I have seen a lot of drummers do a lot of things in my day...but never have I ever seen a drummer cross over to play the ride cymbal like that. :)
I have the sneaking suspicion that he's left handed, but plays on a right handed kit. It looks like he leads with his left hand throughout. Any drummers have any ideas?
@@harrywedel95 its looks more like he plays on a lefty setup with the ride and hi-hats switched.
Weds - I was self-taught and played open style, which I assume he does as well... I used to use 2 ride cymbals, one on each side (Simon Phillips does the same) because my dexterity is different with each hand. It was just too awkward to cross over as he does. Good for him though. He keeps the song together well.
well i like to play open handed on a right-handed kit, and i'm left handed, so guess we are weird.
@Weds He's definitely left handed. he begins all of his chops with his left hand. It's mostly a right handed set up except He simply moved the floor tom to the other side of the hat, and brought his ride in close so he can cross over and play it left handed.

this is the first time i noticed when watching them live and bruh... Let Me Tell You. As a musician since as long as i can remember (Mainly a guitarist since about 13, 28 now) but my Dad i a drummer so i grew up learning/loving that too and when they closed up on him playing, ***sigh*** as much as i was jamming with them, That got me in the heart a lil bit Hahaha but honestly. It works for him. and in NO WAY AM I SAYING HE IS NOT A GOOD DRUMMER THO. Honestly, if i never seen it. i woulda never cared i still love everything about this performance/band/their music =)
