I just fitted a set of Dark Star Pylons to my Gyrodec 6 days ago and the improvement in sound is astonishing, everything snaps into focus. If you thought the Gyrodec was good with the standard springs (like I did) then you're in for a shock. I have a True Point audio electronic speed PSU fitted and the speed stability has dramatically improved. Probably because the chassis is not wobbling about like a jelly anymore. Another great thing is you can refit the pylon covers to retain the classic Gyrodec looks. I think Michell engineering (or is it Michell Audio now) should look at these and consider fitting them as standard to the Gyrodec and Orbe.
We have no meaningful way to measures that. The springs themselves have a high frequency resonance which is removed, this is the reason why they improve the sound quality. The pylons have a much lower resonance which is also reduced in amplitude because of the damping qualities of the materials used.
Received mine today!!!!!!1
Excellent upgrade!

Great stuff. How is the speed stability affected by these pylons?
What is the new resonance frequency with Dark Star Pylons compared with the springs?
