Thanks for this simple video on the modification. You make it very straight foward. Only thing im worried about is the perpindicular drilling, may take my parts to a shop and have them do the mod to avoid and mishaps. Thankyou!
Seems like a lot of modification. Why not use another locker that doesn't require cutting up the housing and drilling new fastener holes? Not the way I would go.

Very articulate and excellent explanation of the process.
What tools did you use to cut the housing and clean the area where the seal sits? Thanks very much for sharing this video!
Looks great, very similar to what I plan on doing but I just plan on using an axle from a 2005 Tacoma with elocker
Great job
Will this work on a 98 Tacoma with a 4 cylinder open diff axle housing
Same procedure for the front solid axle??? I have the same yota… 85 👍
great job sir,,what is the name of the company where to buy the differential casing sir?
What’s the price for doing this?
did you have to grind or flatten anything inside the housing?
no
72 Nova??? I have one in my driveway! Not as clean though haha.
What would something like this cost??

Is the locker side axel spline longer. or do the open center factory axels work.
The stock axles worked fine
@@temeculatransmissiondiffer3040 thanks, looking at doing this to my turbo diesel hilux.
how do i know if my 1991 hilux is a low pinion or a high pinion?
If the pinion is below the center line of the differential, it is a low pinion. If it is above the center line, it is a high pinion.
How did you make a straight drill ?
I mocked up the empty e locker 3rd member housing and used it as a guide. it is explained at the end of the clip
Is 4.88?
Did the driveshaft bolt up to the elocker flange?
Yes it did!
Temecula Transmission & Differential awesome thanks! Getting ready to swap a Tacoma elocker axle under my 86 Toyota Pickup.
Thank you for posting.
How did you cut the housing to fit the e-locker?
Can you use the same elocker for a front axle? (1984 and 1985 T4R)
