My parents used to have this car. My dad beat the shit out of it. He pulled trailers around full of scrap, and overheated it so bad, for ten minutes it would continue to run after it had been shut off, from all the heat pressure rising and keeping the cylinders running. After a Half hour, he'd put some water in and start it back up and drive away. He did this constantly, and it never hurt the engine. It had plenty of power too.
Very nice love listening to it I brought a 65 cyclone new in 65 and still have it very nice cyclone love it thanks for showing it.
My first car was a 1965 Mercury Comet 404 2 door sedan! I loved it! 👍
This doesn't really apply to my '61 but I still love hearing about old Comet stuff
1965 was the last year for the Falcon-based Comet, the next year saw the introduction of the larger, Fairlane-sized model.

learned something from this one how Moly rings help by holding oil, interesting, they wont tell you any of this stuff nowadays
