Brian - Just finished installing a ton of aftermarket parts on my R3 and these videos were insanely helpful. Much appreciation for what you do for the community...thank you!
M4 great product and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Max will be a better roadracer learning to work on his bike, it will allow him in the future to communicate better with his team if something goes wrong.
I agree 100% on both points for sure. Working on the bike is a big part of being a rider IMO. Max will absolutely be working on his own bikes as he gets older. - Van
Lol!!! Teach em YOUNG!!! You want to work in a shop and on your bike, dress accordingly. Great job Max. And great job dad for teaching lil man and getting him into this AWESOME world of riding bikes. Love your videos man. If I ever need to do a little something on my little r3 and I'm not sure about it, I ALWAYS check stg channel FIRST. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you and your family and everyone else on the STG team.
Happy Holiday to you and yours as well! Thank you for watching and all of the kind words, most appreciated. I am blessed to have the opportunity to share this with Max, love all of his enthusiasm for the bikes. - Brian Van
I don't know what exhaust to get for my r3, all I care about is the sound, i don't care about anything else, so in your opinion, what exhaust whould you say sounds the best??? I really like the vibrant sound of the akra and the deep sound of the m4 and that hindle though, sounds amazing! I've watched almost al your vids and love every single one, keep up the great work🔥🔥🔥
Yeah Van, your right sons right it does sound good. When you told me y'all did this video I was anticipating its release cause I was curious as to how it would sound. What kind of gains are they sayin it gives it? And are those the stock Pilot Streets on it when y'all go to the track? Looks like it, not 100 percent though. If not, what tires are y'all running on it at the track and otherwise?. Now that I skipped ahead to hear it, I'll jump back and watch the install!
prefect I am buying an M4 in a few days I am not sure what to go more price a little more power or slip on less power and better looks I am not sure which one to go with :/
Super helpful install video! Does the exhaust gasket have a front/back or specific way it needs to go in? Also what are you looking for in order for it to not be reusable?
The M4 full system makes great power and sounds awesome. Kyle really did a great job on the R3 system when he designed it. I would pull the trigger on the M4 system. - Brian Van
You can install this full system and ride the bike without a tune or any changes to the fuel system. If you are happy with the performance just ride and save the money. - Van
Hi Brian, I just purchased the same M4 system for my 2020 Yamaha R3. I’m a new rider and I’m only doing it for looks and sound. Since I’m not going to be using the bike at the track do I still need to put in a power commander or do an ECU flush? I’m worried that if I do any of those two it will void my warranty but I’m thinking if I don’t do the ECU flush or PCV it would make the bike run lean or that it will mess up the valves and definitely need to do something about the fueling but again I’m not an expert just a newbie and I have asked and tried to figure it out but some people says yes do the ECU flush, others said go with the PCV route and others say I don’t need to do anything besides install the system and I should be fine Help :(
No need to install the power commander or change the fuel mapping. We rode our R3 plenty with the full exhaust without having changed the fuel mapping at all. Zero issues. - Van
If your worried about the warranty, putting a full exhaust without the cat converter with void the warranty. To be compliant you can only use a slip-on muffler. All info is in the owners manual. I have a 2019 bought brand new and after the warranty ended i went full M4 carbon with ecu flash from norton motorsports. This has been a solid bike ive put on 13,500 miles in 2 years doing all maintenace myself.
That boy is the human version Toy's story neighbor boy. I don't mean to he disrespectful or anything like that. He just remind me that movie. BTW great video !!!
You do not have to do that unless you want to squeeze all of the performance benefits out of it. The STG R3 has not been flashed or tuned yet. - Brian Van
Hi I have a question, is it possible for two same engines to sound different? Or should they sound 100% same? Say both me and a friend own a 2007 R6. Should our ENGINE sound the same or is a little bit different ok?
No it comes with a new exhaust hanger included if you want to remove the rear passenger pegs. Below is a link to our listing, we have pictures of this installed on our STG R3 with the bracket installed. www.sportbiketrackgear.com/m4-exhaust-yamaha-yzf-r3-15-17-full-exhaust-system/ Brian Van
We rode this bike a ton with this system and several others before installing a fuel controller on it. If you are happy with the performance after installing the system just leave it alone. If you want to get all the performance possible then go for a tune etc... - Van
i drive a ninja 300 and i just can't get over the sound the aftermarket exhausts make for the 300's its like a lawnmower to me. + why buy an exhaust for a bike that i will own for 2 years and then get rid off? i'd save the money and invest it in a bigger bike.
I know a lot of dudes with big bikes who are replacing them with little ones now. Max will be riding this bike for several more years. No reason to get a bigger bike if you have not found the limits of the little one IMO. Love my R3! - Brian Van
RiddleRides that’s a track bike they put this system in and I don’t think anyone is telling you to guy buy one for your bike that you’ll keep for 2 years saving for a big bike. Smh why did you buy a 300 if you don’t like the sound?
Go To 19:52 to hear the exhaust
Sportbike Track Gear Sounds sweeet !

Love your vids, you're just so natural
Which one is better? Slip on or full system?
If you are track riding or racing a full system is the way to go. For the street a slip on will get the job done just fine. - Van

Super helpful install video! Does the exhaust gasket have a front/back or specific way it needs to go in? Also what are you looking for in order for it to not be reusable?
Thanks for watching! We were able to reuse the gaskets no problem. They are not directional, same on both sides. - Brian Van
Hey Brian, great video. Which full system exhaust do you think makes the best sound for the R3? Akra, Sc, Arrow, M4
The M4 full system makes great power and sounds awesome. Kyle really did a great job on the R3 system when he designed it. I would pull the trigger on the M4 system. - Brian Van

It is not uncommon for there to be a difference in the way they sound. Should be similar for the most part. - Van
