My Charlie the Schnauzer was with me for 12years 7 months. The vet found a fast moving cancer in his lungs and spleen. I had to make a decision not to let him suffer and put him down. Sunrise 7/9/11 Sunset 2/27/24. It is very difficult for me. He was always by my side. He was my little soldier. I lost Henry in 1999. It took me 15 years to let another dog in and her name was Chiquita. 1.5 years later Murphy came home. I lost Murphy in November 2019 and Chiquita in 2021. The one thing God never told us...just how hard it is to say goodbye to these amazing souls.

June 2020 I was fortunate to save a 4 1/2 month puppy from a family that didn't treat her well...I soon found that SHE and God saved me. She IS the Only reason I get up every day. She knows when I am feeling down..by climbing into my lap (all 70lbs), for a hug. This video brought tears of happiness. Thankful for God giving me this beautiful animal..named Bisket.
When we lose one of our prescious pets, the heartache we feel is the price we pay for unconditional love. Always get another. There are many more out there willing to share their love. They just need someone.
Had to put my Zeus down a week ago and yes, God made dogs for a reason. They help us grow and help us love. They help us tolerate things we can't change. They bring joy in a way that other things can't. RIP Zeus, I love you always. ❤
OMG..MY BABY BOYS NAME WAS ZUES ALSO. We lost him 6 months ago june 26. He was only 2 years old. I am so sorry for your lost. I know exactly how you feel. Understand that his spirit is near you immediately after he leaves his fury body. He is waiting for you to speak to him and acknowledge him and he will send you so many signs he is around. He is living energy in spirt. Learn this relationship and trust me you will know that he is and will forever be with you. I pray you get through your grieving. Getting through your grief allows you to connect easier with him. He is not gone..only in the physical sense. Hes spirit is with you and you can talk to him and ask for signs. I promise you will see or hear them or even see them. They become your guardian angel. Goodluck in your new journey with him and you stay strong.

We lost Hope today. She was the best companion. She never questioned me when I was upset, and always greeted me with love and excitement, regardless of my disposition. Even when we were debating putting her down and we were crying, she put her head in our laps and put her paw upon our legs. She comforted us until the end.
Lost my dog yesterday morning, she had a tumor on her heart and basically died in my arms. I’ve lost friends and family, but this grief is the worst thing I’ve ever felt. Guilt is one of the feeling that seem to revisit me, though her death was not preventable. I miss my pup so much.
Be Strong my friend, gather all your strength and goto the shelter today and find another angel in fur and paws. It is not Disrespect to the deceased you would be showing , but the open and loving heart your recent friend awakened in you. Get yourself together, get a human to go with you and start the circle of love anew!! 🌞🐕🌞

We had 3 labs then 2 more when they passed over 30 years. We wanted them to keep each other company when we were at work. They were our kids. We grieved deeply when they passed and still do. All 5 were different but the best dogs anyone could want. We were so blessed. It is said we will see them in Heaven again. All dogs go to Heaven. Thank you God for our puppies. They will always be puppies to us.😢

I am lost for words. Dogs have saved my life, literally. Without them I would not have survived the death of my wife. The day after she died I just couldnt do it anymore. I wanted to be with her so much. Sitting in the corner, just watching was Archie my Springer Spaniel. As I made preparations he came over, sat and looked at me and said to me with his eyes, who will look after me? Who will walk me? Who will feed me? Like a bolt from the blue I knew I could not leave him. Eleven years later when it was time for him to go I repaid my debt to him. I held him and comforted him as he went limp in my arms and put him down gently onto the vets table and let my tears wash over him. He was the only witness to the years of grief I endured after losing my wife. His picture sits on my sideboard and I thank him every day for saving me.
