I just purchased one, and it works great! I agree with the other reviewers about correct operation, correct nozzle, and proper surface being cleaned. It is not too heavy, not too loud, has a rather good-sized collection bin, a terrific LONG cord, and I even used it to vacuum out my car.
I have one, and it worked amazingly well, I have a habit of taking thing apart and pulled the moter out and ran just the motor, and the suction was unbelievable for a hqnd held, so I'm now using the motor in conjunction with a dust removal system for an airbrush air eraser blast cabinet dust collection system. Completely different application, but the cyclonic action creates a very formidable suction power. My wife got an up right pet eraser, thats why I was allowed to disassemble the hand held one lol
Just received the 33a1. Tried it out on a recliner where cat hair was embedded into the fabric. I used a slow pulling motion and the unit picked up all of the hair. Works great when using proper technique. Very easy.
Very odd to toss the instructions without reading the manufacturer's guide on how to use the thing properly! How can you do a thorough "review" to share with us? 2 Thumbs down for YOUR video!
Dumb review. Eric used the incorrect attachment. You shouldn't be using rubber on a carpet, He should have used the hard nozzle. And, he was pushing the pet fur deeper into the carpet. And one last thing, the word is "decibels," not "decimals!" ☺
I love your reviews, however, I believe you used the wrong surface. I recently bought one and it works wonderful on my coach and my bed. If you use a surface Bissell recommends for the product, then it's good to know it doesn't work on it (bad advertisement), but in my experience, it works great on other surfaces. About the small hole it has, it may be the only inconvenient, but overall I don't find it as a critical disadvantage. (Sorry for my English)
Thanks for watching our review Lyribe! I believe you are correct. We will be getting different kinds of surfaces going forward to better review the products. We appreciate any feedback, good or bad.
This guy doesn't know how to use a vacuum....This design appears to work best if you use short dragging motions to actually lift the pet hair. I don't work for Bissell, or own this but I'm presently looking for a good handheld for pet hair and this one seems to be a contender if used correctly...
Knuckles, I don't think I knew I was was doing either. But, like what Lyribe said in her comment. I believe I was using the wrong type of surface. This type of vacuum is probably meant for plush sofas and throw pillows and high pile carpeting. Let us know what type of vacuum you end up purchasing. Maybe we'll review it. Thanks for watching!
I agree...this guy has no clue....I have several pets...& this works great on my sofa...picks up hair great...I hope potential customers don't listem 2this guy...geeze!
I want that you "say sorry or apologize" for this video because you did not read the manufacturer's manual. There are 2 taps, and you must use the correct tap depending on the surface you want to clean.
I have some specific areas I use the 33A1 in and its acceptable. I have had a difficult time finding the filter for this on Bissel website. Could anyone possibly help me with a part number so I can finish my order?
I wanted to watch the entire review but the wise-cracking camera man/background guy proved simply too annoying. Really! Let the presenter do the review!
I have 3dogs & 8 cats...I love my pets & my home & like 2keep it clean...this works awesome on my couch ...(where my dogs love 2lay) & it works beautiful. U did a terrible review & really did not use this Bissell as recommended. I'm so glad most did not listen 2u...because u were SO wrong!
Bro, pls save me from the misery of dog fur. There are tons of vacuum online promising to easily remove the fur of their pets nothing works for me. Pls recommend the BEST vacuum to remove pet fur on sofa and bed. Thanks in advance. Kudos!

How would you say this works on stairs? If so, how does it do?

handheld vacuums are not used on commercial loop carpet - that is what an upright is for. Had you used on furniture - the result would be different

I have the same vac... It's not bad, for price it's good.
I own this product and I have a cat, and I love the product. I typically use the hard nozzle though and not the rubberized one.
Not saying I love Bissell but it is clear you did not use it right
This works great don't listen to this guy! Had mine for years!

I bought 2 of these and the round piece that holds the nozzle has come out twice. I don't know how to put it back on without breaking the plastic.
Welp not getting that now.

I saw the filters for it on Amazon

Actually, the bantering between the presenter and the cameraman was their deliberate shtick.
Read the instructions . You owe this product a big apology.
Haha he try to push it!
wow awesome Bissell pet

Sorry.....I have no stairs...but I think it would do a good job...I am very pleased with how it works...it has helped me greatly 2get rid of pet hair.

Non realistic test.
