exhaust like this
+Super User That is correct, it is the slip-on and link pipe only. Thanks for watching!
I've read from sources that you might need a power commander for this. Is that true?
No you do not need a Power Commander when you install this system. We rode the bike a ton without having one on the bike. Zero issues. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear well that confirms my purchase. Lol thank you
Hey Brian, I'm keen to do this to my R3 except I have an Akrapovic slip on. Do you know what diameter and length pipe I'd need to connect the muffler to the header pipe after removing the cat? Cheers, Nate.
Connect it after cutting the cat out 1 inch from the O2 sensor*
If you want to do this with the Akra it will be a bit of a project but you can get it done. I do not know the diameter but you can easily measure that after you make the cut. Personally I would just go with the M4 slip on. This will get you a better end result and save you a ton of time. - Van
How does this compare to the Graves cat eliminator system for the R3 and did you notice any power increase?
+Sportbike Track Gear So happy I got the m4 system. dramatically changed my bike and how it handles. sooo loud oh so loud.
Sounds good though, right?
Did you reset your ecu? Hows the performance so far?
No we did not flash the ecu or install a fuel controller with this exhaust. IMO not necessary for this system. - Van
I see videos of that kind of installment... It states that it will harm the machine...
@@sportbiketrackgear without upgrading the ecu... In full system exhaust
If I buy this? Do I have to tune the motorcycle? If I do what do I need to do that?
No you do not have to tune the bike to install this. In order to get the maximum performance benefits from the system you would need to install a fuel controller or flash the ECU at some point. I would recommend riding it first to see how you like the change. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear okay sounds good. I’ll let you know when I’m ready to buy it. Thanks
hey van, so I have the r3 I'm gonna buy this slip on and the power commander as well. But which one should I get ? it's for a 2016 model. also what air filter would you recommend? thanks. give me the best there is please. (for this bike)
I would go with the Bazzaz, prefer their's to Power Commander. For the filter BMC does a nice job.

Thanks
Do you need to get ECU flashed or a tune with this?
No you can install this without adding a fuel controller or flashing the ecu. - Van
Great videos guys, Keep up the good work!
+fearmelee Thanks for watching! - Van
Best youtube channel !! Thanks guys for this !
greetings from Austria !
Do you need to add a power commander with the m4 exhaust?
Hi! I know this was posted 7yrs ago but I just want to ask if you guys have a full system for this M4 15-20? Also can I put this exhaust on my MT 03 2022?
This system will fit the 15-22 R3 or MT-03. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thanks! Last question 😁 what do you recommend for a headers for that slip on in this video?
if your bike comes with a CAT if changing just a slip on exhaust will your CAT be removed?
+Rene d'Aramis Only if you purchase a slip-on like this, that requires removal of the CAT. Most slip-ons we sell however, will just attach right to the end of this pipe.
Can i put a power commander on my bike with this technically not being a full exhaust?
You can install a fuel controller if you like. No reason you can not. - Van
Hey also do you know if they make auto blippers for the R3?
Do these motorcycle run with on board computer don't you need the oxygen sensor with the exhust for it to run good
Im planning to have an upgrade to my raven black r3 v2.
Is m4 slip on without flashing the ecu nor changing the ecu can cause back fire?
Muy bueno, te pregunto, queda encendida la luz de inyección sin catalizador??
No removing the catalyst does not turn on the check engine light. - Van
if you cut the cat does it make it a full system ?
Van- Adding this slip on, would I have to modify the fuel delivery system in order to run this slip on?
+Bobby Nichols For optimal performance you would want to add some type of fuel management system, but it is not necessary and will not damage your equipment without one! Thanks for the great question!
+Sportbike Track Gear I've already installed my M4 exhaust and it sounds GREAT! I recommend this if you're looking for a "growl" with your R3!
can i install it in 2019?
Yes this will fit the 2015-2019 Yamaha R3. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear hi do i still need to reflash my ecu in this slip on m4 exhaust.?????
do we have to tune it?
No need to tune the bike, just install and ride. - Van
How illegal would this be in California?
what are the chances you'd get caught?
Yeah I was wondering too
I set my bike up with one today, theres no way you'll get caught in Calif
how did you get one to sent to cali?
+TISTA LIFE ^^
???
sir i got yzf-r25 and im jst wondering if this m4 exhaust can fit in to my bike? is ther any changes in prosidure or its jst the same in the r3? i want this m4 to my bike.. pls help!
I want to buy this slip on. Is it legal in California
No this would not be legal in CA. - Van
What are the name of all the tools used in this video?
Willy Made Firetong?? is good or no??
van , iam planning to change my exhaust system what would be the best for R25 ?
Bike seems to be running rich after I installed the M4 SS on my R3... Would the block off plate reduce this? Is a remap required?
Block off plates will do a bit to smooth out the bike. A remap is not required and leaving the bike as it is will not damage the engine but if you are looking for optimal performance you would want to get a fuel controller like PCV, Bazzazz, or just go ahead and do the re-map. Thanks for watching!
Is there any slider that you would recommend that will protect the M4 exhaust since its lower than usual?
That header, it does rust, right?
The OEM header will rust over time, yes.
Will this tutorial still work for models 2023 r3?
Yes this will work for the 2023 as well.
M4 Exhaust Yamaha YZF-R3 15-24 Street Slayer Carbon Slip On Exhaust
www.sportbiketrackgear.com/m4-exhaust-yamaha-yzf-r3-15-17-street-slayer-carbon-slip-on-exhaust/
Is the exhaust legal?
Well that depends on your local laws and where you intend to use it. Rule of thumb is if you are removing the cat then it is no longer street legal. With that said it is still legal for closed course use (race track etc...) Some riders prefer to stay emissions compliant while others roll dirty. This is a personal choice each individual needs to make. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear ok thank you but is it e marked so i can Drive on the street legally? And can i install this exhaust without taking the cat out?
Can you replace just the carbon end pice I dropped my bike and messed up up but can just pull off the carbon I dont wanna spend 500$ when i can just put a new piece of carbon on I don't get it if you know anything please let me know
I just shot a text to the owner at M4 and he said they sell them separate. If you would like to order one you will need to do that directly through M4. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thank you
@@sportbiketrackgear I can't find just the carbon on the website and It won't let me call them through the website please help
Is it ok to remove O2 sensor? Any affects on gas and emission?
