We all know there's a player in Martinelli, he's just not on it. Like last year, Kai struggled in the system until that bang moment - right now it's Martinelli. I really do hope the narrative of a Timber / Cala + Merino left side will start to bring the best out of Martinelli again. Its hard, because we all hyper focus on his moments, but theres a wider context that is yet to go bang still.
Martinelli needs to calm down, he needs to learn to use his head to make proper decisions because he is a great player, but his biggest problem is his decision making in the final third. Despite that I would not start Trossard over him. Trossard is a beast coming in as a sub.
