I live in this area the county commissioners allowed it to be high density..very sad to see this ranch area that was home to bobcat deer and occasional Florida panther to be paved over..its a huge loss of habitat and will be developed right next to Myakka state forest

You think high $300k's is a deal? That is a lot of money for a 1,400-1,700 sq ft home on postage stamp lot! Another overpriced development! Let's see what happens to all these large developments in the next year plus!
We want to live near wellen park because of the schools and toll brothers community. We can always drive to Sarasota, Tampa, Naples. We just want our dream home in a good school district.
Due to the closer proximity to the coast I would imagine the insurance costs to be higher than Lakewood Ranch. Rising insurance costs also spills over to HOA fees.

All the old people moved out and all the young people moving here now are all living in streets and woods due to places like this that won't allow people under 55 to live in homes!!!!! Which now after listening to they're idol Yelawolf I'm making mula off of they're mis opportunity 😊 thank God!

That’s why I like Venice. It’s a little more quiet. Not much by way of traffic. No crazy rush hours.

Yes, police and fire department in a combined building close to downtown Wellen Park.
North Port Police and Fire/EMS… it’s not its own city.. it’s actually in the city of North Port

For me Sarasota county is a no,no. I'm in a pretty much flyover county. Low crime,low taxes close to the water.
