I knew Carol Channing personally, and she most definitely had a love for life as well. What you said was spot on. Carol was an extremely kind and gracious person, regardless of the mishaps of other people. She handled herself with such poise and class. That's just truly how she was in real life. Which is how you chose to give your second response just now even though you were attacked when only trying to say something nice. Carol literally would have been proud of you for how you responded. Her understudy had the worst job in New York. the old trooper must have fallen and broken that arm and she needs extra assistance, but nobody cares least of all the gracious Angela.
