This is a great episode! The secret of solving many of all of our problems is realizing that everyone is not merely a “Charlie”, and that no one knows everything. It’s an easy trap to fall into. And finally he realizes that the man who saved his life is named Mr. Whitacre!
I love The Loretta Young Show which I vaguely remember from my childhood. After watching a number of them I realize how great she was as an actress conveying passion, especially love. This is my favorite episode. The ending is the most romantic scene I think I've ever seen - nothing today compares to it. Love - like in the Loretta Young episodes - is no longer portrayed on TV and in films, it's just vacuous, empty sex. Directors today seem to think it conveys passion by having a couple start to tear their clothes off, or push their partner on the bed, then jump in. But just watch Loretta Young and John Newland during this ending scene! That is LOVE. Loretta Young had quite a few handsome acting leads in these episodes and I love to see how she gazes lovingly at them, encircles her arm in theirs, she can't stop touching and squeezing them, their shoulders, their back. Kissing their necks, their faces, saying the most loving things to them. These romantic love scenes make modern day clothes tossers, pushers (onto beds) and what I hate the most - actors who bite their lower lip in a ridiculous attempt to convey that they just can't wait to do the deed. Bring back REAL romance and LOVE, like in these Loretta Young Show episodes. I can watch them over and over again. Thanks for the uploads.
These two always play variations of the same stereotypical roles, it would be more entertaining if there was a greater diversity in their characters and acting.
I've seen these 2 together in other episodes so I must respectfully disagree with your opinion. Even if you are correct, it's good to remember that the roles of men and women in real life were very stereotypical during the era these films were created. Edit: More importantly, I was intrigued by your name and checked out your channel. Very groovy indeed. Subbed.
Talk about Dramatics Young was made for them n she turned that "twisted" ankle into a compound fracture...Despite all the "Hamatics" I Enjoy watching Ms Young's shows cause it takes me back to when I was a kid..
Thank you for sharing these 😊
This is one of those episodes that I didn't want to see end. There are several episodes that could have hatched series of their own.
Loretta is such a great 👍 actress. Her character portrayl is truly amazing.❤ she also surrounds herself with quality co-stars.
I really liked this episode!
I watch them to be uplifted. Sleep well.
All elective gov people need to see this!

I remember this from about 60 years ago, I've been looking for this for years. I've been a car nut since about age 4. Thanks for posting it!

Hilarious how their situation kept getting more and more horribly dire. Such a creative morality tale.
💛
That was unbelievable, husband offering a cigarette to her while she is in the car that may explode any moment?
Mr Newland plays a real jerk in this episode.
In the dictionary entry for narcissist find the name Steve!!

Talk about overacting!!! She's terrible and he's just as bad :)
I watch these at night time so I can fall asleep -.-
This is called dramatisation. Her character is in shock, terrified and in physical pain. That would make anyone overact.
Can’t watch it. That husband is just awful.
