i've played a lot of 2D games where dodging and punching is the main thing, and god damn, even tough hollow knight has weird hitboxes, its like just a fraction of what a bad hitbox design can be compared to things like brawlhalla :'v
2 points were about the map I don’t agree on, it’s a metroidvania, you’re supposed to be exploring, and the other, about how you can’t move the flying molds, that’s because you need them for parkour, and it’s an obstacle, it’s meant to be hard. No hate but I don’t really agree with your points😅
I was still a noob when I obtained the dreamgate. I had the compass equiped when I was a noob, and got around without much trubble. What did take time tho, was beating the soul boss for the first time. Now it dies first try every time. (Also, those bugs u talked about still anoy me to this day, litteraly...)
I've beaten Blasphemous 1 and 2 but Hollow Knights map design sucks. I'm not stuck in Deepnest I just don't feel like running for miles to go buy a Lumafly lantern just to have to backtrack miles
I never made it past them, I just can't get the combat down like, at all. Best I did was the mantis lords, but I just could not get the watcher knights no matter what I did or tried. I tried playing it again recently and I couldn't even beat Hornet I just don't get it, I don't understand what I'm not getting about it I can play every other combat focused game just fine
