    The guy next to Gibson starts off pretty tedious and half of his responses to what has been brought up are basically the same cliches my grandma says about cell phones. The moderator is charming, though,

      sobekviasoul I dont understand how you can have that reaction, I felt he was awesome. He was like a counterweight to Gibson in some places. I think all of them had cool insights. I always enjoy hearing from william gibson

    I don't really agree with Gibson's idea that people are never alone today, I think there's quite a difference between being connected and not being alone. Sherry Turkle, who is by no means a technophobic, has written a book about it.

    Imagine being a communications professor and “Internet Researcher” in 2015 and still dichotomizing “the digital” and the real. Read McLuhan. You’re 50+ years behind the times.
