Had a similar experience in Baha Mar . Their only selling to personal clients 😢 That give ‘em kick backs . The guy had 40 watches in the store and told me he couldn’t sell any of them . Went to Cartier across the lobby , and there is a reason why there the top high end jewelry company . Got the santos with no hesitation or excuses from the salesperson . Shout out to Cartier .
Gus is speaking truth in this video!! He does get back to you when you reach out to him and that’s so refreshing in the consumer world!!! Hats off to you Gus and the team!!!
I’m in the Uk and love watches , always yearned to get a Rolex and now I’m approaching my 50th birthday my family have told me they want to buy me one , being a Rolex I want to buy from an AD but all I’m getting is the same old BS waiting list story, and told 3year waiting list for a 41mm OP , to be honest I cannot be bothered with the pompous snooty sales reps , if you are spending thousands on a timepiece the reps should be jumping through hoops , not judging whom they want to deal with etc , I just find the whole thing very off putting , so as much as I always fancied a Rolex Ive been put off the brand.
What’s wrong with you people? There are few simple rules, you got to follow when wishing a Rolex, which clearly way too many of you don’t understand! - use your LOCAL AD! 95% of ADs who ain’t located in an airport, will want to serve LOCAL clients! - DONT be an idiot, walking in asking for ANY RANDOM Rolex. That shouts “I’m a grey market dealer”, who just want any watch to flip. - be specific, let the SA know you know what you are after, and not just interested in random models or colours. - go back to the AD, every now and then, make sure only to communicate and talk, to the SA you met the first time, showing the SA loyalty, let them get to know you, show them you have passion for the brand and product. - be ready to buy when the call comes! Don’t go… oh it’s dropped a bit in grey market value.. not sure to buy it or not… who cares? If you are so worried about grey market resale price, you shouldn’t have a Rolex in the first place. Follow the simple rules and get a date just 41, in less then 2 months, as first time client at this AD. Don’t forget (AFTER you got the watch) to show appreciation towards your SA, wine, chocolate or similar goes a long way and makes you stand out, from the average client. It’s not that hard guys. Just stop being jerks, starting with the line “have you got ANY watch I can buy”? That’s how exactly you won’t ever be considered as future client!
Thought I was the only one who could employ this common sense. Another top tip, I went with my wife …. got her a lovely fluted Wimbledon DJ and I got my Sub - all within 6 months. Gave the lovely SA some wine when I got my wife’s, couple days later got my sub, she then got a well deserved bottle of 🍾. I will be returning to enquire about a jubilee GMT TT
Rolex ADs aren’t operated by Rolex itself ; I think it differs from AD to AD ; at the local one here sales ppl were nice and respectful even stood up when I came in ; they offered coffee, water n chocolate … while in another country they had a sales person that was rude (store that sold jewelry and had different watch brands) I think perhaps Rolex should pressure the ADs to have an overall good customer support as I am noticing plenty of ppl in the comments have had a bad experience …
What are the differences between prong cuban (squared off links) vs prong set cuban links are. Does the term "prong cuban” refer to the setting of the stones or the squared off shape of the links? Because I noticed some prong cubans with stones can be set differently. Are prong cubans and prong set cubans difference things?

Yes Rolex is under intentionally transformation. It feels forced, but I'll take it.

I cannot wear the fluted bezel datejust because it’s white gold and I cannot wear gold. That makes me tasteless in watches?
You allergic or just don’t like it? Religious reasons? Just curious
Good 👍👍👍

Don't be surprised if you get the call. I did.
