This is awesome, but i think adding the right search words would help people finding this. Add diy hottent stove build in the vid description would help i think.
I've got the same problem with the door on the big mama model from seek outside, i was thinking about doing the same thing and making my own. It's nice to see how yours turned out
Hey Ryan, I'm curious what tooling was needed to build this. Obviously tin snips and drills, but curious on what other metalworking tools. I'm looking at modifying a SO Big Mama to have a side shelf for cooking , and a few other tweaks.
I can try to post something soon to show what I used for bending the sheets. I ended up making two custom sheet metal breaks but you really don’t have to I don’t think. Something simpler could be used but I chose what I did to make real clean reproducible work of it. I also used a razor blade utility knife for a few things too.
Thanks! Yeah I’m really liking it. I’m in the process of making a video of burning it in and have plans of making another video walking you through the build process too! Might be a while before I get to these videos but who k owns. Take care and thanks for watching!
@@middleearthchronicles2269 I built this stove before I decided to start making UA-cam videos so I won’t be able to do a full build video but I do plan to put something together at some point that shows how I did portions of the build which anyone could use to build there own.
I made two small presses for this project. Fairly simple and with scrape metal I had laying around. At some point I plan to post a more in-depth video of how I built it! Thanks for watching!

Definitely like to see updates on this. That a great weight savings and a nice size difference on the door.

Very nice
Nice work
Thanks for watching!
That's a cool stove!
Thanks bud. I hope to post some follow up videos as I use it. Thanks for watching
Great replica. Did you use a shop press for the bends?
