- Today we hauled our Greg Judy bale Unroller to our neighbors house to set out 6 bales for his herd. He couldn’t get his tractor started and going because it was 4° outside today, -5 with the windchill. It took us less time to move all of those bales then it would have to let a tractor warm up and get ready for the job. After moving bales for him, we were able to come back to our farm and Unroller a bale of hay to our herd. We were able to accomplish all of this with about 30 minutes.
The Greg Judy Bale Unroller is a multi-purpose tool that we would not be able to do without here at Reject Ranch!

I believe Greg unrolls it in the opposite direction. It spreads the hay out over a larger area.
Yes, it just depends on how you want to unroll! The ‘pet the cat’ method helps you determine if you want it laid out as bedding or if you want to unroll for a longer distance and spread the hay out!
Do you make these unrollers. You have a lot of them around. I would like one but they are just too high.
We do manufacture the GJ Bale UnRoller! Happy to help you out in any way possible, though we cant control the price of the materials we use to build them, as many of our customers will tell you they are definitely built to last and worth every penny!

Do you find a lot of waste??
It just depends on what you look at as waste. We try to leave some hay on the ground before we unroll another bale, or move the herd. The ‘waste’ becomes ground coverage to help the soil. The manure and nitrogen/urea from the cow fertilize the ‘waste’ and help to grow more grass in the spring!
