This is how barca should operate to begin with. Cyruff made la masia because barca wont be able to compete with madrid money. His idea is to groom their own players that know how to play barca style tactically and only buy players on position that la masia cant cover. If you add that to on how football transfer market works nowdays, add barca should scout or buy young high potential players and put them at la masia. I think its the reason vitor roque havent play much. He havent fully understand how barca play tactically, his finishing also need some work and lewa in a good form. Next season he will get more minutes slowly and surely replacing old lewa.
Thats exactly how Barca dominated from 2009-2012. Use your academy players und reinforce your team with some top players (Eto'o, Henry, Yaya Toure, Villa). We had a staring 11 in 2011 CL Final with 7 academy players. That is the way how we rise again

To buy only only grade A players at the end of their careers is the stupidest idea one can resort to for a sustainable financial policy and high end hope of wining silverware.
I would rather buy Zubimendi for $60 M then taking Kimmich for nothing and paying him a huge salary. Relying on La Masia is no brainer. That should have been done all along no mater who has been at the helm as president. I would not spend a penny for salaries of players over 30. Bernardo Silva is a great player, DeBroyne too, but I would not block the careers of Fermin Lopez, Gavi, Pedri, Yamal, Messinho to allow priority in making the first 11 to those two. La Porta must curb the tendency of Deco of making Barca a portuguese team. Not all of Deco's co nationals are Barca material. I think that bringing in only grade A players at the of their careers on a free transfers is a huge mistake that will dent into making Barca a team that would win any silverware. Buy Messinho, Zubimendi, Onana now if you can. Forget Kimmich, Bernardo, DeBroyne. They all can go play for PSG or any Saudi team. No loss for Barcelona having them.
