I gave up with dehya a long time ago. Attempting a "boycott" isn't gonna work because they dont care, and whenever the new character drops, everyone forgets about the boycott.

Genshin is the work (art) of its artists. you have to AT LEAST respect the work of others. you dont have to agree with it. but respect is a must.

If not. People were expecting more dark skin units with the arrival of Natlan. But when the trailer dropped and a grand total of 3-4 out of the 9 or so units are black-ish and one being loosely based off of an Aztec god that was black, people got pissed.

this company caters only to the incels without love lives (the ceo literally said it during the presentation of their games' vision to create a safe and chill space for men who are to socially anxious to find a date by selling them hot anime women. knowing this fact makes it clear why mhy doesn't want to change ANYTHING important to the players (endgame, representation etc), but the things oike the teapot & the tcg get updated all the time. yeah, mhy doesn't give a shit. they're not gonna change anything, especially AFTER revealing the appearance of the characters, just look at the Zhongli or Neuvilette gameplay and "bug" fixes incidents respectively - the Chinese community almost sued them for those, they might as well do the same after the skin color change.
hoyo could've just idk release a gadget that allows you to slightly change the models of the characters or smth, just like they allowed the players to name scara. let the people who want to see their characters lighter or darker, thinner or fatter have this thing as a tool. but after all, again, they're catering to the only audience the devs themselves (their words btw) belong to. gg
