I was at this show. Stevie Ray was playing at the Pier in Manhattan that night. It was sold out and I couldn’t get tickets. Opted to see Robert Gordon at the Lonestar which was on 12th street at the time. After the second set, at about 1:30 a.m. Robert Gordon comes out with Stevie Ray. I think they did three songs. I was close to the stage and I remember Stevie Ray turning to Chris Spedding just before they started playing and asking, “what key.” Astounded this showed up.

Sounds to me like they're having fun. Of course SRV knows this tune from the Ray Sharpe hit in Texas.🙏😷🎵👍🎶❗👀
He has a great voice
Man I'm so glad I stumbled on this !!
I'm glad you're glad!

Absolutely awesome! Never known this sessio before now...
Stevie Ray does a solo on this and you have to listen for it. Spedding does most of the guitar.
First time I've seen Stevie w/o a Strat!!
That is probably Chris Spedding's '71 Les Paul Custom.
That was hard to listen to!!!! To be fair it clearly wasn’t his rig, and what the hell with all the delay?
But he also seems to be playing the same solo that he plays in all his other songs. Same licks over and over again.
Love Stevie, but this sure wasn´t his best solo!
SuperCrackerjacks... Drug addled at this point in his life.
Exactly, Spedding as usual is on point - but SRV sounds addled
