John, you have to remember, at that point, there was only one FPS Duke Nukem, and 2 sidescrollers. So Duke Nukem being an FPS was actually the outcast.
So cool to see someone talk a bit about Knockout Kings! It's sort of been forgotten after Fight Night took over, but the bones of Fight Night started with Knockout Kings
Yes, originally Fighting Force was going to be Streets of Rage 4. At least it was pitched that way, but Eidos wanted it to be multiplatform and obviously SEGA wasnt cool with that and declined.
Note to anyone who does not know. Magical Tetris Challenge is not just another Tetris. It introduces new shapes to the mix, something 98% of the other Tetrises don't do.
He just pumps stuff out with very little research done and just the most basic commentary. I’m new to this channel and it’s kinda like comfort food but he’s not the most insightful content creator.
The movie Episode 1 came out in May of 1999. It was the Special Editions of the Original Trilogy that came out in 1997. So it would've been impossible for the Racer game to exist before 99 since the movie didn't exist yet.
In Australia, Beetle Adventure Racing got released as well as a reskin version called HSV Adventure Racing, with the cars being Holden HSV Commodores instead of VM Beetles.
Phantom Menace premiered in theaters in March of '99, Racer released in June or July that summer, so not really sure where you'd be getting the idea the game came out before the film... Beetle Adventure Racing is one of the best racing games on the N64, bit of a hidden gem nowadays. People definitely shouldn't be so quick to dismiss it merely because of the licensing.
Interesting fact: the Star wars episode 1 racer game released before the movie did in the United States but I got the game in December of 1998 and it wasn't fully completed. It was pretty much a prototype
The Beetle was still a thing even later. My current car was an 2007 covertable. there is so little space in there. it has a back seat but nobody would ever be able to fit (little kids much less adults)
I was playing Castlevania and Smash but I was excited by the Dreamcast launch. I prepared for it, picked up some games that were put out early and stood in line at target before they opened. I ended up being the only one in line 😂 and the people inside didn't know what I was talking about
Duke Nukem Zero Hour was pretty good. I had the choice between that game and Army Men Sarge's Heroes. Zero Hour does not hold up well today due to how slow it plays, but it was great for its time. The only drawback was that there were no checkpoints in any of the levels. There were quite a few sections where instant death occurred. You also had to remember what you did previously in a given level. If you took an elevator and went to the second floor of a building, but the time machine part was through some vents that led down to the first floor only have to use the elevator again to continue through the level, you had to remember to get out of the way when you push the button for the elevator to avoid being squashed. If you were squished, then you had to start the level over again.
Man, that "Namco Museum 64" looks awesome! My grandma had "Ms. Pac Man" for gameboy, while my older bro had the Galaga/Galaxian for gameboy! they eventually grew out of playing those games.. luckily I didnt! as I still own their cartridges to this day!! "Sarge's Heroes" is pretty hard but still a lot of fun! That's one of those games that you're better off playing on an emulator with the quick-save..
Perfect Dark was (still is) my all-time favorite N64 game. It was the one game that got me to put down my Dreamcast controller. I bought it, and the memory pak deal on the same day. What a game! *Edit- I could have sworn I got Perfect Dark on the N64 in 1999.
I know it didn come out in 99 but this is the year i played the living poop dawg out of ocarina of time, the greatest game ever made( well at least in imo lol) it and breath of the wild. Hope ur doing well mr john riggs and i wish u and ur family a wonderful and safe merry christmas!
I played superman 64 the night before my friends wedding.drinking hot damn lol.the LONGEST wedding talk,I'm on stage, the whole time trying not to run off stage, and barf😂 pure he'll! Superman64,should be mandatory at guantanamo bay!!😮
I preferred wcw/nwo revenge by myself, but with wcw nitro,me and my family had a GREAT time with it. It was easier to grasp (or just easier to mash buttons and get lucky which evened the playing field.) We tried ALL the rings and cheats, and would just laugh. Terrible game, but such a great memory.
N64 was so great when you could get four controllers and 3 friends together. endless laughs with Mario Party, Kart, 007, NWO/WCW 😂 feel like I been the guy from your Mario Party story FOR sure 😂😂😂
lmao "how I played Harvest Moon 64 is I took it out and played WWF Wrestlemania 2000 instead" the shade. As much as I enjoy Knockout Kings 2000 and easily the best imo for the N64 I do think there are better boxing games later. The Final Night series for the 360/PS3 era are pretty fun. Whenever I see one of these lists I'm always shocked at how many racing games there were for the system
What you said about Mario party when I first came out is how I felt about smash Brothers when it first came out I was like oh meh And then I rented it and oh my goodness I'm so glad I did I purchased it the next weekend
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
N64 games 1998 ua-cam.com/video/jOeMKlv5WHY/v-deo.html
My nieces and nephews, who are in their 20s and 30s now, still have fond memories of us playing the Mario Party games, a lot of fun.
☺️☺️☺️

John Riggs working in a video store during 1999 is the most John Riggs thing I’ve heard haha
Yep! Video Update.
Diddy Kong Racing, San Francisco Rush 2049, and Wave Race 64 remain my favorite N64 racing games.
Those are great games!
Note to anyone who does not know. Magical Tetris Challenge is not just another Tetris. It introduces new shapes to the mix, something 98% of the other Tetrises don't do.
I really enjoy Magical Tetris Challenge. It is very fun and challenging
Thanks.
Star Wars Episode 1 came out in 1999, so the game being out in the same year made perfect sense?
He may have confused it with the Star Wars re-release in 1997.
He just pumps stuff out with very little research done and just the most basic commentary. I’m new to this channel and it’s kinda like comfort food but he’s not the most insightful content creator.

Jet Force Gemini, never beat it on account that you have to find every single one of those teddy bears.
Liked the video before I skipped the ad; that's how confident I am this will be good!
Right?! Just like pizza: even if it’s bad , it’s still good. Lol.
haha, well, glad you did. Unless you really love adblockers and 'liked' the ad for adblockers (which is weird)
@JohnRiggs I'm fairly certain it counted towards your likes!!
Gauntlet Legends is the GOAT!
Shadow Man was such a criminally underrated game
Phantom Menace premiered in theaters in March of '99, Racer released in June or July that summer, so not really sure where you'd be getting the idea the game came out before the film...

Mario Golf RULES
a fascinating display of cute graphics, and excellent physical simulation
PLUM needs to return
Resident evil 2 is my favorite 64 game for sure
I’ve seen and have all from 1980-Now what a life of gaming
These longer videos are much better than the shorter ones :)
I love chameleontwist 2 I used to rent it at blockbuster all the time😢I’ll need to grab me a copy one day.
I have never heard of that game in my life. I wish you luck in finding a copy because that has to be rare. What kind of game is it?
The Beetle was still a thing even later. My current car was an 2007 covertable. there is so little space in there. it has a back seat but nobody would ever be able to fit (little kids much less adults)

Love the 64. This vid is a lot of fun!

The xena game is actually really fun. I've only played it on an emulator for first time recently. Its like street fighter but in 3D with swords.
I played superman 64 the night before my friends wedding.drinking hot damn lol.the LONGEST wedding talk,I'm on stage, the whole time trying not to run off stage, and barf😂 pure he'll! Superman64,should be mandatory at guantanamo bay!!😮
Still loving these videos. Looking forward to the next.
For me, Superman 64 was a rental from Hollywood Video that went back before the 5 day rental period...
We all know that Superman 64 is going to be on this list as the worst N64 game. It's so bad that the people who play during the demo just give up.
I too have never been in a beetle nor know of anyone who had one. Pretty crazy considering there were so many on the road!
I remember they had just redesigned the VW Beetle in 1996 and had a strong marketing campaign. #Fahrvergnügen
N64 was so great when you could get four controllers and 3 friends together. endless laughs with Mario Party, Kart, 007, NWO/WCW 😂 feel like I been the guy from your Mario Party story FOR sure 😂😂😂
Now it’s wirelessly connecting controllers and playing with people 873 miles away.
🤔
The Nintendo64 so good in my country. Greeting from Kingdom of Jolof. Merry Christmas. Sad about the Diddy in jail!

Party like it's 1999!!..... Baby....
Ah limp bisket....
I am from California and loved nwa/wcw better than wwf/wwe
As much as much people love No Mercy I prefer Virtual Pro Wrestling 2: Ōdō Keishō and WCW/nWo Revenge.
Oh, same. Without a doubt VPW2 is the best wrestling game on N64
lmao "how I played Harvest Moon 64 is I took it out and played WWF Wrestlemania 2000 instead" the shade. My you have a blessed Saturday
shadow's was the earlier star wars. blew our minds.
Episode 1 came out in theaters in 99.
"If You Ain't First Your Last!!!"
Tetris ds ft nintendo is the g.o.a.t
1999 was a good year for the N64
Hello Bro
Now I'm gonna party like is 1999
(insert Prince sfx)
@@JohnRiggs Yes🎆🎈🎈🎊🎊🎈
Casrlevania 64/LOD are great games! just not on par with the other castlevanias in direct comparison. Still fun. Fun jank.
What you said about Mario party when I first came out is how I felt about smash Brothers when it first came out I was like oh meh
And then I rented it and oh my goodness I'm so glad I did I purchased it the next weekend
I remember that! good lord. Well I guess it worked.
20:40 war zone was good once you got to grips with it
South park was fun
Why is the gameplay so small? The giant borders are a little distracting
Riggs the Rabbit! Riggs the Rabbit!
To us Winback was our metal gear lol
I feel like Winback was closer to Metal Gear Solid for the N64.
It, for sure, is.
Star Wars episode 1 came out in 1999.
First I guess haha. Castlevania was very good for the time. Still playable for a 64 game
•+•* Big Riggs 🚛 John *•+•
never steers me wrong!! 👍
I thought you said MrDr's, not mergers... hahaha
Star Wars Episode I came out in 1999, not 1997.
Best N64 games EVER are AKI wrasslin games.
Should've gotten Mario extreme foosball 64!
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
More Quake for your take?
Hi Riggs , how are you doing 👋😁
chillin'
Give me zero g 2!
No Ogre Battle 64??
Why are they milking the Tetris?
Overrated console. It did blow my mind though playing it at blockbuster video. PS2 is the best to me.
21st century lol
First
64 was a big mistake. Every port for it sucked
