Posted five years ago and I can't believe this is the first time I've seen this.
First of all, FINALLY! FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY, a cameraperson who knows how to film a stage production!!! One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when there's a stage full of dancers and the "professional" cameraperson zooms in on a few faces or a few feet. In an audience you get to see it all, why not on the screen? Why focus on a few when every person on that stage worked so hard to make it an ensemble success? We want to see it all! If you have the itch to zoom in, wait for the smaller, non-number scenes.
Second ... I have no idea what CCM is but they captured a truly incredible choreographer; better than many I've seen on B'way, and they should do all they can to keep him or her. And the execution of that choreography ... wow. No one pulled my eye with error, lack of enthusiasm and energy or with that look of concentration you find in amateurs AND, often, professionals.
As you can tell, I tend to nit-pit and dissect these videos and I don't recall ever commenting on one in which I didn't find room for improvement.
Excellent, enjoyable video! Thank you for posting it!

OMG, I just can't let this go. I just watched it again and I am overjoyed to find a choreographer who knows how to choreograph for women AND men. Awesome! Kathleen Marshall would be so proud! Once I saw a Broadway touring production of "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and the Aggie Boys were so graceful it was almost a country ballet, lightly tapping their pointed toes on the stage and calling it clogging. It was the original choreography. I've seen it (and done it) done right. I'm ashamed to say that I was thrown when they started the dance break, I busted out laughing. Loudly. And I was the only one so it wasn't lost on the auditorium. I thought they had intended a comedic twist or something. I felt so bad but it's a good example of what I'm talking about with this production.
And then there's the leading lady who can sing, NOT disappear upstage while the ensemble dances but dance, herself, and then sing again, full force, a la Sutton Foster. Well done Ms. Christopher!

Wow... flawless... on your behalf... would have liked a touch of colour in the costumes.... how you sing like that when dancing so energetically? Terrific.
